Jeremiah 44
1 The worde that came to Ieremiah concerning all the Iewes, which dwell in the lande of Egypt, and remained at Migdol and at Tahpanhes, and at Noph, and in the coutry of Pathros, saying,
Cuvântul care a venit la Ieremia referitor la toți iudeii care locuiau în țara Egiptului, care locuiau la Migdol și la Tahpanes și la Nof și în ținutul Patros, spunând:
2 Thus sayeth the Lord of hostes the God of Israel, Yee haue seene all the euill that I haue brought vpon Ierusalem, and vpon all the cities of Iudah: and beholde, this day they are desolate, and no man dwelleth therein,
Astfel spune DOMNUL oștirilor, Dumnezeul lui Israel: Ați văzut tot răul pe care l-am adus asupra Ierusalimului și asupra tuturor cetăților lui Iuda; și, iată, în această zi ele sunt o pustiire și nimeni nu locuiește în ele,
3 Because of their wickednes which they haue comitted, to prouoke me to anger in that they went to burne incense, and to serue other gods, who they knew not, neither they nor you nor your fathers.
Din cauza stricăciunii lor, pe care au făcut-o pentru a mă provoca la mânie, în aceea că s-au dus să ardă tămâie și să servească altor dumnezei, pe care nu i-au cunoscut nici ei, nici voi, nici părinții voștri.
4 Howbeit I sent vnto you all my seruats the Prophets rising earely, and sending them, saying, Oh doe not this abominable thing that I hate.
Totuși eu am trimis la voi pe toți servitorii mei profeții, ridicându-mă devreme și trimițându-i, spunând: Oh, nu faceți acest lucru scârbos, pe care eu îl urăsc.
5 But they would not heare nor incline their eare to turne from their wickednes, and to burne no more incense vnto other gods.
Dar ei nu au dat ascultare, nici nu și-au plecat urechea pentru a se întoarce de la stricăciunea lor, pentru a se opri să ardă tămâie altor dumnezei.
6 Wherefore my wrath, and mine anger was powred foorth and was kindled in the cities of Iudah, and in the streetes of Ierusalem, and they are desolate, and wasted, as appeareth this day.
Pentru aceea furia mea și mânia mea au fost turnate și s-au aprins în cetățile lui Iuda și pe străzile Ierusalimului; și ele sunt risipite și pustiite, precum în această zi.
7 Therefore now thus saith the Lord of hosts the God of Israel, Wherfore commit ye this great euill against your soules, to cut off from you man and woman, childe and suckling out of Iudah, and leaue you none to remaine?
De aceea acum, astfel spune DOMNUL Dumnezeul oștirilor, Dumnezeul lui Israel: Pentru ce faceți acest mare rău împotriva sufletelor voastre, pentru a stârpi dintre voi bărbat și femeie, prunc și sugar, din Iuda, pentru a nu lăsa pe nimeni să rămână;
8 In that yee prouoke mee vnto wrath with the woorkes of your hands, burning incense vnto other Gods in the lande of Egypt whither yee be gone to dwell: that yee might bring destruction vnto your selues, and that ye might be a curse and a reproch among all nations of the earth.
În aceea că voi mă provocați la mânie cu lucrările mâinilor voastre, arzând tămâie altor dumnezei în țara Egiptului, unde ați mers să locuiți, ca să vă stârpiți și ca să ajungeți un blestem și o ocară printre toate națiunile pământului?
9 Haue yee forgotten the wickednes of your fathers, and the wickednesse of the Kings of Iudah and the wickednesse of their wiues and your owne wickednes and the wickednes of your wiues, which they haue committed in the land of Iudah and in the streetes of Ierusalem?
Ați uitat voi stricăciunea părinților voștri și stricăciunea împăraților lui Iuda și stricăciunea soțiilor lor și propria voastră stricăciune și stricăciunea soțiilor voastre, pe care au făcut-o în țara lui Iuda și pe străzile Ierusalimului?
10 They are not humbled vnto this day, neither haue they feared nor walked in my lawe nor in my statutes, that I set before you and before your fathers.
Ei nu s-au umilit nici până în această zi, nici nu s-au temut, nici nu au umblat în legea mea, nici în statutele mele, pe care le-am pus înaintea voastră și înaintea părinților voștri.
11 Therefore thus sayeth the Lord of hostes the God of Israel, Beholde, I will set my face against you to euill and to destroy all Iudah,
De aceea astfel spune DOMNUL oștirilor, Dumnezeul lui Israel: Iată, îmi voi întoarce fața împotriva voastră pentru rău și pentru a stârpi întreaga Iuda.
