Jeremiah 6
1 O ye children of Beniamin, prepare to flee out of the middes of Ierusalem, and blowe the trumpet in Tekoa: set vp a standart vpon Beth-haccerem: for a plague appeareth out of the North and great destruction.
Flüchtet euch zusammen, Benjamins Söhne, aus Jerusalems Mitte. In Thekoa stoßet in die Posaune und auf dem Hause des Weinbergs erhebt das Feuerzeichen; denn Böses schaut hervor aus Mitternacht und großes Zerbrechen.
2 I haue compared the daughter of Zion to a beautifull and daintie woman.
Einer Holden und Üppigen vergleiche Ich die Tochter Zijon.
3 The pastors with their flockes shall come vnto her: they shall pitche their tentes rounde about by her, and euery one shall feede in his place.
Zu ihr kommen die Hirten und ihre Herden, sie schlagen ihre Zelte ringsum bei ihr auf; sie weiden, jeder Mann seine Stelle ab.
4 Prepare warre against her: arise, and let vs goe vp toward the South: wo vnto vs: for the day declineth, and the shadowes of the euening are stretched out.
Heiligt wider sie den Streit; stehet auf und lasset uns gen Mittag hinaufziehen! Wehe uns, denn der Tag hat sich gewendet, und die Schatten des Abends strecken sich.
5 Arise, and let vs goe vp by night, and destroy her palaces.
Stehet auf! und laßt uns in der Nacht hinaufziehen und ihre Paläste verderben.
6 For thus hath the Lord of hostes said, Hewe downe wood, and cast a mounte against Ierusalem: this citie must be visited: all oppression is in the middes of it.
Denn also spricht Jehovah der Heerscharen: Haut Bäume um und schüttet einen Wall auf wider Jerusalem; sie ist die Stadt, die heimgesucht wird. In ihrem Inneren ist alles Erpressung.
7 As the fountaine casteth out her waters, so she casteth out her malice: crueltie and spoyle is continually heard in her before me with sorowe and strokes.
Wie der Brunnen läßt hervorquellen sein Wasser, so quillt hervor ihre Bosheit. Gewalttat und Verheerung hört man in ihr, vor Meinem Angesicht beständig Krankheit und Schlag.
8 Be thou instructed, O Ierusalem, lest my soule depart from thee, lest I make thee desolate as a land, that none inhabiteth.
Nimm Zucht an, Jerusalem, daß sich Meine Seele nicht von dir abneige, daß Ich dich nicht zur Verwüstung mache, zu einem Lande, das man nicht bewohnt.
9 Thus sayeth the Lord of hostes, They shall gather as a vine, the residue of Israel: turne backe thine hande as the grape gatherer into the baskets.
So spricht Jehovah der Heerscharen: Eine Nachlese soll man nachlesen, wie am Weinstock, an dem Überrest Israels. Deine Hand soll sie in die Körbe bringen wie der Winzer!
10 Vnto whome shall I speake, and admonish that they may heare? beholde, their eares are vncircumcised, and they cannot hearken: beholde, the worde of the Lord is vnto them as a reproche: they haue no delite in it.
Zu wem soll ich reden und zeugen, daß sie es hören? Siehe, ihr Ohr ist unbeschnitten, sie vermögen nicht zu horchen. Siehe, das Wort Jehovahs ist ihnen zur Schmach geworden. Sie haben keine Lust dazu.
11 Therefore I am full of the wrath of the Lord: I am weary with holding it: I will powre it out vpon the children in the streete, and likewise vpon the assembly of the yong men: for the husband shall euen be taken with the wife, and the aged with him that is full of daies.
Aber ich bin voll vom Grimme Jehovahs, bin ermüdet, davon ihn zurückzuhalten. Schütte ihn aus über das Kindlein auf der Gasse und über den Kreis der Jünglinge allzumal; denn auch der Mann mit dem Weib wird gefangen werden, der Alte mit dem, der voll ist von Tagen.
12 And their houses with their landes, and wiues also shalbe turned vnto strangers: for I will stretch out mine hande vpon the inhabitants of the land, sayeth the Lord.
Und ihre Häuser gehen an andere über, Felder und Weiber allzumal, wenn Meine Hand Ich ausrecke über die, so im Lande wohnen, spricht Jehovah.
13 For from the least of them, euen vnto the greatest of them, euery one is giuen vnto couetousnesse, and from the Prophet euen vnto the Priest, they all deale falsely.
Denn von ihren Kleinen bis zu ihren Großen geizt alles nach Gewinn, und vom Propheten bis zum Priester tut alles Lüge;
14 They haue healed also ye hurt of the daughter of my people with sweete woordes, saying, Peace, peace, when there is no peace.
Und heilen den Bruch der Tochter Meines Volkes leichthin und sagen: Friede, Friede, und ist kein Friede.
15 Were they ashamed when they had committed abomination? nay, they were not ashamed, no neither coulde they haue any shame: therefore they shall fall among the slaine: when I shall visite them, they shall be cast downe, sayth the Lord.
