Job 36
1 Elihu also proceeded and sayde,
१अलीहू बोलणे चालू ठेवून म्हणाला,
2 Suffer me a litle, and I will instruct thee: for I haue yet to speake on Gods behalfe.
२“तू मला आणखी थोडे बोलण्याची परवानगी दे कारण मला देवाच्या बाजूने आणखी बोलायचे आहे.
3 I will fetche my knowledge afarre off, and will attribute righteousnes vnto my Maker.
३मी माझे ज्ञान सगळ्यांना वाटतो देवाने मला निर्माण केले आणि देव न्यायी आहे हे मी सिध्द करेन.
4 For truely my wordes shall not be false, and he that is perfect in knowledge, speaketh with thee.
४खरोखर, माझे शब्द खोटे असणार नाहीत, कोणीतरी ज्ञानाने समजूतदार असा तुम्हाबरोबर आहे.
5 Behold, the mighty God casteth away none that is mighty and valiant of courage.
५देव अतिशय सामर्थ्यवान आहे, पण तो लोकांचा तिरस्कार करीत नाही तो सामर्थ्यवान असून फार सूज्ञ आहे.
6 He mainteineth not the wicked, but he giueth iudgement to the afflicted.
६तो दुष्टांना वाचवीत नाही, तर तो त्याऐवजी जे दुःखात आहेत त्यांच्यासाठी चांगले ते करतो.
7 He withdraweth not his eyes from the righteous, but they are with Kings in ye throne, where he placeth them for euer: thus they are exalted.
७जे लोक योग्य रीतीने वागतात त्यांच्यावर देव नजर ठेवतो. तो चांगल्या लोकांस राज्य करु देतो. तो चांगल्यांना सदैव उंच करतो.
8 And if they bee bound in fetters and tyed with the cordes of affliction,
८जर, साखळदंडानी ठेवले, जर त्यांना त्रासाच्या दोऱ्यांनी बांधून ठेवले
9 Then will he shewe them their worke and their sinnes, because they haue bene proude.
९आणि त्यांनी काय चूक केली ते देव त्यांना सांगेल. देव त्यांना सांगेल की त्यांनी पाप केले आहे. देव त्यांना ते गर्विष्ठ होते असे सांगेल.
10 He openeth also their eare to discipline, and commandeth them that they returne from iniquity.
१०तो त्यांचे कान त्याच्या सूचना ऐकण्यास उघडतो, तो त्यांना अन्यायापासून मागे वळवतो.
11 If they obey and serue him, they shall end their dayes in prosperity, and their yeres in pleasures.
११जर त्या लोकांनी देवाचे ऐकले, त्याची उपासना करतील, तर ते त्यांचे दिवस सुखाने घालतील.
12 But if they wil not obey, they shall passe by the sworde, and perish without knowledge.
१२परंतु जर त्यांनी ऐकले नाही तर ते तलवारीने नाश पावतील, त्यांना ज्ञान न होता मरण येईल.
13 But the hypocrites of heart increase the wrath: for they call not when he bindeth them.
१३जे लोक देवाची पर्वा करीत नाहीत ते सदा कटू (रागावलेले) असतात. देवाने जरी त्यांना बांधले तरी ते देवाकडे मदत मागायला तयार नसतात.
14 Their soule dyeth in youth, and their life among the whoremongers.
१४ते अगदी तरुणपणी मरतील, त्यांचे जीवन कंलकीत होऊन संपेल.
15 He deliuereth the poore in his affliction, and openeth their eare in trouble.
१५परंतु देव दु: खी लोकांस त्यांच्या दु: खातून सोडवील विपत्तीच्या द्वारे कानउघडणी करतो.
16 Euen so woulde he haue taken thee out of the streight place into a broade place and not shut vp beneath: and that which resteth vpon thy table, had bene full of fat.
१६खरोखर, त्यास तुला दुःखातून काढायला आवडते व अडचण नसलेल्या मोकळ्या जागी नेतो, आणि तुझ्या जेवणाच्या टेबलावर भरपूर पौष्टीक अन्न ठेवले असते.
