Job 18
1 Then answered Bildad the Shuhite, and said,
੧ਤਦ ਬਿਲਦਦ ਸ਼ੂਹੀ ਨੇ ਉੱਤਰ ਦੇ ਕੇ ਆਖਿਆ,
2 When will yee make an ende of your words? cause vs to vnderstande, and then wee will speake.
੨“ਤੁਸੀਂ ਕਦੋਂ ਤੱਕ ਗੱਲਾਂ ਲਈ ਫੰਦੇ ਲਾਓਗੇ? ਸਮਝਦਾਰ ਬਣੋ, ਫੇਰ ਆਪਾਂ ਗੱਲ ਕਰਾਂਗੇ।
3 Wherefore are wee counted as beastes, and are vile in your sight?
੩ਅਸੀਂ ਕਿਉਂ ਤੁਹਾਡੀ ਨਿਗਾਹ ਵਿੱਚ ਪਸ਼ੂਆਂ ਜਿਹੇ ਗਿਣੇ ਜਾਂਦੇ ਹਾਂ ਅਤੇ ਭਰਿਸ਼ਟ ਠਹਿਰੇ ਹਾਂ?
4 Thou art as one that teareth his soule in his anger. Shall the earth bee forsaken for thy sake? or the rocke remoued out of his place?
੪ਤੂੰ ਜੇ ਆਪਣੇ ਆਪ ਨੂੰ ਆਪਣੇ ਕ੍ਰੋਧ ਵਿੱਚ ਪਾੜਦਾ ਹੈਂ, ਕੀ ਤੇਰੇ ਲਈ ਧਰਤੀ ਤਿਆਗੀ ਜਾਵੇਗੀ, ਜਾਂ ਚੱਟਾਨ ਆਪਣੇ ਥਾਂ ਤੋਂ ਖਿਸਕ ਜਾਵੇਗੀ?
5 Yea, the light of the wicked shalbe quenched, and the sparke of his fire shall not shine.
੫“ਹਾਂ, ਦੁਸ਼ਟਾਂ ਦਾ ਦੀਵਾ ਬੁੱਝ ਜਾਵੇਗਾ ਅਤੇ ਉਸ ਦੀ ਅੱਗ ਦੀ ਲਾਟ ਨਾ ਚਮਕੇਗੀ,
6 The light shalbe darke in his dwelling, and his candle shalbe put out with him.
੬ਉਹ ਦੇ ਤੰਬੂ ਵਿੱਚ ਚਾਨਣ ਹਨ੍ਹੇਰਾ ਹੋ ਜਾਵੇਗਾ, ਅਤੇ ਉਹ ਦੇ ਉੱਪਰ ਦਾ ਦੀਵਾ ਬੁੱਝ ਜਾਵੇਗਾ।
7 The steps of his strength shalbe restrained, and his owne counsell shall cast him downe.
੭ਉਹ ਦੇ ਬਲਵੰਤ ਕਦਮ ਰੋਕੇ ਜਾਣਗੇ, ਅਤੇ ਉਹ ਆਪਣੀ ਹੀ ਸਲਾਹ ਨਾਲ ਡਿੱਗ ਪਵੇਗਾ।
8 For hee is taken in the net by his feete, and he walketh vpon the snares.
੮ਉਹ ਤਾਂ ਆਪਣੇ ਹੀ ਪੈਰ ਜਾਲ਼ ਵਿੱਚ ਫਸਾਵੇਗਾ, ਅਤੇ ਉਹ ਆਪ ਫੰਦੇ ਉੱਤੇ ਚੱਲਦਾ ਹੈ।
9 The grenne shall take him by the heele, and the theefe shall come vpon him.
੯ਕੜਿੱਕੀ ਉਹ ਦੀ ਅੱਡੀ ਨੂੰ ਫੜ੍ਹਦੀ, ਅਤੇ ਲੁਟੇਰੇ ਉਹ ਨੂੰ ਫ਼ਸਾ ਲੈਂਦੇ ਹਨ ।
10 A snare is layed for him in the ground, and a trappe for him in the way.
੧੦ਫੰਦਾ ਉਹ ਦੇ ਲਈ ਧਰਤੀ ਵਿੱਚ ਲੁਕਾਇਆ ਜਾਂਦਾ ਹੈ, ਅਤੇ ਉਹ ਦੇ ਰਸਤੇ ਵਿੱਚ ਜਾਲ਼।
11 Fearefulnesse shall make him afrayde on euery side, and shall driue him to his feete.
੧੧ਖੌਫ਼ ਆਲੇ ਦੁਆਲਿਓਂ ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਡਰਾਉਂਦਾ ਹੈ, ਅਤੇ ਉਸ ਦੇ ਪਿੱਛੇ ਪੈ ਕੇ ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਭਜਾਉਂਦਾ ਹੈ!
