Jeremiah 41
1 But in the seuenth moneth came Ishmael the sonne of Nethaniah, the sonne of Elishama of the seede royall, and the princes of the King, and tenne men with him, vnto Gedaliah the sonne of Ahikam to Mizpah, and there they did eate bread together in Mizpah.
Mweri-inĩ wa mũgwanja Ishumaeli mũrũ wa Nethania, mũrũ wa Elishama, ũrĩa warĩ wa rũciaro rwa mũthamaki na mbere aakoretwo arĩ ũmwe wa anene a mũthamaki, nĩookire arĩ na andũ ikũmi kũrĩ Gedalia mũrũ wa Ahikamu kũu Mizipa. Na rĩrĩa maarĩ hamwe makĩrĩa-rĩ,
2 Then arose Ishmael the sonne of Nethaniah with these tenne men that were with him, and smote Gedaliah the sonne of Ahikam the sonne of Shaphan with the sword, and slewe him, whom the King of Babel had made gouernour ouer the lande.
Ishumaeli mũrũ wa Nethania hamwe na andũ acio ikũmi mokĩte nake magĩũkĩra, magĩtemanga Gedalia mũrũ wa Ahikamu, mũrũ wa Shafani na rũhiũ rwa njora, makĩũraga mũndũ ũcio mũthamaki wa Babuloni aatuĩte barũthi wa bũrũri ũcio.
3 Ishmael also slewe all the Iewes that were with Gedaliah at Mizpah, and all the Caldeans that were found there, and the men of warre.
Ishumaeli agĩcooka akĩũraga Ayahudi othe arĩa maarĩ na Gedalia kũu Mizipa, o ũndũ ũmwe na thigari cia Babuloni iria ciarĩ kuo.
4 Now the second day that he had slaine Gedaliah, and no man knewe it,
Mũthenya ũrĩa warũmĩrĩire kũũragwo kwa Gedalia, ũhoro ũcio ũtamenyetwo nĩ mũndũ-rĩ,
5 There came men from Shechem, from Shiloh, and from Samaria, euen fourescore men, hauing their beardes shauen, and their clothes rent and cut, with offerings and incense in their hands to offer in the house of the Lord.
andũ mĩrongo ĩnana meyenjete nderu, na magatembũranga nguo ciao, o na magetemanga mĩĩrĩ nĩmookire moimĩte Shekemu, na Shilo, na Samaria, marĩ na ngano ya maruta na ũbumba, magĩcirehe thĩinĩ wa nyũmba ya Jehova.
6 And Ishmael the sonne of Nethaniah went forth from Mizpah to meete them, weeping as he went: and when he met them, he said vnto them, Come to Gedaliah the sonne of Ahikam.
Ishumaeli mũrũ wa Nethania akiuma Mizipa, agĩthiĩ akĩrĩraga akamatũnge. Rĩrĩa maacemanirie akĩmeera atĩrĩ, “Ũkaai kũrĩ Gedalia mũrũ wa Ahikamu.”
7 And when they came into the middes of the citie, Ishmael the sonne of Nethaniah slewe them, and cast them into the middes of the pit, he and the men that were with him.
Rĩrĩa maatoonyire thĩinĩ wa itũũra, Ishumaeli mũrũ wa Nethania na andũ arĩa maarĩ nake, makĩmooraga, makĩmaikia irima rĩa maaĩ.
8 But tenne men were founde among them, that saide vnto Ishmael, Slay vs not: for we haue treasures in the fielde, of wheate, and of barley, and of oyle, and of honie: so he stayed, and slew them not among their brethren.

9 Now the pit wherein Ishmael had cast the dead bodies of the men (whom he had slayne because of Gedaliah) is it, which Asa the King had made because of Basha King of Israel, and Ishmael the sonne of Nethaniah filled it with them that were slaine.
Na rĩrĩ, irima rĩu aikirie ciimba cia andũ acio othe ooragĩte, hamwe na kĩimba kĩa Gedalia, rĩenjithĩtio nĩ Mũthamaki Asa rĩtuĩke kĩĩhitho gĩake rĩrĩa angĩtharĩkĩrwo nĩ Baasha mũthamaki wa Isiraeli. Ishumaeli mũrũ wa Nethania akĩrĩiyũria ciimba cia andũ acio moragĩtwo.
