< Jeremiah 44 >

1 The worde that came to Ieremiah concerning all the Iewes, which dwell in the lande of Egypt, and remained at Migdol and at Tahpanhes, and at Noph, and in the coutry of Pathros, saying,
Nya sia va na Yeremia tso Yudatɔ siwo katã le Egipte ƒe anyigbe, le Migdol, Tapanhes, Memfis kple Egipte ƒe dzigbe be,
2 Thus sayeth the Lord of hostes the God of Israel, Yee haue seene all the euill that I haue brought vpon Ierusalem, and vpon all the cities of Iudah: and beholde, this day they are desolate, and no man dwelleth therein,
“Ale Yehowa, Dziƒoʋakɔwo ƒe Aƒetɔ, Israel ƒe Mawu la gblɔe nye esi: Miekpɔ gbegblẽ gã si mehe va Yerusalem kple Yuda duwo katã dzi. Egbe la, wozu aƒedo siwo me ame aɖeke mele o,
3 Because of their wickednes which they haue comitted, to prouoke me to anger in that they went to burne incense, and to serue other gods, who they knew not, neither they nor you nor your fathers.
ɖe nu vɔ̃ɖi si wowɔ la ta. Wodo dziku nam vevie elabena wodo dzudzɔ ʋeʋĩ na gbetsiwo eye wode ta agu na mawu tutɔ siwo woawo ŋutɔwo loo, alo miawo alo wo fofowo menya kpɔ o.
4 Howbeit I sent vnto you all my seruats the Prophets rising earely, and sending them, saying, Oh doe not this abominable thing that I hate.
Zi geɖe meɖo nye dɔla nyagblɔɖilawo ɖe wo, ame siwo gblɔ na wo be, ‘Migawɔ ŋunyɔnu si metsri vevie la o!’
5 But they would not heare nor incline their eare to turne from their wickednes, and to burne no more incense vnto other gods.
Ke womeɖo to alo tsɔ ɖeke le eme o; Womeɖe asi le woƒe nu vɔ̃ɖiwo wɔwɔ ŋu alo dzudzɔ dzudzɔʋeʋĩdodo na mawu tutɔwo o,
6 Wherefore my wrath, and mine anger was powred foorth and was kindled in the cities of Iudah, and in the streetes of Ierusalem, and they are desolate, and wasted, as appeareth this day.
eya ta metrɔ nye dɔmedzoe helĩhelĩ la kɔ ɖi eye wòbi le Yuda ƒe duwo kple Yerusalem kpɔdomewo, hewɔ wo wozu aƒedo abe ale si miele ekpɔm egbea ene.
7 Therefore now thus saith the Lord of hosts the God of Israel, Wherfore commit ye this great euill against your soules, to cut off from you man and woman, childe and suckling out of Iudah, and leaue you none to remaine?
“Azɔ la, ale Yehowa, Dziƒoʋakɔwo ƒe Mawu, Israel ƒe Mawu la gblɔe nye esi: Nu ka ta miehe gbegblẽ gã sia va mia ɖokuiwo dzi, be mieɖe ŋutsuwo, nyɔnuwo, ɖeviwo kple vidzĩwo ɖa le Yuda eye miegble ɖeke ɖi na mia ɖokuiwo o?
8 In that yee prouoke mee vnto wrath with the woorkes of your hands, burning incense vnto other Gods in the lande of Egypt whither yee be gone to dwell: that yee might bring destruction vnto your selues, and that ye might be a curse and a reproch among all nations of the earth.
Nu ka wɔ mietsɔ miaƒe asinudɔwɔwɔwo do dziku nam, eye miedo dzudzɔʋeʋĩ na Egipte mawu tutɔwo, afi si mieva be mianɔ? Miele mia ɖokuiwo dome gblẽ ge, ahawɔe be miazu ɖiŋudonu kple ŋunyɔnu le anyigbadzidukɔwo katã dome.
9 Haue yee forgotten the wickednes of your fathers, and the wickednesse of the Kings of Iudah and the wickednesse of their wiues and your owne wickednes and the wickednes of your wiues, which they haue committed in the land of Iudah and in the streetes of Ierusalem?
Ɖe mieŋlɔ nu vɔ̃ɖi si mia fofowo, Yuda fiawo kple fiasrɔ̃wo wɔ kple nu vɔ̃ɖi siwo miawo kple mia srɔ̃wo miewɔ le Yudanyigba dzi kple Yerusalem kpɔdomewo bea?
10 They are not humbled vnto this day, neither haue they feared nor walked in my lawe nor in my statutes, that I set before you and before your fathers.
Va se ɖe egbe sia womebɔbɔ wo ɖokuiwo, de bubu ŋunye loo, alo wɔ nye sewo kple ɖoɖo siwo metsɔ ɖo mi kple mia fofowo ŋkume la dzi o.
11 Therefore thus sayeth the Lord of hostes the God of Israel, Beholde, I will set my face against you to euill and to destroy all Iudah,
“Eya ta ale Yehowa, Dziƒoʋakɔwo ƒe Aƒetɔ, Israel ƒe Mawu la gblɔe nye esi: Meɖoe kplikpaa be, mahe dzɔgbevɔ̃e va mia dzi, eye matsrɔ̃ Yuda katã.
