Jeremiah 41
1 But in the seuenth moneth came Ishmael the sonne of Nethaniah, the sonne of Elishama of the seede royall, and the princes of the King, and tenne men with him, vnto Gedaliah the sonne of Ahikam to Mizpah, and there they did eate bread together in Mizpah.
Und es geschah im siebenten Monat, da kam Jischmael, der Sohn Nethanjahs, des Sohnes Elischamas, vom Samen des Königtums, und die Hauptleute des Königs und zehn Männer mit ihm zu Gedaljahu, dem Sohne Achikams, nach Mizpah, und sie aßen das Brot allzumal in Mizpah.
2 Then arose Ishmael the sonne of Nethaniah with these tenne men that were with him, and smote Gedaliah the sonne of Ahikam the sonne of Shaphan with the sword, and slewe him, whom the King of Babel had made gouernour ouer the lande.
Und Jischmael, Nethanjahs Sohn, stand auf und die zehn Männer, die mit ihm waren, und schlugen Gedaljahu, den Sohn Achikams, des Sohnes Schaphans, mit dem Schwert, und er tötete ihn, den Babels König im Lande bestellt hatte;
3 Ishmael also slewe all the Iewes that were with Gedaliah at Mizpah, and all the Caldeans that were found there, and the men of warre.
Und alle Juden, die mit ihm, mit Gedaljahu, in Mizpah waren, und die Chaldäer, die dort sich fanden, die Kriegsleute, schlug Jischmael.
4 Now the second day that he had slaine Gedaliah, and no man knewe it,
Und es geschah am zweiten Tage, da er Gedaljahu getötet hatte und kein Mann es wußte,
5 There came men from Shechem, from Shiloh, and from Samaria, euen fourescore men, hauing their beardes shauen, and their clothes rent and cut, with offerings and incense in their hands to offer in the house of the Lord.
Daß achtzig Männer von Schichem, von Schilo und von Schomron kamen mit geschorenem Barte und zerrissenen Kleidern und hatten sich geritzt und hatten Speiseopfer und Weihrauch in ihrer Hand, daß sie sie brächten in Jehovahs Haus.
6 And Ishmael the sonne of Nethaniah went forth from Mizpah to meete them, weeping as he went: and when he met them, he said vnto them, Come to Gedaliah the sonne of Ahikam.
Und Jischmael, der Sohn Nethanjahs, ging heraus von Mizpah ihnen entgegen, ging daher und weinte, und als er auf sie traf, so sprach er zu ihnen: Kommt herein, zu Gedaljahu, dem Sohne Achikams.
7 And when they came into the middes of the citie, Ishmael the sonne of Nethaniah slewe them, and cast them into the middes of the pit, he and the men that were with him.
Und es geschah, da sie mitten in die Stadt kamen, schlachtete sie Jischmael, der Sohn Nethanjahs mitten in die Grube, er und die Männer, die mit ihm waren.
8 But tenne men were founde among them, that saide vnto Ishmael, Slay vs not: for we haue treasures in the fielde, of wheate, and of barley, and of oyle, and of honie: so he stayed, and slew them not among their brethren.
Zehn Männer aber fanden sich unter ihnen, und die sprachen zu Jischmael: Töte uns nicht. Wir haben Verheimlichtes in dem Feld, Weizen und Gerste und Öl und Honig. Und er hörte auf und tötete sie nicht inmitten ihrer Brüder.
9 Now the pit wherein Ishmael had cast the dead bodies of the men (whom he had slayne because of Gedaliah) is it, which Asa the King had made because of Basha King of Israel, and Ishmael the sonne of Nethaniah filled it with them that were slaine.
Und die Grube, worein Jischmael all die Leichen der Männer, die er zur Seite Gedaljahus geschlagen, warf, war die, welche König Asa wider Baascha, den König Israels, gemacht hatte; sie füllte Jischmael, der Sohn Nethanjahus, mit Erschlagenen.
