Job 31
1 I made a couenant with mine eyes: why then should I thinke on a mayde?
௧என் கண்களுடன் உடன்படிக்கைசெய்த நான் ஒரு கன்னிகையின்மேல் நினைவாக இருப்பதெப்படி?
2 For what portion should I haue of God from aboue? and what inheritance of the Almightie from on hie?
௨அப்பொழுது உன்னதங்களிலிருந்து தேவன் அளிக்கும் பங்கும், உன்னதத்திலிருந்து சர்வவல்லமையுள்ள தேவன் கொடுக்கும் பங்கும் கிடைக்குமோ?
3 Is not destruction to the wicked and strange punishment to the workers of iniquitie?
௩மாறுபாடானவனுக்கு ஆபத்தும், அக்கிரமக்காரருக்கு தண்டனையுமல்லவோ கிடைக்கும்.
4 Doeth not he beholde my wayes and tell all my steps?
௪அவர் என் வழிகளைப் பார்த்து, என் நடைகளையெல்லாம் கணக்கிடுகிறார் அல்லவோ?
5 If I haue walked in vanitie, or if my foote hath made haste to deceite,
௫நான் மாயையிலே நடந்தேனோ, என் கால் தவறுசெய்ய வேகமானதோ என்று,
6 Let God weigh me in the iust balance, and he shall know mine vprightnes.
௬சரியான தராசிலே தேவன் என்னை நிறுத்து, என் உத்தமத்தை அறிவாராக.
7 If my steppe hath turned out of the way, or mine heart hath walked after mine eye, or if any blot hath cleaued to mine handes,
௭என் நடைகள் வழியைவிட்டு விலகினதும், என் இருதயம் என் கண்களைப் பின்தொடர்ந்ததும், ஏதாகிலும் ஒரு குற்றம் என் கைகளில் ஒட்டிக்கொண்டதும் இருந்தால்,
8 Let me sowe, and let another eate: yea, let my plantes be rooted out.
௮அப்பொழுது நான் விதைத்ததை வேறொருவன் சாப்பிடுவானாக; என் பயிர்கள் வேர் இல்லாமல் போகக்கடவது.
9 If mine heart hath bene deceiued by a woman, or if I haue layde wayte at the doore of my neighbour,
௯என் மனம் எந்தப் பெண்ணின்மேல் மயங்கி, அடுத்தவனுடைய வாசலை நான் எட்டிப் பார்த்திருந்தால்,
10 Let my wife grinde vnto another man, and let other men bow downe vpon her:
௧0அப்பொழுது என் மனைவி வேறொருவனுக்கு மாவரைப்பாளாக; வேறு மனிதர் அவள்மேல் சாய்வார்களாக.
11 For this is a wickednes, and iniquitie to bee condemned:
௧௧அது தவறு, அது நியாயாதிபதிகளால் விசாரிக்கப்படும் குற்றமாமே.
12 Yea, this is a fire that shall deuoure to destruction, and which shall roote out al mine increase,
௧௨அது பாதாளம்வரை எரிக்கும் நெருப்பாய் என் விளைச்சல்களையெல்லாம் அழிக்கும்.
13 If I did contemne the iudgement of my seruant, and of my mayde, when they did contend with me,
௧௩என் வேலைக்காரனோ, என் வேலைக்காரியோ, என்னுடன் வழக்காடும்போது, அவர்கள் நியாயத்தை நான் அசட்டைசெய்திருந்தால்,
14 What then shall I do when God standeth vp? and when he shall visit me, what shall I answere?
௧௪தேவன் எழும்பும்போது, நான் என்ன செய்வேன்; அவர் விசாரிக்கும்போது, நான் அவருக்கு திரும்ப என்ன பதில் சொல்லுவேன்.
15 He that hath made me in the wombe, hath he not made him? hath not he alone facioned vs in the wombe?
௧௫தாயின் கர்ப்பத்தில் என்னை உண்டாக்கியவர் அவனையும் உண்டாக்கினார் அல்லவோ? ஒரேவிதமான கர்ப்பத்தில் எங்களை உருவாக்கினார் அல்லவோ?
