< Job 38 >
1 Then answered the Lord vnto Iob out of the whirle winde, and said,
and to answer LORD [obj] Job (from *Q(K)*) ([the] tempest *Q(k)*) and to say
2 Who is this that darkeneth the counsell by wordes without knowledge?
who? this to darken counsel in/on/with speech without knowledge
3 Girde vp nowe thy loynes like a man: I will demande of thee and declare thou vnto me.
to gird please like/as great man loin your and to ask you and to know me
4 Where wast thou when I layd the foundations of the earth? declare, if thou hast vnderstanding,
where? to be in/on/with to found I land: country/planet to tell if to know understanding
5 Who hath layde the measures thereof, if thou knowest, or who hath stretched the line ouer it:
who? to set: make measurement her for to know or who? to stretch upon her line
6 Whereupon are the foundations thereof set: or who layed the corner stone thereof:
upon what? socket her to sink or who? to shoot stone corner her
7 When the starres of the morning praysed me together, and all the children of God reioyced:
in/on/with to sing unitedness star morning and to shout all son: child God
8 Or who hath shut vp the Sea with doores, when it yssued and came foorth as out of the wombe:
and to fence in/on/with door sea in/on/with to burst/come out he from womb to come out: produce
9 When I made the cloudes as a couering thereof, and darkenesse as the swadeling bands thereof:
in/on/with to set: make I cloud clothing his and cloud swaddling his
10 When I stablished my commandement vpon it, and set barres and doores,
and to break upon him statute: allotment my and to set: make bar and door
11 And said, Hitherto shalt thou come, but no farther, and here shall it stay thy proude waues.

12 Hast thou commanded the morning since thy dayes? hast thou caused the morning to knowe his place,
from day your to command morning (to know [the] dawn *Q(K)*) place his
13 That it might take hold of the corners of the earth, and that the wicked might be shaken out of it?

14 It is turned as clay to facion, and all stand vp as a garment.

15 And from the wicked their light shall be taken away, and the hie arme shalbe broken.

16 Hast thou entred into the bottomes of the sea? or hast thou walked to seeke out the depth?

17 Haue the gates of death bene opened vnto thee? or hast thou seene the gates of the shadowe of death?
to reveal: reveal to/for you gate death and gate shadow to see: see
18 Hast thou perceiued the breadth of the earth? tell if thou knowest all this.
to understand till breadth land: country/planet to tell if to know all her
19 Where is the way where light dwelleth? and where is the place of darkenesse,
where? this [the] way: direction to dwell light and darkness where? this place his
20 That thou shouldest receiue it in the boundes thereof, and that thou shouldest knowe the paths to the house thereof?
for to take: take him to(wards) border: area his and for to understand path house: home his
21 Knewest thou it, because thou wast then borne, and because the nomber of thy dayes is great?
to know for then to beget and number day your many
22 Hast thou entred into the treasures of the snow? or hast thou seene the treasures of ye haile,
to come (in): come to(wards) treasure snow and treasure hail to see: see
23 Which I haue hid against the time of trouble, against the day of warre and battell?
which to withhold to/for time distress to/for day battle and battle
24 By what way is the light parted, which scattereth the East winde vpon the earth?
where? this [the] way: direction to divide light to scatter east upon land: country/planet
25 Who hath deuided the spowtes for the raine? or the way for the lightning of ye thunders,
who? to divide to/for flood conduit and way: road to/for lightning voice: thunder
26 To cause it to raine on the earth where no man is, and in the wildernes where there is no man?
to/for to rain upon land: country/planet not man: anyone wilderness not man in/on/with him
27 To fulfil the wilde and waste place, and to cause the bud of the herbe to spring forth?
to/for to satisfy devastation and desolation and to/for to spring exit grass
28 Who is the father of the rayne? or who hath begotten the droppes of the dewe?
there to/for rain father or who? to beget drop dew
29 Out of whose wombe came the yee? who hath ingendred the frost of the heauen?
from belly: womb who? to come out: come [the] ice and frost heaven who? to beget him
30 The waters are hid as with a stone: and the face of the depth is frosen.

31 Canst thou restraine the sweete influences of the Pleiades? or loose the bandes of Orion?
to conspire bond Pleiades or cord Orion to open
32 Canst thou bring foorth Mazzaroth in their time? canst thou also guide Arcturus with his sonnes?
to come out: send Mazzaroth in/on/with time his and Bear upon son: child her to lead them
33 Knowest thou the course of heauen, or canst thou set the rule thereof in the earth?
to know statute heaven if: surely no to set: make rule his in/on/with land: country/planet
34 Canst thou lift vp thy voice to the cloudes that the aboundance of water may couer thee?
to exalt to/for cloud voice your and abundance water to cover you
35 Canst thou sende the lightenings that they may walke, and say vnto thee, Loe, heere we are?
to send: depart lightning and to go: went and to say to/for you look! we
36 Who hath put wisedome in the reines? or who hath giuen the heart vnderstanding?
who? to set: put in/on/with inner parts wisdom or who? to give: give to/for heart understanding
37 Who can nomber cloudes by wisedome? or who can cause to cease the bottels of heaue,
who? to recount cloud in/on/with wisdom and bag heaven who? to lie down: lay down
38 When the earth groweth into hardnesse, and the clottes are fast together?
in/on/with to pour: pour dust to/for casting and clod to cleave
39 Wilt thou hunt the pray for the lyon? or fill the appetite of the lyons whelpes,
to hunt to/for lion prey and living thing lion to fill
40 When they couch in their places, and remaine in the couert to lye in waite?
for to bow in/on/with habitation to dwell in/on/with booth upon ambush
41 Who prepareth for the rauen his meate, when his birdes crie vnto God, wandering for lacke of meate?
who? to establish: prepare to/for raven food his for (youth his *Q(K)*) to(wards) God to cry to go astray to/for without food