10 Then Ishmael caryed away captiue all the residue of the people that were in Mizpah, euen the Kings daughters, and all the people that remained in Mizpah, whom Nebuzar-adan the chiefe steward had committed to Gedaliah the sonne of Ahikam, and Ishmael the sonne of Nethaniah caried them away captiue, and departed to goe ouer to the Ammonites.
Und Jischmael nahm gefangen all den Überrest des Volkes, das in Mizpah war, die Töchter des Königs und alles Volk, das verblieb in Mizpah, über welche Nebusaradan, der Hauptmann der Leibwachen, Gedaljahu, den Sohn Achikams, bestellt hatte. Und Jischmael, der Sohn Nethanjahs, führte sie gefangen und ging dahin, um zu den Söhnen Ammons hinüberzuziehen.
11 But when Iohanan the sonne of Kareah, and all the captaines of the hoste that were with him, heard of all the euill that Ishmael the sonne of Nethaniah had done,
Und Jochanan, der Sohn Kareachs, und alle Obersten der Streitmächte, die mit ihm waren, hörten alles das Böse, das Jischmael, Nethanjahs Sohn, getan.
12 Then they all tooke their men, and went to fight with Ishmael the sonne of Nethaniah, and founde him by ye great waters that are in Gibeon.
Und sie nahmen alle Männer und zogen hin, mit Jischmael, dem Sohn Nethanjahs, zu streiten, und fanden ihn bei dem großen Wasser zu Gibeon.
13 Nowe when all the people whom Ishmael caryed away captiue, sawe Iohanan the sonne of Kareah, and all the captaines of the hoste, that were with him, they were glad.
Und es geschah, wie alles Volk, das mit Jischmael war, Jochanan sah, den Sohn des Kareach, und alle Obersten der Streitmächte, die mit ihm waren, da wurden sie fröhlich.
14 So all the people, that Ishmael had caryed away captiue from Mizpah, returned and came againe, and went vnto Iohanan the sonne of Kareah.
Und alles Volk, das Jischmael aus Mizpah gefangen führte, wandte sich um und kehrten zurück, und gingen zu Jochanan, dem Sohn Kareachs.
15 But Ishmael the sonne of Nethaniah, escaped from Iohanan with eight men, and went to the Ammonites.
Und Jischmael, der Sohn Nethanjahs, entrann mit acht Männern vor Jochanan und ging zu den Söhnen Ammons.
16 Then tooke Iohanan the sonne of Kareah, and all the captaines of the hoste that were with him, all the remnant of the people, whom Ishmael the sonne of Nethaniah had caried away captiue from Mizpah, (after that he had slaine Gedaliah the sonne of Ahikam) euen the strong men of warre, and the women, and the children, and the eunuches, whom hee had brought againe from Gibeon:
Und Jochanan, der Sohn Kareachs, und alle Obersten der Streitmächte, die mit ihm waren, nahmen all den Überrest des Volkes, das er zurückgebracht von Jischmael, dem Sohne Nethanjahs, aus Mizpah, nachdem derselbe geschlagen den Gedaljah, den Sohn des Achikam, die Leute, die Kriegsleute und die Weiber und die Kindlein, und die Verschnittenen, die er von Gibeon zurückgebracht.
17 And they departed and dwelt in Geruth Chimham, which is by Beth-lehem, to goe and to enter into Egypt,
Und sie gingen hin und blieben in der Herberge Kimham, die neben Bethlehem ist, um hinzuziehen, um nach Ägypten zu kommen,
18 Because of the Caldeans: for they feared them, because Ishmael ye sonne of Nethaniah had slaine Gedaliah the sonne of Ahikam, whom the King of Babel made gouernour in the land.
Vor den Chaldäern; denn sie fürchteten sich vor ihnen, weil Jischmael, der Sohn Nethanjahs, Gedaljah, den Sohn Achikams, geschlagen, den der König von Babel im Lande bestellt hatte.
