Job 21
1 Bvt Iob answered, and sayd,
१तब अय्यूब ने कहा,
2 Heare diligently my wordes, and this shalbe in stead of your consolations.
२“चित्त लगाकर मेरी बात सुनो; और तुम्हारी शान्ति यही ठहरे।
3 Suffer mee, that I may speake, and when I haue spoken, mocke on.
३मेरी कुछ तो सहो, कि मैं भी बातें करूँ; और जब मैं बातें कर चुकूँ, तब पीछे ठट्ठा करना।
4 Doe I direct my talke to man? If it were so, how should not my spirit be troubled?
४क्या मैं किसी मनुष्य की दुहाई देता हूँ? फिर मैं अधीर क्यों न होऊँ?
5 Marke mee, and be abashed, and lay your hand vpon your mouth.
५मेरी ओर चित्त लगाकर चकित हो, और अपनी-अपनी उँगली दाँत तले दबाओ।
6 Euen when I remember, I am afrayde, and feare taketh hold on my flesh.
६जब मैं कष्टों को स्मरण करता तब मैं घबरा जाता हूँ, और मेरी देह काँपने लगती है।
7 Wherefore do the wicked liue, and waxe olde, and grow in wealth?
७क्या कारण है कि दुष्ट लोग जीवित रहते हैं, वरन् बूढ़े भी हो जाते, और उनका धन बढ़ता जाता है?
8 Their seede is established in their sight with them, and their generation before their eyes.
८उनकी सन्तान उनके संग, और उनके बाल-बच्चे उनकी आँखों के सामने बने रहते हैं।
9 Their houses are peaceable without feare, and the rod of God is not vpon them.
९उनके घर में भयरहित कुशल रहता है, और परमेश्वर की छड़ी उन पर नहीं पड़ती।
10 Their bullocke gendreth, and fayleth not: their cow calueth, and casteth not her calfe.
१०उनका साँड़ गाभिन करता और चूकता नहीं, उनकी गायें बियाती हैं और बच्चा कभी नहीं गिराती।
11 They send forth their children like sheepe, and their sonnes dance.
११वे अपने लड़कों को झुण्ड के झुण्ड बाहर जाने देते हैं, और उनके बच्चे नाचते हैं।
12 They take the tabret and harpe, and reioyce in the sound of the organs.
१२वे डफ और वीणा बजाते हुए गाते, और बांसुरी के शब्द से आनन्दित होते हैं।
१३वे अपने दिन सुख से बिताते, और पल भर ही में अधोलोक में उतर जाते हैं। (Sheol h7585)
14 They say also vnto God, Depart from vs: for we desire not the knowledge of thy wayes.
१४तो भी वे परमेश्वर से कहते थे, ‘हम से दूर हो! तेरी गति जानने की हमको इच्छा नहीं है।
15 Who is the Almightie, that we should serue him? and what profit should we haue, if we should pray vnto him?
१५सर्वशक्तिमान क्या है, कि हम उसकी सेवा करें? और यदि हम उससे विनती भी करें तो हमें क्या लाभ होगा?’
16 Lo, their wealth is not in their hand: therfore let the counsell of the wicked bee farre from me.
१६देखो, उनका कुशल उनके हाथ में नहीं रहता, दुष्ट लोगों का विचार मुझसे दूर रहे।
17 How oft shall the candle of the wicked be put out? and their destruction come vpon them? he wil deuide their liues in his wrath.
१७“कितनी बार ऐसे होता है कि दुष्टों का दीपक बुझ जाता है, या उन पर विपत्ति आ पड़ती है; और परमेश्वर क्रोध करके उनके हिस्से में शोक देता है,
18 They shall be as stubble before the winde, and as chaffe that the storme carieth away.
१८वे वायु से उड़ाए हुए भूसे की, और बवण्डर से उड़ाई हुई भूसी के समान होते हैं।
19 God wil lay vp the sorowe of the father for his children: when he rewardeth him, hee shall knowe it.
१९तुम कहते हो ‘परमेश्वर उसके अधर्म का दण्ड उसके बच्चों के लिये रख छोड़ता है,’ वह उसका बदला उसी को दे, ताकि वह जान ले।
20 His eyes shall see his destruction, and he shall drinke of the wrath of the Almightie.
२०दुष्ट अपना नाश अपनी ही आँखों से देखे, और सर्वशक्तिमान की जलजलाहट में से आप पी ले।
21 For what pleasure hath he in his house after him, when the nomber of his moneths is cut off?
२१क्योंकि जब उसके महीनों की गिनती कट चुकी, तो अपने बादवाले घराने से उसका क्या काम रहा।
22 Shall any teache God knowledge, who iudgeth the highest things?
२२क्या परमेश्वर को कोई ज्ञान सिखाएगा? वह तो ऊँचे पद पर रहनेवालों का भी न्याय करता है।
23 One dyeth in his full strength, being in all ease and prosperitie.
२३कोई तो अपने पूरे बल में बड़े चैन और सुख से रहता हुआ मर जाता है।
24 His breasts are full of milke, and his bones runne full of marowe.
२४उसकी देह दूध से और उसकी हड्डियाँ गूदे से भरी रहती हैं।
25 And another dieth in the bitternes of his soule, and neuer eateth with pleasure.
२५और कोई अपने जीव में कुढ़कुढ़कर बिना सुख भोगे मर जाता है।
26 They shall sleepe both in the dust, and the wormes shall couer them.
२६वे दोनों बराबर मिट्टी में मिल जाते हैं, और कीड़े उन्हें ढांक लेते हैं।
27 Behold, I know your thoughts, and the enterprises, wherewith ye do me wrong.
२७“देखो, मैं तुम्हारी कल्पनाएँ जानता हूँ, और उन युक्तियों को भी, जो तुम मेरे विषय में अन्याय से करते हो।
28 For ye say, Where is the princes house? and where is the tabernacle of the wickeds dwelling?
२८तुम कहते तो हो, ‘रईस का घर कहाँ रहा? दुष्टों के निवास के तम्बू कहाँ रहे?’
29 May ye not aske the that go by the way? and ye can not deny their signes.
२९परन्तु क्या तुम ने बटोहियों से कभी नहीं पूछा? क्या तुम उनके इस विषय के प्रमाणों से अनजान हो,
30 But the wicked is kept vnto the day of destruction, and they shall be brought forth to the day of wrath.
३०कि विपत्ति के दिन के लिये दुर्जन सुरक्षित रखा जाता है; और महाप्रलय के समय के लिये ऐसे लोग बचाए जाते हैं?
31 Who shall declare his way to his face? and who shall reward him for that he hath done?
३१उसकी चाल उसके मुँह पर कौन कहेगा? और उसने जो किया है, उसका पलटा कौन देगा?
32 Yet shall he be brought to the graue, and remaine in the heape.
३२तो भी वह कब्र को पहुँचाया जाता है, और लोग उस कब्र की रखवाली करते रहते हैं।
33 The slimie valley shalbe sweete vnto him, and euery man shall draw after him, as before him there were innumerable.
३३नाले के ढेले उसको सुखदायक लगते हैं; और जैसे पूर्वकाल के लोग अनगिनत जा चुके, वैसे ही सब मनुष्य उसके बाद भी चले जाएँगे।
34 How then comfort ye me in vaine, seeing in your answeres there remaine but lyes?
३४तुम्हारे उत्तरों में तो झूठ ही पाया जाता है, इसलिए तुम क्यों मुझे व्यर्थ शान्ति देते हो?”
