Job 34
1 Moreouer Elihu answered, and saide,
Y respondió Eliú, y dijo:
2 Heare my wordes, ye wise men, and hearken vnto me, ye that haue knowledge.
Oíd sabios, mis palabras, y doctos escuchádme:
3 For the eare tryeth the words, as the mouth tasteth meate.
Porque el oído prueba las palabras, y el paladar gusta para comer.
4 Let vs seeke iudgement among vs, and let vs knowe among our selues what is good.
Escojamos para vosotros el juicio, conozcamos entre nosotros cual sea lo bueno.
5 For Iob hath saide, I am righteous, and God hath taken away my iudgement.
Porque Job ha dicho: Yo soy justo, y Dios me ha quitado mi derecho.
6 Should I lye in my right? my wound of the arrowe is grieuous without my sinne.
En mi juicio yo fui mentiroso, mi saeta es gravada sin haber yo prevaricado.
7 What man is like Iob, that drinketh scornfulnesse like water?
¿Qué hombre hay como Job, que bebe el escarnio como agua?
8 Which goeth in the companie of them that worke iniquitie, and walketh with wicked men?
Y va en compañía con los que obran iniquidad, y anda con los hombres maliciosos.
9 For he hath saide, It profiteth a man nothing that he should walke with God.
Porque dijo: De nada servirá al hombre, si conformare su voluntad con Dios.
10 Therefore hearken vnto me, ye men of wisedome, God forbid that wickednesse should be in God, and iniquitie in the Almightie.
Por tanto varones de seso, oídme: Lejos vaya de Dios la impiedad, y del Omnipotente la iniquidad.
11 For he will render vnto man according to his worke, and cause euery one to finde according to his way.
Porque él pagará al hombre su obra, y él le hará hallar conforme a su camino,
12 And certainely God will not do wickedly, neither will the Almightie peruert iudgement.
Además de esto, cierto Dios no hará injusticia, y el Omnipotente no pervertirá el derecho.
13 Whome hath he appointed ouer the earth beside him selfe? or who hath placed the whole worlde?
¿Quién visitó por él la tierra? ¿y quién puso en orden todo el mundo?
14 If he set his heart vpon man, and gather vnto him selfe his spirit and his breath,
Si él pusiese sobre el hombre su corazón, y recogiese a sí su espíritu y su aliento,
15 All flesh shall perish together, and man shall returne vnto dust.
Toda carne perecería juntamente, y el hombre se tornaría en polvo.
16 And if thou hast vnderstanding, heare this and hearken to the voyce of my wordes.
Y si hay en ti entendimiento, oye esto: escucha la voz de mis palabras.
17 Shal he that hateth iudgement, gouerne? and wilt thou iudge him wicked that is most iust?
¿Enseñorearse ha el que aborrece juicio? ¿y condenarás al poderoso siendo justo?
18 Wilt thou say vnto a King, Thou art wicked? or to princes, Ye are vngodly?
¿Decirse ha al rey: Perverso eres; y a los príncipes: Impíos sois?
19 How much lesse to him that accepteth not the persons of princes, and regardeth not the rich, more then the poore? for they be all the worke of his handes.
¿ Cuánto menos a aquel que no hace acepción de personas de príncipes, ni el rico es de él más respetado que el pobre? porque todos son obras de sus manos.
20 They shall die suddenly, and the people shalbe troubled at midnight, and they shall passe foorth and take away the mightie without hand.
En un momento mueren, y a media noche se alborotarán los pueblos, y pasarán, y sin mano será quitado el poderoso.
21 For his eyes are vpon the wayes of man, and he seeth all his goings.
Porque sus ojos están sobre los caminos del hombre, y todos sus pasos ve.
22 There is no darkenesse nor shadowe of death, that the workers of iniquitie might be hid therein.
No hay tinieblas, ni sombra de muerte, donde se encubran los que obran maldad.
23 For he will not lay on man so much, that he should enter into iudgement with God.
Porque nunca más permitirá al hombre, que vaya con Dios a juicio.
24 He shall breake the mightie without seeking, and shall set vp other in their stead.
Él quebrantará a los fuertes sin pesquisa: y hará estar otros en lugar de ellos.
25 Therefore shall he declare their works: he shall turne the night, and they shalbe destroyed.
Por tanto él hará notorias las obras de ellos; y volverá la noche, y serán quebrantados.
26 He striketh them as wicked men in the places of the seers,
Como a malos los herirá en lugar donde sean vistos.
27 Because they haue turned backe from him, and would not consider all his wayes:
Por cuanto se apartaron de él así, y no consideraron todos sus caminos:
28 So that they haue caused the voyce of the poore to come vnto him, and he hath heard the cry of the afflicted.
Haciendo venir delante de sí el clamor del pobre, y oyendo el clamor de los necesitados.
29 And when he giueth quietnesse, who can make trouble? and when he hideth his face, who can beholde him, whether it be vpon nations, or vpon a man onely?
Y si él diere reposo, ¿quién inquietará? Si escondiere el rostro, ¿quién le mirará? Esto sobre una nación, y asimismo sobre un hombre:
30 Because the hypocrite doeth reigne, and because the people are snared.
Haciendo que reine el hombre hipócrita para escándalos del pueblo.
31 Surely it appertaineth vnto God to say, I haue pardoned, I will not destroy.
Porque de Dios es decir: Yo perdoné, no destruiré.
32 But if I see not, teach thou me: if I haue done wickedly, I will doe no more.
Enséñame tú lo que yo no veo: que si hice mal, no lo haré más.
33 Wil he performe the thing through thee? for thou hast reproued it, because that thou hast chosen, and not I. now speake what thou knowest.
¿ Ha de ser eso según tu mente? Él te recompensará, que no quieras tú, o quieras, y no yo: di lo que sabes.
34 Let men of vnderstanding tell me, and let a wise man hearken vnto me.
Los hombres de seso dirán conmigo, y el hombre sabio me oirá.
35 Iob hath not spoken of knowledge, neyther were his wordes according to wisedome.
Job no habla con sabiduría, y sus palabras no son con entendimiento.
36 I desire that Iob may be tryed, vnto the ende touching the answeres for wicked men.
Deseo que Job sea probado luengamente: para que haya respuestas contra los varones inicuos.
37 For he addeth rebellion vnto his sinne: he clappeth his handes among vs, and multiplieth his wordes against God.
Por cuanto a su pecado añadió impiedad: bate las manos entre nosotros, y multiplica sus palabras contra Dios.
