Job 22
1 Then Eliphaz the Temanite answered, and sayde,
| پس الیفاز تیمانی در جواب گفت: | ۱ |
2 May a man be profitable vnto God, as he that is wise, may be profitable to himselfe?
| «آیا مرد به خدا فایده برساند؟ البته مرد دانا برای خویشتن مفید است. | ۲ |
3 Is it any thing vnto the Almightie, that thou art righteous? or is it profitable to him, that thou makest thy wayes vpright?
| آیا اگر توعادل باشی، برای قادر مطلق خوشی رخ می‌نماید؟ یا اگر طریق خود را راست سازی، او رافایده می‌شود؟ | ۳ |
4 Is it for feare of thee that he will accuse thee? or go with thee into iudgement?
| آیا به‌سبب ترس تو، تو را توبیخ می‌نماید؟ یا با تو به محاکمه داخل خواهد شد؟ | ۴ |
5 Is not thy wickednes great, and thine iniquities innumerable?
| آیا شرارت تو عظیم نیست و عصیان تو بی‌انتهانی، | ۵ |
6 For thou hast taken the pledge from thy brother for nought, and spoyled the clothes of the naked.
| چونکه از برادران خود بی‌سبب گرو گرفتی و لباس برهنگان را کندی، | ۶ |
7 To such as were wearie, thou hast not giuen water to drinke, and hast withdrawen bread from the hungrie.
| به تشنگان آب ننوشانیدی، و از گرسنگان نان دریغ داشتی؟ | ۷ |
8 But the mightie man had the earth, and he that was in autoritie, dwelt in it.
| امامرد جبار، زمین از آن او می‌باشد و مرد عالیجاه، در آن ساکن می‌شود. | ۸ |
9 Thou hast cast out widowes emptie, and the armes of the fatherles were broken.
| بیوه‌زنان را تهی‌دست رد نمودی، و بازوهای یتیمان شکسته گردید. | ۹ |
10 Therefore snares are round about thee, and feare shall suddenly trouble thee:
| بنابراین دامها تو را احاطه می‌نماید و ترس، ناگهان تو را مضطرب می‌سازد. | ۱۰ |
11 Or darkenes that thou shouldest not see, and abundance of waters shall couer thee.
| یا تاریکی که آن را نمی بینی و سیلابها تو را می‌پوشاند. | ۱۱ |
12 Is not God on hie in the heauen? and behold the height of the starres how hie they are.
| آیاخدا مثل آسمانها بلند نیست؟ و سر ستارگان رابنگر چگونه عالی هستند. | ۱۲ |
13 But thou sayest, How should God know? can he iudge through the darke cloude?
| و تو می‌گویی خداچه می‌داند و آیا از تاریکی غلیظ داوری تواندنمود؟ | ۱۳ |
14 The cloudes hide him that he can not see, and he walketh in the circle of heauen.
| ابرها ستر اوست پس نمی بیند، و بردایره افلاک می‌خرامد. | ۱۴ |
15 Hast thou marked the way of the worlde, wherein wicked men haue walked?
| آیا طریق قدما را نشان کردی که مردمان شریر در آن سلوک نمودند، | ۱۵ |
16 Which were cut downe before the time, whose foundation was as a riuer that ouerflowed:
| که قبل از زمان خود ربوده شدند، و اساس آنهامثل نهر ریخته شد | ۱۶ |
17 Which sayd vnto God, Depart from vs, and asked what the Almightie could do for them.
| که به خدا گفتند: از ما دورشو و قادر مطلق برای ما چه تواند کرد؟ | ۱۷ |
18 Yet hee filled their houses with good things: but let the counsell of the wicked be farre from me.
| و حال آنگاه او خانه های ایشان را از چیزهای نیکو پرساخت. پس مشورت شریران از من دور شود. | ۱۸ |
19 The righteous shall see them, and shall reioyce, and the innocent shall laugh them to scorne.
| «عادلان چون آن را بینند، شادی خواهندنمود و بی‌گناهان بر ایشان استهزا خواهند کرد. | ۱۹ |
20 Surely our substance is hid: but the fire hath deuoured the remnant of them.
| آیا مقاومت کنندگان ما منقطع نشدند؟ و آتش بقیه ایشان را نسوزانید؟ | ۲۰ |
21 Therefore acquaint thy selfe, I pray thee, with him, and make peace: thereby thou shalt haue prosperitie.
| پس حال با او انس بگیر و سالم باش. و به این منوال نیکویی به توخواهد رسید. | ۲۱ |
22 Receiue, I pray thee, the law of his mouth, and lay vp his words in thine heart.
| تعلیم را از دهانش قبول نما، وکلمات او را در دل خود بنه. | ۲۲ |
23 If thou returne to the Almightie, thou shalt be buylt vp, and thou shalt put iniquitie farre from thy tabernacle.
| اگر به قادرمطلق بازگشت نمایی، بنا خواهی شد. و اگر شرارت رااز خیمه خود دور نمایی | ۲۳ |
24 Thou shalt lay vp golde for dust, and the gold of Ophir, as the flintes of the riuers.
| و اگر گنج خود را درخاک و طلای اوفیر را در سنگهای نهرهابگذاری، | ۲۴ |
25 Yea, the Almightie shalbe thy defence, and thou shalt haue plentie of siluer.
| آنگاه قادر مطلق گنج تو و نقره خالص برای تو خواهد بود، | ۲۵ |
26 And thou shalt then delite in the Almightie, and lift vp thy face vnto God.
| زیرا در آنوقت ازقادر مطلق تلذذ خواهی یافت، و روی خود را به طرف خدا برخواهی افراشت. | ۲۶ |
27 Thou shalt make thy praier vnto him, and he shall heare thee, and thou shalt render thy vowes.
| نزد او دعاخواهی کرد و او تو را اجابت خواهد نمود، و نذرهای خود را ادا خواهی ساخت. | ۲۷ |
28 Thou shalt also decree a thing, and he shall establish it vnto thee, and the light shall shine vpon thy wayes.
| امری راجزم خواهی نمود و برایت برقرار خواهد شد، وروشنایی بر راههایت خواهد تابید. | ۲۸ |
29 When others are cast downe, then shalt thou say, I am lifted vp: and God shall saue the humble person.
| وقتی که ذلیل شوند، خواهی گفت: رفعت باشد، و فروتنان را نجات خواهد داد. | ۲۹ |
30 The innocent shall deliuer the yland, and it shalbe preserued by the purenes of thine hands.
| کسی را که بی‌گناه نباشدخواهد رهانید، و به پاکی دستهای تو رهانیده خواهد شد.» | ۳۰ |
