Job 30
1 Bvt now they that are yonger then I, mocke me: yea, they whose fathers I haue refused to set with the dogges of my flockes.
Ma ora, quelli che son minori d'età di me si ridono di me, I cui padri io non avrei degnato mettere Co' cani della mia graggia.
2 For whereto shoulde the strength of their handes haue serued mee, seeing age perished in them?
Ed anche, che mi avrebbe giovato la forza delle lor mani? La vecchiezza era perduta per loro.
3 For pouertie and famine they were solitary, fleeing into the wildernes, which is darke, desolate and waste.
Di bisogno e di fame, [Vivevano] in disparte, e solitari; Fuggivano in luoghi aridi, tenebrosi, desolati, e deserti.
4 They cut vp nettels by the bushes, and the iuniper rootes was their meate.
Coglievano la malva presso agli arboscelli, E le radici de' ginepri, per iscaldarsi.
5 They were chased forth from among men: they shouted at them, as at a theefe.
Erano scacciati d'infra [la gente]; Ei si gridava dietro a loro, come [dietro ad] un ladro.
6 Therfore they dwelt in the clefts of riuers, in the holes of the earth and rockes.
Dimoravano ne' dirupi delle valli, Nelle grotte della terra e delle rocce.
7 They roared among the bushes, and vnder the thistles they gathered themselues.
Ruggivano fra gli arboscelli; Si adunavano sotto a' cardi.
8 They were the children of fooles and the children of villaines, which were more vile then the earth.
[Erano] gente da nulla, senza nome, Scacciata dal paese.
9 And now am I their song, and I am their talke.
Ed ora io son la lor canzone, E il soggetto de' lor ragionamenti.
10 They abhorre me, and flee farre from mee, and spare not to spit in my face.
Essi mi abbominano, si allontanano da me, E non si rattengono di sputarmi nel viso.
11 Because that God hath loosed my corde and humbled mee, they haue loosed the bridle before me.
Perciocchè [Iddio] ha sciolto il mio legame, e mi ha afflitto; Laonde essi hanno scosso il freno, [per non] riverir [più] la mia faccia.
12 The youth rise vp at my right hand: they haue pusht my feete, and haue trode on me as on the paths of their destruction.
I giovanetti si levano contro a me dalla [man] destra, mi spingono i piedi, E si appianano le vie contro a me, per [traboccarmi] in ruina;
13 They haue destroyed my paths: they tooke pleasure at my calamitie, they had none helpe.
Hanno tagliato il mio cammino, si avanzano alla mia perdizione, Niuno li aiuta;
14 They came as a great breach of waters, and vnder this calamitie they come on heapes.
Sono entrati come per una larga rottura, Si sono rotolati sotto le ruine.
15 Feare is turned vpon mee: and they pursue my soule as the winde, and mine health passeth away as a cloude.
Spaventi si son volti contro a me, Perseguitano l'anima mia come il vento; E la mia salvezza è passata via come una nuvola.
16 Therefore my soule is nowe powred out vpon me, and the dayes of affliction haue taken holde on me.
Ed ora l'anima mia si versa sopra me, I giorni dell'afflizione mi hanno aggiunto.
17 It pearceth my bones in the night, and my sinewes take no rest.
Di notte egli mi trafigge l'ossa addosso; E le mie arterie non hanno alcuna posa.
18 For the great vehemencie is my garment changed, which compasseth me about as the colar of my coate.
La mia vesta è tutta cangiata, per la quantità della marcia [delle piaghe], E mi stringe come la scollatura del mio saio.
19 He hath cast me into the myre, and I am become like ashes and dust.
Egli mi ha gittato nel fango, E paio polvere e cenere.
20 Whe I cry vnto thee, thou doest not heare me, neither regardest me, when I stand vp.
Io grido a te, e tu non mi rispondi; Io mi presento [davanti a te], e tu non poni mente a me.
21 Thou turnest thy selfe cruelly against me, and art enemie vnto mee with the strength of thine hand.
Tu ti sei mutato in crudele inverso me; Tu mi contrasti con la forza delle tue mani.
22 Thou takest me vp and causest mee to ride vpon the winde, and makest my strength to faile.
Tu mi hai levato ad alto; tu mi fai cavalcar sopra il vento, E fai struggere in me ogni virtù.
23 Surely I knowe that thou wilt bring mee to death, and to the house appoynted for all the liuing.
Io so certamente che tu mi ridurrai alla morte, Ed alla casa assegnata ad ogni vivente.
24 Doubtles none can stretch his hand vnto the graue, though they cry in his destruction.
Pur non istenderà egli la mano nell'avello; [Quelli che vi son dentro] gridano essi, quando egli distrugge?
25 Did not I weepe with him that was in trouble? was not my soule in heauinesse for the poore?
Non piangeva io per cagion di colui che menava dura vita? L'anima mia non si addolorava ella per i bisognosi?
26 Yet when I looked for good, euill came vnto me: and when I waited for light, there came darkenesse.
Perchè, avendo io sperato il bene, il mal sia venuto? Ed avendo aspettata la luce, sia giunta la caligine?
27 My bowels did boyle without rest: for the dayes of affliction are come vpon me.
Le mie interiora bollono, e non hanno alcuna posa; I giorni dell'afflizione mi hanno incontrato.
28 I went mourning without sunne: I stood vp in the congregation and cryed.
Io vo bruno attorno, non già del sole; Io mi levo in pien popolo, [e] grido.
29 I am a brother to the dragons, and a companion to the ostriches.
Io son diventato fratello degli sciacalli, E compagno delle ulule.
30 My skinne is blacke vpon me, and my bones are burnt with heate.
La mia pelle mi si è imbrunita addosso, E le mie ossa son calcinate d'arsura.
31 Therefore mine harpe is turned to mourning, and mine organs into the voyce of them that weepe.
E la mia cetera si è mutata in duolo, E il mio organo in voce di pianto.