12 And I will take the remnant of Iudah, that haue set their faces to goe into the lande of Egypt there to dwell, and they shall all bee consumed and fall in the lande of Egypt: they shall euen bee consumed by the sworde and by the famine: they shall die from the least vnto the most, by the sworde, and by the famine, and they shall be a detestation and an astonishment and a curse and a reproche.
Makplɔ Yuda ƒe ame mamlɛ siwo ɖoe be yewoayi aɖanɔ Egipte godoo la adzoe. Wo katã woatsrɔ̃ ɖe Egipte; woatsi yi nu loo, alo aku ɖe dɔwuame ƒe asi me.
13 For I will visite them that dwel in the land of Egypt, as I haue visited Ierusalem, by ye sworde, by the famine, and by the pestilence,
Matsɔ yi, dɔwuame kple dɔvɔ̃ ahe toe na ame siwo le Egipte abe ale si mehe toe na Yerusalem nɔlawo ene.
14 So that none of the remnant of Iudah, which are gone into the lande of Egypt to dwell there, shall escape or remaine, that they shoulde returne into the land of Iudah to the which they haue a desire to returne to dwell there: for none shall returne, but such as shall escape.
Yuda ƒe ame mamlɛ siwo si yi ɖe Egipte la dometɔ aɖeke masi alo atsi agbe be wòatrɔ ayi ɖe Yudanyigba dzi, afi si ŋu woƒe dzi ku ɖo vevie be woaɖanɔ o; ame aɖeke matrɔ agbɔ o, negbe aʋasila aɖewo ko.”
15 Then all the men which knewe that their wiues had burnt incense vnto other gods and all the women that stoode by, a great multitude, euen all the people that dwelt in the lande of Egypt in Pathros, answered Ieremiah, saying,
Tete ŋutsu siwo katã nya be yewo srɔ̃wo le dzudzɔ ʋeʋĩ dom na mawu tutɔwo, kpe ɖe nyɔnuawo katã ŋuti, wonye ameha gã aɖe ŋutɔ eye ame siwo katã le Egipte ƒe anyigbe kple dzigbe kpe ɖe wo ŋuti wova gblɔ na Yeremia bena,
16 The worde that thou hast spoken vnto vs in the Name of the Lord, wee will not heare it of thee,
“Míaɖo to nya si nègblɔ na mí le Yehowa ŋkɔ me la o!
17 But wee will doe whatsoeuer thing goeth out of our owne mouth, as to burne incense vnto the Queene of heauen, and to powre out drinke offerings vnto her, as we haue done, both we and our fathers, our Kings and our princes in the cities of Iudah, and in the streetes of Ierusalem: for then had wee plentie of vitailes and were well and felt none euill.
Ke boŋ míawɔ nu sia nu si míegblɔ be míawɔ, míado dzudzɔʋeʋĩ na Dziƒofianyɔnu, eye míaƒo aha ɖi nɛ abe ale si ko mía fofowo, míaƒe fiawo kple dumegãwo wɔe le Yuda duwo kple Yerusalem kpɔdomewo ene. Le ɣe ma ɣi la, nuɖuɖu geɖe nɔ mía si, agbe hã dze dzi na mí nyuie eye míekpe hiã aɖeke o.
18 But since wee left off to burne incense to the Queene of heauen, and to powre out drinke offerings vnto her, we haue had scarcenesse of all things, and haue beene consumed by the sworde and by the famine.
Gake tso esime míedzudzɔ dzudzɔdodo na Dziƒofianyɔnu la kple ahaƒoƒo ɖe anyi nɛ la, naneke megadzea edzi na mí o, eye míele tsɔtsrɔ̃m ɖe yi kple dɔwuame ƒe asi me boŋ.”
19 And when we burnt incense to ye Queene of heauen, and powred out drinke offerings vnto her, did wee make her cakes to make her glad, and powre out drinke offerings vnto her without our husbands?
Nyɔnuawo gblɔ kpe ɖe ŋu be, “Esi míedoa dzudzɔ na Dziƒofianyɔnu la eye míeƒoa aha ɖi nɛ la, mía srɔ̃ŋutsuwo menya hã be míemea akpɔnɔ vivi si míewɔ ɖe eƒe nɔnɔme me la heƒoa aha ɖi nɛ oa?”
20 Then said Ieremiah vnto all the people, to the men, and to the women, and to all the people which had giuen him that answere, saying,
Tete Yeremia gblɔ na ameawo katã, ŋutsu kple nyɔnu siwo le nya ŋu ɖom nɛ la be,
21 Did not the Lord remember the incense, that yee burnt in the cities of Iudah, and in the streetes of Ierusalem, both you, and your fathers, your Kinges, and your princes, and the people of the land, and hath he not considered it?