17 But thou art ful of the iudgement of the wicked, though iudgement and equitie maintaine all things.
१७परंतु आता तुला अपराधी ठरवण्यात आले आहे, दोषारोप व न्याय तुलाच धरतात.
18 For Gods wrath is, least hee should take that away in thine abundance: for no multitude of giftes can deliuer thee.
१८तू श्रीमंतीमुळे मूर्ख बनू नकोस. लाच तुला न पकडो आणि न्यायापासून दूर घेवून जावो.
19 Wil he regard thy riches? he regardeth not golde, nor all them that excel in strength.
१९आता तुझ्या सपंत्तीचा तुला काही नफा होईल काय, म्हणजे तू दुःखी होणार नाहीस किंवा तुझ्या सर्व सामर्थ्याचा तुला काही उपयोग होईल काय?
20 Be not carefull in the night, howe he destroyeth the people out of their place.
२०दुसऱ्या विरूद्ध पाप करण्यास तू रात्र होण्याची इच्छा मनी बाळगू नकोस, लोक रात्री पसार होण्याची वेळ प्रयत्न करतात.
21 Take thou heede: looke not to iniquitie: for thou hast chosen it rather then affliction.
२१काळजीपूर्वक रहा पापाकडे वळू नकोस. कारण तुझी त्रासातून परीक्षा झाली आहे, म्हणून तू पापापासुन दूर रहा.
22 Beholde, God exalteth by his power: what teacher is like him?
२२पाहा, देव त्याच्या सामर्थ्याने सर्वोच्च आहे. त्याच्या समान कोण शिक्षक आहे?
23 Who hath appointed to him his way? or who can say, Thou hast done wickedly?
२३त्याच्या मार्गाबद्दल त्यास कोण सुचीत करील? ‘देवा तू अयोग्य केलेस’ असे कोणी त्यास म्हणू शकत नाही.
24 Remember that thou magnifie his worke, which men behold.
२४त्याने जे काही केले त्याबद्दल लोकांनी त्याच्या स्तुतीवर अनेक गाणी रचली आहेत.
25 All men see it, and men beholde it afarre off.
२५त्याने कार्य केले ते प्रत्येक मनुष्याला दिसते. दूरदूरच्या देशांतील लोकांसही देवाचे महान कार्य दिसतात.
26 Beholde, God is excellent, and we knowe him not, neither can the nomber of his yeres bee searched out.
२६होय, देव महान आहे परंतु त्याची महानता आपल्याला कळत नाही. आम्ही त्याच्या वर्षाची संख्या पाहाणे अशक्य आहे.
27 When he restraineth the droppes of water, the rayne powreth down by the vapour thereof,
२७तो पृथ्वीवरुन पाणी घेऊन त्याचे धुके आणि पाऊस यामध्ये रुपांतर करतो.
28 Which raine the cloudes do droppe and let fall abundantly vpon man.
२८अशा रीतीने ढग पाऊस पाडतात आणि तो खूप लोकांवर पडतो.
29 Who can know the diuisions of ye clouds and the thunders of his tabernacle?
२९खरोखर, तू समजो शकतो का तो ढगांची पाखरण कशी करतो आकाशात ढगांचा गडगडाट कसा होतो?
30 Beholde, he spreadeth his light vpon it, and couereth the bottome of the sea.
३०बघ, तो विजेला पृथ्वीवर सर्वदूर पाठवतो आणि समुद्राचा खोल भागही त्यामध्ये येतो.
31 For thereby hee iudgeth the people, and giueth meate abundantly.
३१तो त्याचा उपयोग राष्ट्रांना काबूत ठेवण्यासाठी करतो आणि त्यांना भरपूर अन्न देतो.
32 He couereth the light with the clouds, and commandeth them to go against it.
३२तो आपल्या हातांनी विजेला पकडतो आणि त्यास हवे तेथे पडण्याची तिला आज्ञा करतो.
33 His companion sheweth him thereof, and there is anger in rising vp.
३३मेघांच्या गडगडाटामुळे वादळाची सूचना मिळते. जनावरांना सुध्दा वादळाची चाहूल लागते.”
