Job 25

1 Then answered Bildad the Shuhite, and sayd,

Felelt a Súachbeli Bildád és mondta:

2 Power and feare is with him, that maketh peace in his hie places.

Uralom és rettegés van nála; békét szerez magasságaiban.

3 Is there any nomber in his armies? and vpon whom shall not his light arise?

Van-e száma csapatainak, s ki fölött nem támad az ő fényessége?

4 And howe may a man be iustified with God? or how can he be cleane, that is borne of woman?

Miképpen is lehet igaz Istennel szemben a halandó, s hogy lehet tiszta asszony szülöttje?

5 Behold, he wil giue no light to the moone, and the starres are vncleane in his sight.

Lám, még a hold sem ragyog, s a csillagok nem tiszták a szemeiben:

6 How much more man, a worme, euen the sonne of man, which is but a worme?

hát még a halandó, a féreg s az ember fia, a kukacz.
