Jeremiah 45

1 The worde that Ieremiah the Prophet spake vnto Baruch the sonne of Neriah, when he had written these woordes in a booke at the mouth of Ieremiah, in the fourth yeere of Iehoiakim the sonne of Iosiah King of Iudah, saying,

Jen estas la vorto, kiun la profeto Jeremia diris al Baruĥ, filo de Nerija, kiam ĉi tiu skribis tiujn vortojn en libron sub diktado de Jeremia, en la kvara jaro de Jehojakim, filo de Joŝija, reĝo de Judujo:

2 Thus sayeth the Lord God of Israel vnto thee, O Baruch,

Tiele diras la Eternulo, Dio de Izrael, pri vi, ho Baruĥ:

3 Thou diddest say, Wo is me nowe: for the Lord hath laied sorrow vnto my sorrowe: I fainted in my mourning, and I can finde no rest.

Vi diris: Ve al mi! ĉar la Eternulo aldonis malĝojon al mia suferado; mi laciĝis de mia ĝemado, kaj mi ne trovas ripozon.

4 Thus shalt thou say vnto him, The Lord sayeth thus, Behold, that which I haue built, will I destroy, and that which I haue planted, will I plucke vp, euen this whole lande.

Tiele diru al li: Tiele diras la Eternulo: Jen tion, kion Mi konstruis, Mi detruas, kaj kion Mi plantis, tion Mi elradikigas, ĉi tiun tutan Mian landon;

5 And seekest thou great things for thy self? seeke them not: for beholde, I wil bring a plague vpon al flesh, saith the Lord: but thy life wil I giue thee for a pray in all places, whither thou goest.

kaj vi postulas por vi grandaĵon! Ne postulu; ĉar jen Mi venigos malbonon sur ĉiun karnon, diras la Eternulo, sed al vi Mi donos vian animon kiel akiron sur ĉiuj lokoj, kien vi iros.
