Job 13
1 Loe, mine eye hath seene all this: mine eare hath heard, and vnderstande it.
“আমি নিজের চোখে এসব কিছু দেখেছি, আমি তা নিজের কানে শুনেছি ও বুঝেছি।
2 I knowe also as much as you knowe: I am not inferiour vnto you.
তোমরা যা জানো, আমিও তা জানি, আমি তোমাদের চেয়ে নিকৃষ্ট নই।
3 But I will speake to the Almightie, and I desire to dispute with God.
কিন্তু আমি সর্বশক্তিমানের সঙ্গে কথা বলতে চাই ও ঈশ্বরের কাছে আমার মামলার স্বপক্ষে যুক্তি দেখাতে চাই।
4 For in deede ye forge lyes, and all you are physitions of no value.
তোমরা, অবশ্য, আমার গায়ে মিথ্যা লেপন করেছ; তোমরা, তোমরা সবাই অপদার্থ চিকিৎসক।
5 Oh, that you woulde holde your tongue, that it might be imputed to you for wisedome!
তোমরা যদি শুধু পুরোপুরি নীরব থাকতে! তোমাদের পক্ষে, তবে তা প্রজ্ঞা হত।
6 Nowe heare my disputation, and giue eare to the arguments of my lips.
এখন আমার যুক্তি শোনো; আমার ঠোঁটের আবেদনে কর্ণপাত করো।
7 Will ye speake wickedly for Gods defence, and talke deceitfully for his cause?
ঈশ্বরের হয়ে কি তোমরা গর্হিত কথাবার্তা বলবে? তাঁর হয়ে কি তোমরা প্রতারণামূলক কথাবার্তা বলবে?
8 Will ye accept his person? or will ye contende for God?
তোমরা কি তাঁর প্রতি পক্ষপাতিত্ব দেখাবে? তোমরা কি ঈশ্বরের হয়ে মামলা লড়বে?
9 Is it well that he shoulde seeke of you? will you make a lye for him, as one lyeth for a man?
তিনি যদি তোমাদের পরীক্ষা করেন, তবে কি ভালো কিছু হবে? নশ্বর এক মানুষকে যেভাবে তোমরা প্রতারিত করো সেভাবে কি তাঁকেও প্রতারিত করতে পারবে?
10 He will surely reprooue you, if ye doe secretly accept any person.
তিনি নিশ্চয় তোমাদের ভর্ৎসনা করবেন যদি তোমরা গোপনে পক্ষপাতিত্ব দেখিয়েছিলে।
11 Shall not his excellencie make you afraid? and his feare fall vpon you?
তাঁর প্রভা কি তোমাদের আতঙ্কিত করবে না? তাঁর শঙ্কা কি তোমাদের উপরে নেমে আসবে না?
12 Your memories may be compared vnto ashes, and your bodyes to bodyes of clay.
তোমাদের প্রবচন ভস্মের প্রবাদ; তোমাদের দুর্গ মাটির কেল্লা।
13 Holde your tongues in my presence, that I may speake, and let come vpon what will.
“নীরব হও ও আমাকে কথা বলতে দাও; পরে যা হওয়ার হবে।
14 Wherefore doe I take my flesh in my teeth, and put my soule in mine hande?
আমি কেন নিজের জীবন বিপন্ন করব ও আমার প্রাণ হাতে তুলে নেব?
15 Loe, though he slay me, yet will I trust in him, and I will reprooue my wayes in his sight.
তিনি যদি আমাকে হত্যা করেন, তবুও আমি তাঁর উপরে আশা রাখব; আমি নিশ্চয় তাঁর মুখোমুখি দাঁড়িয়ে আমার মামলাটি লড়ব।
16 He shalbe my saluation also: for the hypocrite shall not come before him.
সত্যিই, এটি আমার মুক্তিতে পরিণত হবে, যেহেতু কোনও অধার্মিক তাঁর সামনে আসতে সাহস পায় না!
17 Heare diligently my wordes, and marke my talke.
আমি যা বলি তা মন দিয়ে শোনো; আমার বক্তব্য তোমাদের কানে বাজুক।
18 Beholde nowe: if I prepare me to iudgement, I knowe that I shalbe iustified.
এখন আমি যখন আমার মামলাটি সাজিয়েছি, তখন আমি জানি যে আমি নির্দোষ প্রমাণিত হব।
19 Who is he, that will pleade with me? for if I nowe holde my tongue, I dye.
কেউ কি আমার বিরুদ্ধে অভিযোগ করতে পারবে? যদি পারে, তবে আমি নীরব থাকব ও মৃত্যুবরণ করব।
20 But doe not these two things vnto me: then will I not hide my selfe from thee.
“হে ঈশ্বর, আমাকে শুধু এই দুটি জিনিস দাও, ও তখন আর আমি নিজেকে তোমার কাছে লুকিয়ে রাখব না:
21 Withdrawe thine hande from me, and let not thy feare make me afraide.
তোমার হাত আমার কাছ থেকে দূরে সরিয়ে নাও, ও তোমার আতঙ্ক দিয়ে আমাকে আর ভয় দেখিয়ো না।
22 Then call thou, and I will answere: or let me speake, and answere thou me.
তখন আমাকে ডেকো ও আমি উত্তর দেব, বা আমাকে কথা বলতে দিয়ো ও তুমি আমাকে উত্তর দিয়ো।
23 Howe many are mine iniquities and sinnes? shewe me my rebellion, and my sinne.
আমি কতগুলি অন্যায় ও পাপ করেছি? আমার অপরাধ ও আমার পাপ আমায় দেখিয়ে দাও।
24 Wherefore hidest thou thy face, and takest me for thine enemie?
তুমি কেন তোমার মুখ লুকিয়েছ ও আমাকে তোমার শত্রু বলে মনে করছ?
25 Wilt thou breake a leafe driuen to and from? and wilt thou pursue the drie stubble?
তুমি কি বায়ুতাড়িত একটি পাতাকে যন্ত্রণা দেবে? শুকনো তুষের পিছু ধাওয়া করবে?
26 For thou writest bitter things against me, and makest me to possesse the iniquities of my youth.
কারণ তুমি আমার বিরুদ্ধে তিক্ত অভিযোগ লিপিবদ্ধ করেছ ও আমাকে আমার যৌবনকালীন পাপের ফলভোগ করাচ্ছ।
27 Thou puttest my feete also in the stocks, and lookest narrowly vnto all my pathes, and makest the print thereof in ye heeles of my feet.
তুমি আমার পায়ে বেড়ি পরিয়েছ; আমার পায়ের তলায় চিহ্ন এঁকে দিয়ে তুমি আমার সব পথে সতর্ক দৃষ্টি রেখে চলেছ।
28 Such one consumeth like a rotten thing, and as a garment that is motheaten.
“তাই মানুষ পচাগলা বস্তুর মতো, পোকায় কাটা পোশাকের মতো ক্ষয়ে যায়।