16 If I restrained the poore of their desire, or haue caused the eyes of the widow to faile,
௧௬ஏழைகள் விரும்பியதை நான் கொடுக்காமலிருந்து, விதவையின் கண்ணீரினால் கண்களைப் பூத்துப்போகவைத்து,
17 Or haue eaten my morsels alone, and the fatherles hath not eaten thereof,
௧௭தாய் தகப்பனில்லாத பிள்ளை என் ஆகாரத்தில் சாப்பிடாமல், நான் ஒருவனாய்ச் சாப்பிட்டதுண்டோ?
18 (For from my youth hee hath growen vp with me as with a father, and from my mothers wombe I haue bene a guide vnto her)
௧௮என் சிறுவயதுமுதல் அவனுடைய தகப்பனிடத்தில் வளர்வதுபோல என்னுடன் வளர்ந்தான்; நான் என் தாயின் கர்ப்பத்தில் பிறந்ததுமுதல் அப்படிப்பட்டவர்களை கைபிடித்து நடத்தினேன்.
19 If I haue seene any perish for want of clothing, or any poore without couering,
௧௯ஒருவன் உடையில்லாததினால் மடிந்துபோகிறதையும், ஏழைக்கு அணிய ஆடையில்லாதிருக்கிறதையும் நான் கண்டபோது,
20 If his loynes haue not blessed me, because he was warmed with the fleece of my sheepe,
௨0அவன் என் ஆட்டுரோமக் கம்பளியினாலே அனல்கொண்டதினால், அவனுடைய இருதயம் என்னைப் புகழாதிருந்ததும்,
21 If I haue lift vp mine hande against the fatherlesse, when I saw that I might helpe him in the gate,
௨௧ஒலிமுகவாசலில் எனக்குச் செல்வாக்கு உண்டென்று நான் கண்டு, திக்கற்றவனுக்கு விரோதமாக என் கையை நீட்டினதும் உண்டானால்,
22 Let mine arme fal from my shoulder, and mine arme be broken from the bone.
௨௨என் கை தோள்பட்டையிலிருந்து விலகி, என் கையின் எலும்பு முறிந்துபோவதாக.
23 For Gods punishment was fearefull vnto me, and I could not be deliuered from his highnes.
௨௩தேவன் தண்டிப்பார் என்றும், அவருடைய மகிமைக்கு முன் நிற்கமுடியாது என்றும், எனக்குப் பயங்கரமாயிருந்தது.
24 If I made gold mine hope, or haue sayd to the wedge of golde, Thou art my confidence,
௨௪நான் பொன்னின்மேல் என் நம்பிக்கையை வைத்து, தங்கத்தைப்பார்த்து: நீ என் ஆதரவு என்று நான் சொன்னதும்,
25 If I reioyced because my substance was great, or because mine hand had gotten much,
௨௫என் செல்வம் அதிகமென்றும், என் கைக்கு அதிகமாக கிடைத்ததென்றும் நான் மகிழ்ந்ததும்,
26 If I did behold the sunne, when it shined, or the moone, walking in her brightnes,
௨௬சூரியன் பிரகாசிக்கும்போதும், அல்லது சந்திரன் மகிமையாகச் செல்லும்போதும், நான் அதை நோக்கி:
27 If mine heart did flatter me in secrete, or if my mouth did kisse mine hand,
௨௭என் மனம் இரகசியமாக மயங்கி, என் வாய் என் கையை முத்தம் செய்ததுண்டானால்,
28 (This also had bene an iniquitie to be condemned: for I had denied the God aboue)
௨௮இதுவும் நியாயாதிபதிகளால் விசாரிக்கப்படத்தக்க அக்கிரமமாயிருக்கும்; அதினால் உன்னதத்திலிருக்கிற தேவனை மறுதலிப்பேனே.
