Jeremiah 49
1 Unto the children of Ammon thus saith the Lord, Hath Israel no sonnes? or hath he none heire? Why then hath their king possessed God? and his people dwelt in his cities?
Dos filhos de Ammon. diz Yahweh: “Israel não tem filhos? Ele não tem herdeiro? Por que então a Malcam possui Gad, e seu povo moram em suas cidades?
2 Therefore beholde the dayes come, sayeth the Lord, that I will cause a noyse of warre to be heard in Rabbah of the Ammonites, and it shall be a desolate heape, and her daughters shall be burnt with fire: then shall Israel possesse those that possessed him, sayeth the Lord.
Portanto, eis que vêm os dias”. diz Yahweh, “que farei ouvir um alarme de guerra contra Rabbah das crianças de Ammon”, e se tornará uma pilha desolada, e suas filhas serão queimadas com fogo; então Israel possuirá aqueles que o possuíram”. diz Yahweh.
3 Howle, O Heshbon, for Ai is wasted: crie ye daughters of Rabbah: girde you with sackecloth: mourne and runne to and from by the hedges: for their King shall goe into captiuitie; and his Priestes, and his princes likewise.
“Wail, Heshbon, for Ai is laid waste! Chorem, suas filhas de Rabbah! Vista-se de pano de saco. Lamentar, e correr para frente e para trás entre as cercas; para Malcam irá para o cativeiro, seus padres e seus príncipes juntos.
4 Wherefore gloriest thou in the valleis? thy valley floweth away, O rebellious daughter: she trusted in her treasures, saying, Who shall come vnto me?
Por que você se vangloria nos vales, seu vale fluente, sua filha que se desvia? Você confiou nos tesouros dela, dizendo: 'Quem virá até mim?'.
5 Beholde, I will bring a feare vpon thee, sayth the Lord God of hostes, of all those that be about thee, and ye shalbe scattered euery man right foorth, and none shall gather him that fleeth.
Eis que trarei um terror sobre você”. diz o Senhor, Yahweh dos Exércitos, “de todos os que estão ao seu redor”. Todos vocês serão completamente expulsos, e não haverá ninguém para reunir os fugitivos.
6 And afterward I will bring againe the captiuitie of the children of Ammon.
“Mas depois eu vou reverter o cativeiro das crianças de Ammon”. diz Yahweh.
7 To Edom thus sayeth the Lord of hostes: Is wisdome no more in Teman? is counsel perished from their children? is their wisdome vanished?
De Edom, diz Yahweh dos Exércitos: “Não há mais sabedoria em Teman? O conselho pereceu do prudente? Será que sua sabedoria desapareceu?
8 Flee, ye inhabitants of Dedan (they are turned backe, and haue consulted to dwell) for I haue brought the destruction of Esau vpon him, and the time of his visitation.
Fuja! Volte para trás! Habitam nas profundezas, habitantes de Dedan; pois trarei a calamidade de Esaú sobre ele quando eu o visitar.
9 If the grape gatherers come to thee, would they not leaue some grapes? if theeues come by night, they will destroy till they haue ynough.
Se os vindimadores viessem até você, eles não deixariam algumas uvas para respigar? Se os ladrões viessem de noite, eles não roubariam até terem o suficiente?
10 For I haue discouered Esau: I haue vncouered his secrets, and he shall not be able to hide himselfe: his seede is wasted, and his brethren and his neighbours, and there shall be none to say,
Mas eu fiz a Esaú ficar sem nada, Descobri seus lugares secretos, e não será capaz de se esconder. Sua descendência é destruída, com seus irmãos e seus vizinhos; e ele não é mais.
11 Leaue thy fathers children, and I will preserue them aliue, and let thy widowes trust in me.
Deixe seus filhos sem pai. Eu os preservarei vivos. Deixem suas viúvas confiarem em mim”.
12 For thus sayth the Lord, Beholde, they whose iudgement was not to drinke of the cuppe, haue assuredly drunken, and art thou he that shall escape free? thou shalt not goe free, but thou shalt surely drinke of it.
Pois Yahweh diz: “Eis que aqueles a quem não pertenceu beber do cálice certamente beberão; e você é aquele que ficará completamente impune? Você não ficará impune, mas certamente irá beber.
13 For I haue sworne by my selfe, sayeth the Lord, that Bozrah shall be waste, and for a reproche, and a desolation, and a curse, and all the cities thereof shall be perpetuall desolations.