“Ɖe Yehowa meɖo ŋku edzi eye wòbu dzudzɔ ʋeʋĩ si miawo ŋutɔ, mia fofowo, miaƒe fiawo, miaƒe dumegãwo kple anyigbadzitɔwo dona le Yuda duwo kple Yerusalem kpɔdomewo ŋuti oa?
22 So that the Lord could no longer forbeare, because of the wickednes of your inuentions, and because of the abominations, which ye haue committed: therefore is your lande desolate and an astonishment, and a curse and without inhabitant, as appeareth this day.
Esi Yehowa magate ŋu atsɔ miaƒe nuwɔna vɔ̃ɖiwo kple miaƒe ŋunyɔnu siwo miewɔ o ta la, miaƒe anyigba zu ɖiŋudonu, aƒedo kple gbegbe eye amewo meganɔ dzi o, abe ale si wòle egbea ene.
23 Because ye haue burnt incense and because ye haue sinned against the Lord, and haue not obeyed the voyce of the Lord, nor walked in his Lawe, nor in his statutes, nor in his testimonies, therefore this plague is come vpon you, as appeareth this day.
Esi miedo dzudzɔ ʋeʋĩ, hewɔ nu vɔ̃ ɖe Yehowa ŋu eye mieɖo toe alo wɔ eƒe sewo, ɖoɖowo kple dɔdeasiwo dzi o tae dzɔgbevɔ̃e sia va mia dzi ɖo, abe ale si miele ekpɔm egbea ene.”
24 Moreouer Ieremiah saide vnto all the people and to all the women, Heare the word of the Lord, all Iudah that are in the land of Egypt.
Emegbe Yeremia gblɔ na ameha la katã kple nyɔnuwo siaa be, “Mi Yudatɔ siwo katã le Egiptenyigba dzi, mise Yehowa ƒe nya.
25 Thus speaketh the Lord of hosts, the God of Israel, saying, Ye and your wiues haue both spoken with your mouthes, and fulfilled with your hande, saying, We will performe our vowes that we haue vowed to burne incense to the Queene of heauen, and to powre out drinke offerings to her: yee will perfourme your vowes and doe the things that yee haue vowed.
Ale Yehowa, Dziƒoʋakɔwo ƒe Aƒetɔ, Israel ƒe Mawu la gblɔe nye esi: ‘Miawo ŋutɔ kple mia srɔ̃nyɔnuwo, to miaƒe nuwɔnawo me, ɖe ŋugbe si miedo la fia, esi miegblɔ be, míawɔ adzɔgbe si míeɖe be míado dzudzɔ ʋeʋĩ, aƒo aha ɖi na Dziƒofianyɔnu la dzi godoo.’ “Eya ta, miyi edzi, miwɔ ɖe miaƒe ŋugbedodowo dzi! Milé miaƒe adzɔgbeɖeɖewo me ɖe asi!
26 Therefore heare the word of the Lord, all Iudah that dwel in the land of Egypt. Beholde, I haue sworne by my great Name, sayeth the Lord, that my Name shall no more be called vpon by the mouth of any man of Iudah, in all the lande of Egypt, saying, The Lord God liueth.
Gake mise Yehowa ƒe nya, mi Yudatɔ siwo katã le Egiptenyigba dzi: ‘Yehowa be, meta nye ŋkɔ gã la be, Yudatɔ siwo kaka ɖe Egiptenyigba dzi ƒe ɖeke magayɔ nye ŋkɔ alo aka atam be, “Meta Aƒetɔ Yehowa ƒe agbe” o,
27 Behold, I wil watch ouer them for euil and not for good, and all men of Iudah that are in the land of Egypt, shalbe consumed by the sword, and by the famine, vntill they be vtterly destroied.
elabena nye ŋku le wo ŋuti hena vɔ̃, menye nyui o. Yudatɔ siwo le Egipte la atsrɔ̃ ɖe yi kple dɔwuame ƒe asi me va se ɖe esime wo katã woavɔ.
28 Yet a small nomber that escape the sworde, shall returne out of the lande of Egypt into the lande of Iudah: and all the remnant of Iudah that are gone into the lande of Egypt to dwell there, shall know whose words shall stad, mine or theirs.
29 And this shall be a signe vnto you, saith the Lord, whe I visit you in this place, that ye may know that my words shall surely stand against you for euill.
“Yehowa be, ‘Esia anye dzesi na mi be mele to he ge na mi le teƒe sia, ale be mianya be nye atam si meka be mawɔ vɔ̃ mi la anɔ edzi godoo.’
30 Thus sayth the Lord, Beholde, I will giue Pharaoh Hophra King of Egypt into the hand of his enemies, and into the hand of them that seeke his life: as I gaue Zedekiah King of Iudah into the hand of Nebuchad-nezzar King of Babel his enemie, who also sought his life.
Ale Yehowa gblɔe nye esi: ‘Matsɔ Farao Hofra, Egipte fia ade asi na eƒe futɔ siwo le eƒe agbe yome tim, abe ale si metsɔ Yuda fia Zedekia de asi na Babilonia fia Nebukadnezar si nye eƒe futɔ si le eƒe agbe yome tim la ene.’”
