Job 26
1 Bvt Iob answered, and sayde,
Job progovori i reče:
2 Whom helpest thou? him that hath no power? sauest thou the arme that hath no strength?
“Kako dobro znadeš pomoći nemoćnom i mišicu iznemoglu poduprijeti!
3 Whome counsellest thou? him that hath no wisedome? thou shewest right well as the thing is.
Kako dobar savjet daješ neukome; baš si preveliku mudrost pokazao.
4 To whom doest thou declare these words? or whose spirit commeth out of thee?
Kome li si ove uputio riječi i koji duh je iz tebe govorio?”
5 The dead things are formed vnder the waters, and neere vnto them.
Pred Bogom mrtvi pod zemljom dolje strepe, vode morske dršću i nemani njine.
Pred njegovim okom otkriven zja Šeol i bezdan smrti nema vela na sebi. (Sheol h7585)
7 He stretcheth out the North ouer the emptie place, and hangeth the earth vpon nothing.
On povrh praznine Sjever razapinje, on drži zemlju o ništa obješenu.
8 He bindeth the waters in his cloudes, and the cloude is not broken vnder them.
On zatvara vodu u svoje oblake, a oblaci se pod njome ne prodiru.
9 He holdeth backe the face of his throne: and spreadeth his cloude vpon it.
On zastire puno lice mjesečevo razastirući svoj oblak preko njega.
10 He hath set bounds about the waters, vntil the day and night come to an ende.
On je na vodi označio kružnicu gdje prestaje svjetlost i tmine počinju.
11 The pillars of heauen tremble and quake at his reproofe.
Svodu se nebeskom potresu stupovi i premru od straha kada on zaprijeti.
12 The sea is calme by his power, and by his vnderstanding he smiteth the pride thereof.
Svojom je snagom on ukrotio more i neman Rahaba smrvio mudrošću.
13 His Spirite hath garnished the heauens, and his hand hath formed the crooked serpent.
Nebesa je svojim razbistrio dahom, a ruka mu je brzu zmiju probola.
14 Loe, these are part of his wayes: but how litle a portion heare we of him? and who can vnderstand his fearefull power?
Sve to samo djelić je djela njegovih, od kojih tek slabu jeku mi čujemo. Ali tko će shvatit' grom njegove moći?”