29 If I reioyced at his destruction that hated me, or was mooued to ioye when euill came vpon him,
௨௯என் பகைவனுடைய ஆபத்திலே நான் மகிழ்ந்து, பொல்லாப்பு அவனுக்கு நடந்தபோது மகிழ்ந்திருந்தேனோ?
30 Neither haue I suffred my mouth to sinne, by wishing a curse vnto his soule.
௩0அவன் உயிருக்குச் சாபத்தைக் கொடுக்க விரும்பி, வாயினால் பாவம் செய்ய நான் இடங்கொடுக்கவில்லை.
31 Did not the men of my Tabernacle say, Who shall giue vs of his flesh? we can not bee satisfied.
௩௧அவனுடைய இனத்தார்களில் திருப்தியாகாதவனைக் காண்பிப்பவன் யாரென்று என் கூடாரத்தின் மனிதர் சொல்லமாட்டார்களோ?
32 The stranger did not lodge in the streete, but I opened my doores vnto him, that went by the way.
௩௨அந்நியர் வீதியிலே இரவு தங்கினதில்லை; வழிப்போக்கனுக்கு என் வாசல்களைத் திறந்தேன்.
33 If I haue hid my sinne, as Adam, concealing mine iniquitie in my bosome,
௩௩நான் ஆதாமைப்போல என் மீறுதல்களை மூடி, என் அக்கிரமத்தை என் மடியிலே ஒளித்துவைத்தேனோ?
34 Though I could haue made afraid a great multitude, yet the most contemptible of the families did feare me: so I kept silence, and went not out of the doore.
௩௪மிகுதியான என் மக்கள் கூட்டத்திற்கு நான் பயந்ததினாலாவது, மக்கள் செய்யும் இகழ்ச்சி என்னை அதிர்ச்சியடையச் செய்ததினாலாவது, நான் பேசாதிருந்து, வாசற்படியைவிட்டுப் புறப்படாதிருந்தேனோ?
35 Oh that I had some to heare me! beholde my signe that the Almightie will witnesse for me: though mine aduersary should write a booke against me,
௩௫ஆ, என் வழக்கைக் கேட்கிறவன் ஒருவன் இருந்தால் நலமாயிருக்கும்; இதோ, சர்வவல்லவர் எனக்கு பதில் அருளிச்செய்யவும், என் எதிராளி தன் வழக்கை எழுதிக்கொடுக்கவும் எனக்கு விருப்பமுண்டு.
36 Woulde not I take it vpon my shoulder, and binde it as a crowne vnto me?
௩௬அதை நான் என் தோளின்மேல் வைத்து, எனக்குக் கிரீடமாக அணிந்துகொள்வேனே.
37 I will tell him the nomber of my goings, and goe vnto him as to a prince.
௩௭அவனுக்கு நான் என் நடைகளைத் தொகை தொகையாகக் காண்பித்து, ஒரு பிரபுவைப்போல அவனிடத்தில் போவேன்.
38 If my lande cry against me, or the furrowes thereof complayne together,
௩௮எனக்கு விரோதமாக என் சொந்த பூமி கூப்பிடுகிறதும், அதின் வரப்புகள்கூட அழுகிறதும்,
39 If I haue eaten the fruites thereof without siluer: or if I haue grieued the soules of the masters thereof,
௩௯கூலிகொடுக்காமல் நான் அதின் பலனைச் சாப்பிட்டு, பயிரிட்டவர்களின் ஆத்துமாவை உபத்திரவப்படுத்தினதும் உண்டானால்,
40 Let thistles growe in steade of wheate, and cockle in the stead of Barley. The wordes of Iob are ended.
௪0அதில் கோதுமைக்குப் பதிலாக முள்ளும், வாற்கோதுமைக்குப் பதிலாகக் களையும் முளைக்கட்டும்” என்றான். யோபின் வார்த்தைகள் முடிந்தது.