Pois eu jurei por mim mesmo”, diz Yahweh, “que Bozrah se tornará um espanto, uma reprovação, um desperdício e uma maldição”. Todas as suas cidades serão um desperdício perpétuo”.
14 I haue heard a rumour from the Lord, and an ambassadour is sent vnto the heathen, saying, Gather you together, and come against her, and rise vp to the battell.
Ouvi notícias de Yahweh, e um embaixador é enviado entre as nações, dizendo: “Reúnam-se! Venha contra ela! Levantem-se para a batalha”!
15 For loe, I will make thee but small among the heathen, and despised among men.
“Pois, eis que eu vos fiz pequenos entre as nações, e desprezadas entre os homens.
16 Thy feare, and ye pride of thine heart hath deceiued thee, thou that dwellest in the cleftes of the rocke, and keepest the height of ye hil: though thou shouldest make thy nest as hie as the eagle, I wil bring thee downe from thece, sayth the Lord.
Quanto ao seu terror, o orgulho de seu coração o enganou, Ó vocês que habitam nas fendas da rocha, que seguram a altura da colina, embora você deva fazer seu ninho tão alto quanto a águia, Eu o farei descer dali”, diz Yahweh.
17 Also Edom shall be desolate: euery one that goeth by it, shall be astonished, and shall hisse at all the plagues thereof,
“Edom se tornará um espanto. Todos os que passarem por ela ficarão surpresos, e assobiará em todas as suas pragas.
18 As in the ouerthrowe of Sodom, and of Gomorah, and the places thereof neere about, saieth the Lord: no man shall dwell there, neither shall the sonnes of men remaine in it.
Como na derrubada de Sodoma e Gomorra e suas cidades vizinhas”, diz Yahweh, “nenhum homem vai morar lá, e nenhum filho do homem viverá nele.
19 Beholde, hee shall come vp like a lyon from the swelling of Iorden vnto the strong dwelling place: for I will make Israel to rest, euen I will make him to haste away from her, and who is a chosen man that I may appoynt against her? for who is like mee? and who will appoint me the time? and who is the shepheard that will stande before me?
“Eis que ele subirá como um leão do orgulho do Jordão contra a morada forte; pois de repente eu os farei fugir dele, e quem quer que seja escolhido, Eu o nomearei sobre ele. Para quem é como eu? Quem me indicará um horário? Quem é o pastor que vai estar diante de mim?”
20 Therefore heare the counsell of the Lord that hee hath deuised against Edom, and his purpose that hee hath conceiued against the inhabitants of Teman: surely the least of the flocke shall drawe them out: surely he shall make their habitations desolate with them.
Portanto, ouça o conselho de Yahweh, que ele tomou contra Edom, e seus propósitos que ele se propôs contra os habitantes de Teman: Certamente, eles os arrastarão para longe, os mais pequenos do rebanho. Certamente, ele fará com que a habitação deles seja desolada sobre eles.
21 The earth is mooued at the noyse of their fall: the crie of their voice is heard in the red Sea.
A terra treme com o barulho de sua queda; há um grito, o barulho que se ouve no Mar Vermelho.
22 Behold, he shall come vp, and flie as the Egle, and spreade his wings ouer Bozrah, and at that day shall the heart of the strong men of Edome be as the heart of a woman in trauaile.
Eis que ele subirá e voará como a águia, e abrir suas asas contra Bozrah. O coração dos poderosos homens de Edom naquele dia será como o coração de uma mulher em suas dores.
23 Vnto Damascus he sayeth, Hamath is confounded and Arpad, for they haue heard euill tidings, and they are faint hearted as one on the fearefull sea that can not rest.
De Damasco: “Hamath e Arpad estão confusos, pois eles ouviram notícias más. Eles se derreteram. Há tristeza no mar. Não pode ficar quieto.
24 Damascus is discouraged, and turneth her selfe to flight and feare hath seased her: anguish and sorowes haue taken her as a woman in trauaile.
Damasco tem crescido fraco, ela se transforma para fugir, e tremores a apreenderam. As angústias e tristezas se apoderaram dela, como de uma mulher em situação de trabalho.
25 How is the glorious citie not reserued, the citie of my ioy?
Como a cidade dos elogios não é abandonada, a cidade da minha alegria?
26 Therefore her yong men shall fall in her streetes, and all her men of warre shall be cut off in that day, sayeth the Lord of hostes.