12 And I will take the remnant of Iudah, that haue set their faces to goe into the lande of Egypt there to dwell, and they shall all bee consumed and fall in the lande of Egypt: they shall euen bee consumed by the sworde and by the famine: they shall die from the least vnto the most, by the sworde, and by the famine, and they shall be a detestation and an astonishment and a curse and a reproche.
Și voi lua rămășița lui Iuda, care și-a întors fața pentru a merge în țara Egiptului, pentru a locui temporar acolo și ei vor fi cu toții mistuiți și vor cădea în țara Egiptului; vor fi mistuiți prin sabie și prin foamete; vor muri, de la cel mai mic până la cel mai mare, prin sabie și prin foamete; și vor fi detestați și o înmărmurire și un blestem și o ocară.
13 For I will visite them that dwel in the land of Egypt, as I haue visited Ierusalem, by ye sworde, by the famine, and by the pestilence,
Fiindcă voi pedepsi pe cei care locuiesc în țara Egiptului, precum am pedepsit Ierusalimul, cu sabie, cu foamete și cu ciumă;
14 So that none of the remnant of Iudah, which are gone into the lande of Egypt to dwell there, shall escape or remaine, that they shoulde returne into the land of Iudah to the which they haue a desire to returne to dwell there: for none shall returne, but such as shall escape.
Astfel încât nimeni din rămășița lui Iuda, care a intrat în țara Egiptului pentru a locui temporar acolo, nu va scăpa nici nu va rămâne, ca să se poată întoarce în țara lui Iuda, spre care au dorința de a se întoarce și a locui acolo, pentru că nimeni nu se va întoarce decât cei care vor scăpa.
15 Then all the men which knewe that their wiues had burnt incense vnto other gods and all the women that stoode by, a great multitude, euen all the people that dwelt in the lande of Egypt in Pathros, answered Ieremiah, saying,
Atunci toți bărbații care știau că soțiile lor ardeau tămâie altor dumnezei și toate femeile care stăteau de față în picioare, o mare mulțime, chiar tot poporul care locuia în țara Egiptului, în Patros, i-au răspuns lui Ieremia, spunând:
16 The worde that thou hast spoken vnto vs in the Name of the Lord, wee will not heare it of thee,
Cât despre cuvântul pe care ni l-ai vorbit în numele DOMNULUI, nu îți vom da ascultare.
17 But wee will doe whatsoeuer thing goeth out of our owne mouth, as to burne incense vnto the Queene of heauen, and to powre out drinke offerings vnto her, as we haue done, both we and our fathers, our Kings and our princes in the cities of Iudah, and in the streetes of Ierusalem: for then had wee plentie of vitailes and were well and felt none euill.
Ci vom face, într-adevăr, orice lucru care iese din gura noastră, pentru a arde tămâie împărătesei cerului și pentru a-i turna daruri de băutură, precum am făcut, noi și părinții noștri, împărații noștri și prinții noștri, în cetățile lui Iuda și pe străzile Ierusalimului, pentru că atunci aveam multe merinde și eram bine și nu am văzut niciun rău.
18 But since wee left off to burne incense to the Queene of heauen, and to powre out drinke offerings vnto her, we haue had scarcenesse of all things, and haue beene consumed by the sworde and by the famine.
Dar de când am încetat să ardem tămâie împărătesei cerului și să îi turnăm daruri de băutură, ne-au lipsit toate lucrurile și am fost mistuiți cu sabie și cu foamete.
19 And when we burnt incense to ye Queene of heauen, and powred out drinke offerings vnto her, did wee make her cakes to make her glad, and powre out drinke offerings vnto her without our husbands?
Și după ce ardeam tămâie împărătesei cerului și îi turnam daruri de băutură, îi făceam turte pentru a ne închina ei, și îi turnam daruri de băutură, fără bărbații noștri?
20 Then said Ieremiah vnto all the people, to the men, and to the women, and to all the people which had giuen him that answere, saying,
Atunci Ieremia a spus întregului popor, bărbaților și femeilor și întregului popor care îi dăduse acest răspuns, spunând:
21 Did not the Lord remember the incense, that yee burnt in the cities of Iudah, and in the streetes of Ierusalem, both you, and your fathers, your Kinges, and your princes, and the people of the land, and hath he not considered it?
Nu de tămâia pe care ați ars-o în cetățile lui Iuda și pe străzile Ierusalimului, voi și părinții voștri, împărații voștri și prinții voștri și poporul țării, și-a amintit DOMNUL și i-a venit în minte?