10 Then Ishmael caryed away captiue all the residue of the people that were in Mizpah, euen the Kings daughters, and all the people that remained in Mizpah, whom Nebuzar-adan the chiefe steward had committed to Gedaliah the sonne of Ahikam, and Ishmael the sonne of Nethaniah caried them away captiue, and departed to goe ouer to the Ammonites.
Ishumaeli nĩanyiitire mĩgwate andũ acio angĩ othe arĩa maikaraga Mizipa, akĩmataha: nao maarĩ airĩtu a mũthamaki, hamwe na andũ acio angĩ othe arĩa maatigĩtwo kuo, arĩa Nebuzaradani ũcio mũnene wa arangĩri a mũthamaki aatuĩte maroragwo nĩ Gedalia mũrũ wa Ahikamu. Ishumaeli mũrũ wa Nethania nĩamatahire akiumagara nao, agĩtuĩkania erekeire mũrĩmo wa andũ a Amoni akeeneane kũrĩ o.
11 But when Iohanan the sonne of Kareah, and all the captaines of the hoste that were with him, heard of all the euill that Ishmael the sonne of Nethaniah had done,
Rĩrĩa Johanani mũrũ wa Karea, na anene othe a mbũtũ cia ita arĩa maarĩ nake maiguire ũhoro wa ngero icio ciothe Ishumaeli mũrũ wa Nethania aagerete-rĩ,
12 Then they all tooke their men, and went to fight with Ishmael the sonne of Nethaniah, and founde him by ye great waters that are in Gibeon.
makĩoya andũ ao othe na makiumagara makarũe na Ishumaeli mũrũ wa Nethania. Nao makĩmũkorerera hakuhĩ na handũ haarĩ maaĩ maingĩ kũu Gibeoni.
13 Nowe when all the people whom Ishmael caryed away captiue, sawe Iohanan the sonne of Kareah, and all the captaines of the hoste, that were with him, they were glad.
Rĩrĩa andũ acio othe Ishumaeli aarĩ nao monire Johanani mũrũ wa Karea na anene a mbũtũ cia ita acio maarĩ nake-rĩ, othe magĩkena.
14 So all the people, that Ishmael had caryed away captiue from Mizpah, returned and came againe, and went vnto Iohanan the sonne of Kareah.
Andũ acio othe Ishumaeli aatahĩte kũu Mizipa nĩmahũndũkire, magĩthiĩ kũrĩ Johanani mũrũ wa Karea.
15 But Ishmael the sonne of Nethaniah, escaped from Iohanan with eight men, and went to the Ammonites.
Nowe Ishumaeli mũrũ wa Nethania na andũ ake anana nĩmetharire kuuma harĩ Johanani, makĩũrĩra kũrĩ andũ a Amoni.
16 Then tooke Iohanan the sonne of Kareah, and all the captaines of the hoste that were with him, all the remnant of the people, whom Ishmael the sonne of Nethaniah had caried away captiue from Mizpah, (after that he had slaine Gedaliah the sonne of Ahikam) euen the strong men of warre, and the women, and the children, and the eunuches, whom hee had brought againe from Gibeon:
Hĩndĩ ĩyo Johanani mũrũ wa Karea na anene othe a mbũtũ cia ita acio maarĩ nake, magĩtongoria arĩa othe maatigaire kuuma Mizipa, o acio aatunyanĩte harĩ Ishumaeli mũrũ wa Nethania thuutha wake kũũraga Gedalia mũrũ wa Ahikamu: Nao maarĩ thigari, na andũ-a-nja, na ciana, o na andũ arĩa mehokeirwo mawĩra ma nyũmba ya mũthamaki, arĩa aacooketie kuuma Gibeoni.
17 And they departed and dwelt in Geruth Chimham, which is by Beth-lehem, to goe and to enter into Egypt,
Nao magĩthiĩ na mbere, makĩraarĩrĩra Geruthu-Kimuhamu gũkuhĩ na Bethilehemu marĩ rũgendo-inĩ rwa gũthiĩ bũrũri wa Misiri,
18 Because of the Caldeans: for they feared them, because Ishmael ye sonne of Nethaniah had slaine Gedaliah the sonne of Ahikam, whom the King of Babel made gouernour in the land.
nĩguo moorĩre andũ a Babuloni. Nĩmetigagĩra andũ a Babuloni tondũ Ishumaeli mũrũ wa Nethania nĩooragĩte Gedalia mũrũ wa Ahikamu, ũrĩa watuĩtwo barũthi nĩ mũthamaki wa Babuloni.
