< Job 40 >
1 Moreouer ye Lord spake vnto Iob, and said,
Awo Mukama n’agamba Yobu nti,
2 Is this to learne to striue with the Almightie? he that reprooueth God, let him answere to it.
“Oyo anoonya okuyombera ebitaliimu anaayombesa Ayinzabyonna? Oyo aleeta empaka ku Katonda, amuddemu.”
3 Then Iob answered the Lord, saying,
Awo Yobu n’addamu Mukama nti,
4 Beholde, I am vile: what shall I answere thee? I will lay mine hand vpon my mouth.
“Laba, sisaanidde, kiki kye nnaakuddamu? Emimwa kangibikkeko n’engalo.
5 Once haue I spoken, but I will answere no more, yea twise, but I will proceede no further.
Njogedde omulundi gumu, so siddemu; weewaawo emirundi ebiri sseeyongere mulundi mulala.”
6 Againe the Lord answered Iob out of the whirle winde, and said,
Awo Mukama ng’ali mu muyaga ogw’amaanyi n’addamu Yobu nti,
7 Girde vp now thy loynes like a man: I will demaunde of thee, and declare thou vnto me.
“Weesibe engoye zo onywere ng’omusajja. Ka nkubuuze, naawe onziremu.
8 Wilt thou disanul my iudgement? or wilt thou condemne me, that thou mayst be iustified?
“Onojjulula ensala yange ey’emisango; ononsingisa omusango ggwe atuukiridde?
9 Or hast thou an arme like God? or doest thou thunder with a voyce like him?
Olina omukono ng’ogwa Katonda, eddoboozi lyo lisobola okubwatuka ng’erirye?
10 Decke thy selfe now with maiestie and excellencie, and aray thy selfe with beautie and glory.
Kale nno yambala ekitiibwa n’obukulu weesibe ekitiibwa n’okusukkuluma osukkulume.
11 Cast abroad the indignation of thy wrath, and beholde euery one that is proude, and abase him.
Yolesa obusungu bw’ekiruyi kyo otunuulire buli wa malala omusse wansi.
12 Looke on euery one that is arrogant, and bring him lowe: and destroy the wicked in their place.
Tunuulira buli musajja ow’amalala omukkakkanye era olinnyirire abakozi b’ebibi obabetentere we bali.
13 Hide them in the dust together, and binde their faces in a secret place.
Bonna baziikire wamu mu nfuufu, emitwe gyabwe ogibikkire mu ntaana.
14 Then will I confesse vnto thee also, that thy right hand can saue thee.
Nange kennyini ndyoke nzikirize, ng’omukono gwo ogwa ddyo, gusobola okukuwa amaanyi.”
15 Behold now Behemoth (whom I made with thee) which eateth grasse as an oxe.
“Laba ekisolo ekyefaananyiriza ng’envubu kye natonda nga ggwe, erya omuddo ng’ente,
16 Behold now, his strength is in his loynes, and his force is in the nauil of his belly.
nga kirina amaanyi mayitirivu mu kiwato kyakyo amaanyi mangi mu binywa by’olubuto lwakyo.
17 When hee taketh pleasure, his taile is like a cedar: the sinews of his stones are wrapt together.
Kiwuuba omukira gwakyo ne guba ng’omukira gw’omuvule Ebinywa by’ebisambi byakyo byakwatagana nnyo.
18 His bones are like staues of brasse, and his small bones like staues of yron.
Amagumba gaakyo gali ng’enseke ez’ebikomo; amagulu n’emikono ng’emitayimbwa.
19 He is the chiefe of the wayes of God: he that made him, will make his sworde to approch vnto him.
Kibalibwa mu bitonde bya Katonda ebisooka, ate nga Katonda eyakitonda asobola okukisemberera n’ekitala kye.
20 Surely the mountaines bring him foorth grasse, where all the beastes of the fielde play.
Weewaawo ensozi zikireetera emmere, eyo ku nsozi, ensolo ez’omu nsiko zonna gye zizannyira.
21 Lyeth hee vnder the trees in the couert of the reede and fennes?
Wansi w’ebisiikirize by’emiti egy’amaggwa, we kyebaka, ne kyekweka mu bitoogo ne mu bitosi.
22 Can the trees couer him with their shadow? or can the willowes of the riuer compasse him about?
Ebisiikirize by’emiti bikibikkako, emiti egiri ku mabbali g’omugga ne gikibikkako.
23 Behold, he spoyleth the riuer, and hasteth not: he trusteth that he can draw vp Iorden into his mouth.
Laba omugga ne bwe gusiikuuka tekyekanga; kiba kinywevu, Yoludaani ne bwajjula n’abooga.
24 Hee taketh it with his eyes, and thrusteth his nose through whatsoeuer meeteth him.
Eriyo omuntu yenna ayinza okukikwata, oba okuyuza ennyindo yaakyo n’akasaale?”