Schämen sie sich, daß sie Greuel tun? Sie schämen sich mit keiner Scham, auch wissen sie nichts von Schande; darum sollen sie fallen unter den Fallenden; zur Zeit, da Ich sie heimsuche, straucheln sie, spricht Jehovah.
16 Thus sayeth the Lord, Stande in the waies and beholde, and aske for the olde way, which is the good way and walke therein, and yee shall finde rest for your soules: but they saide, We will not walke therein.
So spricht Jehovah: Stehet bei den Wegen und sehet und fraget nach den Steigen der Ewigkeit, welches der gute Weg sei, und wandelt darin, und ihr werdet Rast finden für eure Seele. Sie aber sprechen: Wir wollen nicht darauf wandeln.
17 Also I set watchmen ouer you, which said, Take heede to the sound of the trumpet: but they said, We will not take heede.
Und Ich habe Wächter über euch eingesetzt. Horchet auf die Stimme der Posaune. Sie aber sprachen: Wir wollen nicht horchen.
18 Heare therefore, yee Gentiles, and thou Congregation knowe, what is among them.
So hört denn, ihr Völkerschaften, und wisse, du Gemeinde, was in ihnen ist.
19 Heare, O earth, beholde, I will cause a plague to come vpon this people, euen the fruite of their owne imaginations: because they haue not taken heede vnto my woordes, nor to my Lawe, but cast it off.
Höre, du Erde: Siehe, Ich bringe Böses über dieses Volk, die Frucht ihrer Gedanken, daß sie auf Meine Worte nicht horchen, und Mein Gesetz, das verschmähen sie.
20 To what purpose bringest thou mee incense from Sheba, and sweete calamus from a farre countrey? Your burnt offerings are not pleasant, nor your sacrifices sweete vnto me.
Was soll Mir dies, daß Weihrauch aus Scheba kommt und der gute Kalmus aus fernem Lande? Eure Brandopfer sind nicht nach Meinem Wohlgefallen, und eure Schlachtopfer sind Mir nicht angenehm.
21 Therefore thus sayeth the Lord, Beholde, I will laie stumbling blockes before this people, and the fathers and the sonnes together shall fall vpon them: the neighbour and his friende shall perish.
Darum spricht also Jehovah: Siehe, Ich gebe einen Anstoß diesem Volk, daß sich daran anstoßen Väter und Söhne allzumal, daß der Nachbar und sein Genosse vergehen.
22 Thus sayeth the Lord, Beholde, a people commeth from the North countrey, and a great nation shall arise from the sides of the earth.
So spricht Jehovah: Siehe, ein Volk kommt von dem Land der Mitternacht, und eine große Völkerschaft wird auferweckt von der Erde Seiten.
23 With bowe and shield shall they be weaponed: they are cruell and will haue no compassion: their voyce roareth like the sea, and they ride vpon horses, well appointed, like men of warre against thee, O daughter Zion.
Bogen und Wurfspieß erfassen sie, sind grausam und haben kein Erbarmen; ihre Stimme tobt wie das Meer; und sie reiten auf Rossen, gerüstet wie ein Mann zum Streite wider dich, Tochter Zions.
24 We haue heard their fame, and our handes waxe feeble sorrowe is come vpon vs, as the sorrowe of a woman in trauaile.
Wir hören ihr Gerücht, unsere Hände erschlaffen. Bedrängnis erfaßt uns, ein Kreißen wie der Gebärerin.
25 Goe not foorth into the fielde, nor walke by the way: for the sword of the enemie and feare is on euery side.
Geht nicht hinaus auf das Feld und wandelt nicht auf dem Weg; denn des Feindes Schwert, Bangen ist ringsumher.
26 O daughter of my people, girde thee with sackecloth, and wallowe thy selfe in the ashes: make lamentation, and bitter mourning as for thine onely sonne: for the destroier shall suddenly come vpon vs.
O Tochter meines Volkes, gürte dich mit dem Sacke, wälze dich umher in der Asche, mache dir Trauer wie um den Einzigen, eine Klage der Bitterkeit; denn plötzlich kommt der Verheerer über uns.
27 I haue set thee for a defence and fortresse among my people, that thou maiest knowe and trie their waies.
Zum Prüfer gebe Ich dich, zur Festung unter Mein Volk, daß ihren Weg du kennen und prüfen sollst.
28 They are all rebellious traitours, walking craftily: they are brasse, and yron, they all are destroyers.
Sie alle sind Abgefallene der Abgefallenen; sie gehen als Zwischenträger, Erz und Eisen sind sie, sie sind alle Verderber.
29 The bellowes are burnt: the lead is consumed in the fire: the founder melteth in vaine: for the wicked are not taken away.
Es glüht der Blasebalg; verzehrt vom Feuer ist das Blei; umsonst läutert man, die Bösen lassen sich nicht abreißen.
30 They shall call them reprobate siluer, because the Lord hath reiected them.
Verschmähtes Silber nennt man sie; denn Jehovah hat sie verschmäht.