22 So that the Lord could no longer forbeare, because of the wickednes of your inuentions, and because of the abominations, which ye haue committed: therefore is your lande desolate and an astonishment, and a curse and without inhabitant, as appeareth this day.
Astfel încât DOMNUL nu v-a mai putut suferi, din cauza răutății facerilor voastre și din cauza urâciunilor pe care le-ați făcut; de aceea este țara voastră o pustiire și o înmărmurire și un blestem, fără locuitor, precum în această zi.
23 Because ye haue burnt incense and because ye haue sinned against the Lord, and haue not obeyed the voyce of the Lord, nor walked in his Lawe, nor in his statutes, nor in his testimonies, therefore this plague is come vpon you, as appeareth this day.
Pentru că voi ați ars tămâie și pentru că ați păcătuit împotriva DOMNULUI și nu ați ascultat de vocea DOMNULUI, nici nu ați umblat în legea lui, nici în statutele lui, nici în mărturiile lui; de aceea acest rău vi s-a întâmplat, precum în această zi.
24 Moreouer Ieremiah saide vnto all the people and to all the women, Heare the word of the Lord, all Iudah that are in the land of Egypt.
Mai mult, Ieremia a spus întregului popor și tuturor femeilor: Ascultați cuvântul DOMNULUI, tot Iuda, care sunteți în țara Egiptului;
25 Thus speaketh the Lord of hosts, the God of Israel, saying, Ye and your wiues haue both spoken with your mouthes, and fulfilled with your hande, saying, We will performe our vowes that we haue vowed to burne incense to the Queene of heauen, and to powre out drinke offerings to her: yee will perfourme your vowes and doe the things that yee haue vowed.
Astfel vorbește DOMNUL oștirilor, Dumnezeul lui Israel, spunând: Voi și soțiile voastre ați vorbit deopotrivă cu gura voastră și ați împlinit cu mâinile voastre, spunând: Vom împlini cu siguranță promisiunile noastre pe care le-am promis, pentru a arde tămâie împărătesei cerului și pentru a-i turna daruri de băutură; vă veți împlini într-adevăr promisiunile și într-adevăr vă veți termina promisiunile.
26 Therefore heare the word of the Lord, all Iudah that dwel in the land of Egypt. Beholde, I haue sworne by my great Name, sayeth the Lord, that my Name shall no more be called vpon by the mouth of any man of Iudah, in all the lande of Egypt, saying, The Lord God liueth.
De aceea ascultați cuvântul DOMNULUI, tot Iuda care locuiți în țara Egiptului: Iată, eu am jurat prin numele meu mare, spune DOMNUL, că numele meu nu va mai fi numit în gura niciunui om din Iuda în toată țara Egiptului, spunând: Domnul DUMNEZEU trăiește.
27 Behold, I wil watch ouer them for euil and not for good, and all men of Iudah that are in the land of Egypt, shalbe consumed by the sword, and by the famine, vntill they be vtterly destroied.
Iată, voi veghea asupra lor spre rău, și nu spre bine; și toți bărbații lui Iuda care sunt în țara Egiptului vor fi mistuiți cu sabie și cu foamete, până va fi un sfârșit al lor.
28 Yet a small nomber that escape the sworde, shall returne out of the lande of Egypt into the lande of Iudah: and all the remnant of Iudah that are gone into the lande of Egypt to dwell there, shall know whose words shall stad, mine or theirs.
Totuși, un număr mic ce va scăpa de sabie se vor întoarce din țara Egiptului în țara lui Iuda și toată rămășița lui Iuda care a mers în țara Egiptului pentru a locui temporar acolo, va cunoaște ale cui cuvinte vor sta în picioare, ale mele, sau ale lor.
29 And this shall be a signe vnto you, saith the Lord, whe I visit you in this place, that ye may know that my words shall surely stand against you for euill.
Și acesta vă va fi un semn, spune DOMNUL, că vă voi pedepsi în acest loc, ca să știți că cuvintele mele vor sta în picioare negreșit împotriva voastră spre rău;
30 Thus sayth the Lord, Beholde, I will giue Pharaoh Hophra King of Egypt into the hand of his enemies, and into the hand of them that seeke his life: as I gaue Zedekiah King of Iudah into the hand of Nebuchad-nezzar King of Babel his enemie, who also sought his life.
Astfel spune DOMNUL: Iată, îl voi da pe Faraon Hofra împăratul Egiptului în mâna dușmanilor lui și în mâna celor care îi caută viața; precum l-am dat pe Zedechia, împăratul lui Iuda, în mâna lui Nebucadnețar împăratul Babilonului, dușmanul său și cel care îi căuta viața.