Portanto, seus jovens cairão em suas ruas, e todos os homens de guerra serão levados ao silêncio naquele dia”. diz Yahweh dos Exércitos.
27 And I will kindle a fire in the wall of Damascus, which shall cosume the palaces of Benhadad.
“Acenderei um incêndio na parede de Damasco, e devorará os palácios de Ben Hadad”.
28 Vnto Kedar, and to the kingdomes of Hazor, which Nebuchad-nezzar, king of Babel shall smite, thus sayeth the Lord, Arise, and goe vp vnto Kedar, and destroy the men of the East.
De Kedar, e dos reinos de Hazor, que Nabucodonosor, rei da Babilônia, atingiu, diz Yahweh: “Levante-se, suba até Kedar, e destruir as crianças do leste.
29 Their tents and their flocks shall they take away: yea, they shall take to themselues their curtaines and all their vessels, and their camels, and they shall crie vnto them, Feare is on euery side.
Eles levarão suas tendas e seus rebanhos. eles levarão suas cortinas para si mesmos, todas as suas embarcações, e seus camelos; e chorarão para eles: “Terror de todos os lados!
30 Flee, get you farre off (they haue consulted to dwell) O ye inhabitants of Hazor, saith the Lord: for Nebuchad-nezzar King of Babel hath taken counsell against you, and hath deuised a purpose against you.
Fuja! Vaguear longe! Habitem nas profundezas, vocês habitantes de Hazor”, diz Yahweh; “pois Nabucodonosor, rei da Babilônia, tomou conselho contra você, e concebeu um propósito contra você.
31 Arise, and get you vp vnto the welthy nation that dwelleth without care, saith the Lord, which haue neither gates nor barres, but dwel alone.
Levante-se! Vá para uma nação que está à vontade, que mora sem cuidado”, diz Yahweh; “que não tem portões nem barras”, que mora sozinha.
32 And their camels shall be a bootie, and the multitude of their cattel a spoile, and I will scatter them into all windes, and to the vtmost corners, and I will bring their destruction from al the sides thereof, sayeth the Lord.
Seus camelos serão um saque, e a multidão de seu gado um saque. Espalharei a todos os ventos aqueles que têm os cantos de suas barbas cortados; e eu trarei sua calamidade de todos os lados deles”. diz Yahweh.
33 And Hazor shall be a dwelling for dragons, and desolation for euer: there shall no man dwell there, nor the sonnes of men remaine in it.
Hazor será uma morada de chacais, uma desolação para sempre. Nenhum homem vai morar lá, e nenhum filho do homem viverá nele”.
34 The woordes of the Lord that came to Ieremiah the Prophet, concerning Elam, in the beginning of the reigne of Zedekiah King of Iudah, saying,
A palavra de Javé que veio a Jeremias, o profeta, sobre Elão, no início do reinado de Zedequias, rei de Judá, dizendo:
35 Thus sayeth the Lord of hostes, Beholde, I will breake the bowe of Elam, euen the chiefe of their strength.
“diz Javé dos Exércitos: “Eis que vou quebrar o arco de Elam, o chefe do seu poder.
36 And vpon Elam I will bring the foure windes from the foure quarters of heauen, and will scatter them towardes all these windes, and there shall bee no nation, whither the fugitiues of Elam shall not come.
trarei ao Elam os quatro ventos dos quatro cantos do céu, e os espalhará para todos esses ventos. Não haverá nação onde os párias de Elam não venham.
37 For I will cause Elam to be afraied before their enemies, and before them that seeke their liues, and will bring vpon them a plague, euen the indignation of my wrath, saieth the Lord, and I wil sende the sworde after them till I haue consumed them.
Eu farei com que Elam fique consternado diante de seus inimigos, e diante daqueles que buscam sua vida. Eu trarei o mal sobre eles, mesmo minha raiva feroz”, diz Yahweh; “e eu mandarei a espada atrás deles, até que eu os tenha consumido.
38 And I wil set my throne in Elam, and I wil destroy both the King and the princes from thence, saith the Lord:
Fixarei meu trono em Elam, e destruirá de lá rei e príncipes”, diz Yahweh.
39 but in the latter daies I wil bring againe the captiuitie of Elam, sayeth the Lord.
'Mas isso vai acontecer nos últimos dias que eu vou reverter o cativeiro de Elam”, diz Yahweh”.
