Job 23
1 Bvt Iob answered and sayd,
Y Job respondió y dijo:
2 Though my talke be this day in bitternes, and my plague greater then my groning,
Incluso hoy mi clamor es amargo; Su mano es pesada a pesar de mi gemido.
3 Would God yet I knew how to finde him, I would enter vnto his place.
¡Ojalá tuviera conocimiento de dónde podría ser visto, para que pudiera llegar incluso a su asiento!
4 I would pleade the cause before him, and fill my mouth with arguments.
Pondría mi causa en orden delante de él, y mi boca estaría llena de argumentos.
5 I would knowe the wordes, that he would answere me, and would vnderstand what he would say vnto me.
Vería cuáles serían sus respuestas y sabría lo que me diría.
6 Would he plead against me with his great power? No, but he would put strength in me.
¿Usaría su gran poder para vencerme? No, pero él me prestaría atención.
7 There the righteous might reason with him, so I shoulde be deliuered for euer from my Iudge.
Allí un hombre recto podría poner su causa delante de él; y estaría libre para siempre de mi juez.
8 Behold, if I go to the East, he is not there: if to the West, yet I can not perceiue him:
Mira, voy hacia delante, pero él no está allí; y de vuelta, pero no lo entiendo;
9 If to the North where he worketh, yet I cannot see him: he wil hide himselfe in the South, and I cannot beholde him.
Lo estoy buscando en la mano izquierda, pero no hay rastro de él; y girando a la derecha, no puedo verlo.
10 But he knoweth my way, and trieth mee, and I shall come forth like the gold.
Porque él sabe él camino donde voy; Después de que me haya probado, saldré como oro.
11 My foote hath followed his steps: his way haue I kept, and haue not declined.
Mis pies han ido en sus pasos; Me he mantenido en su camino, sin girarme a un lado ni al otro.
12 Neyther haue I departed from the commandement of his lippes, and I haue esteemed the words of his mouth more then mine appointed foode.
Nunca he ido en contra de las órdenes de sus labios; Las palabras de su boca han sido almacenadas en mi corazón.
13 Yet he is in one minde, and who can turne him? yea, he doeth what his minde desireth.
Pero su propósito es fijo y no hay cambio en él; y da efecto al deseo de su alma.
14 For he will performe that, which is decreed of me, and many such things are with him.
Porque lo que me fue ordenado por él será hecho hasta el final, y su mente está llena de tales cosas.
15 Therefore I am troubled at his presence, and in considering it, I am afraid of him.
Por esta causa tengo miedo delante de él, mis pensamientos sobre él me superan.
16 For God hath softened mine heart, and the Almightie hath troubled me.
Porque Dios ha debilitado mi corazón, y mi mente está turbada ante él Dios Todopoderoso.
17 For I am not cut off in darknesse, but he hath hid the darkenesse from my face.
Porque no fui destruido por las tinieblas, ni la oscuridad cubrió mi rostro.
