Job 26
1 Bvt Iob answered, and sayde,
A odpovídaje Job, řekl:
2 Whom helpest thou? him that hath no power? sauest thou the arme that hath no strength?
Komu jsi napomohl? Tomu-li, kterýž nemá síly? Toho-lis retoval, kterýž jest bez moci?
3 Whome counsellest thou? him that hath no wisedome? thou shewest right well as the thing is.
Komu jsi rady udělil? Nemoudrému-li? Hned jsi základu dostatečně poučil?
4 To whom doest thou declare these words? or whose spirit commeth out of thee?
Komužs ty řeči zvěstoval? A čí duch vyšel z tebe?
5 The dead things are formed vnder the waters, and neere vnto them.
Však i mrtvé věci pod vodami a obyvateli jejich sformovány bývají.
Odkryta jest propast před ním, i zahynutí není zakryto. (Sheol h7585)
7 He stretcheth out the North ouer the emptie place, and hangeth the earth vpon nothing.
Ontě roztáhl půlnoční stranu nad prázdnem, zavěsil zemi na ničemž.
8 He bindeth the waters in his cloudes, and the cloude is not broken vnder them.
Zavazuje vody v oblacích svých, aniž se trhá oblak pod nimi.
9 He holdeth backe the face of his throne: and spreadeth his cloude vpon it.
On sám zdržuje stále trůn svůj, a roztahuje na něm oblaky své.
10 He hath set bounds about the waters, vntil the day and night come to an ende.
Cíl vyměřil rozlévání se vodám, až do skonání světla a tmy.
11 The pillars of heauen tremble and quake at his reproofe.
Sloupové nebeští třesou se a pohybují od žehrání jeho.
12 The sea is calme by his power, and by his vnderstanding he smiteth the pride thereof.
Mocí svou rozdělil moře, a rozumností svou dutí jeho.
13 His Spirite hath garnished the heauens, and his hand hath formed the crooked serpent.
Duchem svým nebesa ozdobil, a ruka jeho sformovala hada dlouhého.
14 Loe, these are part of his wayes: but how litle a portion heare we of him? and who can vnderstand his fearefull power?
Aj, toť jsou jen částky cest jeho, a jak nestižitelné jest i to maličko, což jsme slyšeli o něm. Hřímání pak moci jeho kdo srozumí?