12 His strength shalbe famine: and destruction shalbe readie at his side.
੧੨ਆਫ਼ਤ ਉਸ ਉੱਤੇ ਪੈਣ ਲਈ ਉਡੀਕਦੀ ਹੈ, ਅਤੇ ਬਿਪਤਾ ਉਹ ਦੇ ਕੋਲ ਹੀ ਤਿਆਰ ਹੋਵੇਗੀ।
13 It shall deuoure the inner partes of his skinne, and the first borne of death shall deuoure his strength.
੧੩ਉਹ ਉਸ ਦੇ ਸਰੀਰ ਦੇ ਅੰਗ ਨੂੰ ਖਾ ਜਾਵੇਗੀ, ਮੌਤ ਦਾ ਪਹਿਲੌਠਾ ਉਸ ਦੇ ਅੰਗਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਨਿਗਲ ਲਵੇਗਾ।
14 His hope shalbe rooted out of his dwelling, and shall cause him to go to the King of feare.
੧੪ਆਪਣੇ ਜਿਸ ਤੰਬੂ ਉੱਤੇ ਉਹ ਭਰੋਸਾ ਰੱਖਦਾ ਸੀ, ਉਹ ਪੁੱਟਿਆ ਜਾਵੇਗਾ, ਅਤੇ ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਖੌਫ਼ਨਾਕ ਰਾਜੇ ਕੋਲ ਪਹੁੰਚਾਇਆ ਜਾਵੇਗਾ!
15 Feare shall dwell in his house (because it is not his) and brimstone shalbe scattered vpon his habitation.
੧੫ਜਿਹੜਾ ਉਹ ਦਾ ਨਹੀਂ ਉਹ ਉਸ ਦੇ ਤੰਬੂ ਵਿੱਚ ਵੱਸੇਗਾ, ਅਤੇ ਉਹ ਦੇ ਵਸੇਬੇ ਉੱਤੇ ਗੰਧਕ ਸੁੱਟੀ ਜਾਵੇਗੀ।
16 His rootes shalbe dryed vp beneath, and aboue shall his branche be cut downe.
੧੬ਹੇਠੋਂ ਉਹ ਦੀਆਂ ਜੜ੍ਹਾਂ ਸੁੱਕ ਜਾਣਗੀਆਂ, ਉੱਪਰੋਂ ਉਹ ਦੀਆਂ ਟਹਿਣੀਆਂ ਕੁਮਲਾ ਜਾਣਗੀਆਂ
17 His remembrance shall perish from the earth, and he shall haue no name in the streete.
੧੭ਉਹ ਦੀ ਯਾਦ ਧਰਤੀ ਉੱਤੋਂ ਮਿਟ ਜਾਵੇਗੀ, ਅਤੇ ਉਹ ਦਾ ਨਾਮ ਦੇਸ ਵਿੱਚ ਨਾ ਰਹੇਗਾ।
18 They shall driue him out of the light vnto darkenesse, and chase him out of the world.
੧੮ਉਹ ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਚਾਨਣ ਤੋਂ ਹਨੇਰੇ ਵਿੱਚ ਹੱਕ ਦੇਣਗੇ, ਅਤੇ ਸੰਸਾਰ ਤੋਂ ਖਦੇੜ ਦੇਣਗੇ।
19 Hee shall neither haue sonne nor nephewe among his people, nor any posteritie in his dwellings.
੧੯ਅਤੇ ਉਹ ਦੇ ਲੋਕਾਂ ਵਿੱਚ ਨਾ ਉਹ ਦਾ ਪੁੱਤਰ, ਨਾ ਪੋਤਾ ਹੋਵੇਗਾ, ਨਾ ਉਹ ਦੇ ਟਿਕਾਣਿਆਂ ਵਿੱਚ ਕੋਈ ਬਾਕੀ ਰਹੇਗਾ।
20 The posteritie shalbe astonied at his day, and feare shall come vpon the ancient.
੨੦ਪੱਛਮ ਦੇ ਲੋਕ ਉਹ ਦੇ ਦਿਨ ਉੱਤੇ ਹੈਰਾਨ ਹੋਣਗੇ ਅਤੇ ਪੂਰਬ ਦੇ ਵਾਸੀ ਸਹਿਮ ਜਾਣਗੇ।
21 Surely such are the habitations of the wicked, and this is the place of him that knoweth not God.
੨੧ਨਿਸੰਗ ਕੁਧਰਮੀਆਂ ਦੇ ਵਸੇਬੇ ਇਹੋ ਜਿਹੇ ਹੋ ਜਾਂਦੇ ਹਨ, ਜੋ ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ ਨੂੰ ਨਹੀਂ ਜਾਣਦਾ ਉਸ ਦਾ ਸਥਾਨ ਅਜਿਹਾ ਹੀ ਹੋ ਜਾਂਦਾ ਹੈ।”
