Jeremiah 40
1 The worde which came to Ieremiah from the Lord after that Nebuzar-adan the chiefe stewarde had let him goe from Ramath, when hee had taken him being bound in chaines among all that were caried away captiue of Ierusalem and Iudah, which were caried away captiue vnto Babel.
Слово бывшее ко Иеремии от Господа, повнегда отпусти его Навузардан архимагир из Рамы, егда взя его связанаго путы от среды, от Иерусалима и от Иуды преселения, ведомых в Вавилон.
2 And the chiefe stewarde tooke Ieremiah, and said vnto him, The Lord thy God hath pronounced this plague vpon this place.
И взя его архимагир и рече ему: Господь Бог твой соглаголал есть злая сия на место сие:
3 Nowe the Lord hath brought it, and done according as he hath said: because ye haue sinned against the Lord, and haue not obeyed his voyce, therefore this thing is come vpon you.
и приведе, и сотвори Господь, якоже рече, зане согрешисте Ему и не послушасте гласа Его, и бысть вам глагол сей.
4 And nowe beholde, I loose thee this day from the chaines which were on thine handes, if it please thee to come with me into Babel, come, and I will looke well vnto thee: but if it please thee not to come with mee into Babel, tarie still: beholde, all the lande is before thee: whither it seemeth good, and conuenient for thee to goe, thither goe.
И се, ныне разреших тя от уз, яже на руку твоею: аще ти есть добро ити со мною в Вавилон, поиди, и положу очи мои на тя: аще же ни, остани зде: се, вся земля пред лицем твоим есть: что изволиши, и аможе восхощеши ити, тамо иди:
5 For yet he was not returned: therefore he said, Returne to Gedaliah the sonne of Ahikam, the sonne of Shaphan, whom the King of Babel hath made gouernour ouer all the cities of Iudah, and dwell with him among the people, or goe wheresoeuer it pleaseth thee to goe. So the chiefe stewarde gaue him vitailes and a rewarde, and let him goe.
и возвратися ко Годолии, сыну Ахикамову, сыну Сафаню, егоже постави царь Вавилонский в земли Иудине, и живи с ним среде людий, во всех благих пред очима твоима, еже ходити, и ходи. И даде ему архимагир пищу и дары и отпусти его.
6 Then went Ieremiah vnto Gedaliah the sonne of Ahikam, to Mizpah, and dwelt there with him among the people that were left in the lande.
И прииде Иеремиа ко Годолии сыну Ахмикамову в Массифаф и седе среде людий своих оставшихся на земли.
7 Nowe when all the captaines of the hoste, which were in the fieldes, euen they and their men heard, that the King of Babel had made Gedaliah the sonne of Ahikam gouernour in the land, and that he had committed vnto him, men, and women, and children, and of the poore of the lande, that were not caried away captiue to Babel,
И егда услышаша вси воеводы силы яже на селе, тии и силы их, яко поставил есть царь Вавилонский Годолию сына Ахикамова (властелина) над землею, и яко предаде ему мужы и жены и дети, и от убогих земли, иже не преведени быша в Вавилон:
8 Then they came to Gedaliah to Mizpah, euen Ishmael the sonne of Nethaniah, and Iohanan, and Ionathan the sonnes of Kareah, and Seraiah the sonne of Tanehumeth, and the sonnes of Ephai, the Netophathite, and Iezaniah the sonne of Maachathi, they and their men.
приидоша ко Годолии в Массифаф Исмаил сын Нафаниин и Иоанан, и Ионафан сын Кариев и Сареа сын Фанаемефов, и сынове Офи, иже беша из Нетофафы, и Иезониа сын Махафы, тии и мужие их.
9 And Gedaliah the sonne of Ahikam, the sonne of Shaphan sware vnto them, and to their men, saying, Feare not to serue the Caldeans: dwell in the lande, and serue the King of Babel, and it shall be well with you.
И клятся им Годолиа и мужем их, глаголя: не убойтеся от лица отрок Халдейских: вселитеся на земли и служите царю Вавилонску, и лучше вам будет:
10 As for me, Beholde, I will dwell at Mizpah to serue the Caldeans, which will come vnto vs: but you, gather you wine, and sommer fruites, and oyle, and put them in your vessels, and dwell in your cities, that ye haue taken.
и се, аз сежу в Массифафе, стати противу лицу Халдейску, иже аще приидут на вас: вы же соберите вино и овощь, и соберите масло, и влийте в сосуды своя, и вселитеся во грады, яже удержасте.
11 Likewise when all the Iewes that were in Moab, and among the Ammonites, and in Edom, and that were in all the countries, heard that the King of Babel had left a remnant of Iudah, and that he had set ouer them Gedaliah the sonne of Ahikam the sonne of Shaphan,
И вси Иудее, иже в земли Моавли и в сынех Аммоних, и иже во Идумеи и иже во всей земли, услышаша, яко дал есть царь Вавилонский останок во Иуде и яко поставил есть над ними Годолию сына Ахикамова, сына Сафанова.
12 Euen all the Iewes returned out of all places where they were driuen, and came to the land of Iudah to Gedaliah vnto Mizpah, and gathered wine and sommer fruites, very much.
И приидоша вси Иудее от всех мест, в няже бяху убегли, и приидоша ко Годолии в землю Иудину в Массифаф, и собраша вино и овощь и масло много зело.
13 Moreouer Iohanan the sonne of Kareah, and all the captaines of the hoste, that were in the fieldes, came to Gedaliah to Mizpah,
Иоанан же сын Кариев и вси воеводы силы, иже на селех, приидоша ко Годолии в Массифаф
14 And said vnto him, Knowest thou not that Baalis the King of the Ammonites hath sent Ishmael the sonne of Nethaniah to slay thee? But Gedaliah the sonne of Ahikam beleeued them not.
и рекоша ему: веси ли, яко Велиса царь сынов Аммоних посла к тебе Исмаила сына Нафаниева поразити душу твою? И не верова им Годолиа сын Ахикамль.
15 Then Iohanan the sonne of Kareah spake to Gedaliah in Mizpah secretly, saying, Let me goe, I pray thee, and I will slay Ishmael the sonne of Nethaniah, and no man shall know it. Wherefore should he kill thee, that all the Iewes, which are gathered vnto thee, shoulde be scattered, and the remnant in Iudah perish?
Иоанан же сын Кариев рече ко Годолии отай в Массифафе, глаголя: да иду убо и побию Исмаила, сына Нафаниина: и никтоже да увесть, да не како поразит душу твою, и разсыплется весь Иуда собраный к тебе, и погибнет останок Иудин.
16 But Gedaliah the sonne of Ahikam said vnto Iohanan the sonne of Kareah, Thou shalt not doe this thing: for thou speakest falsely of Ishmael.
И рече Годолиа ко Иоанану сыну Кариеву: не сотвори дела сего, яко лжу ты глаголеши на Исмаила.
