Jeremiah 39
1 In the ninth yeere of Zedekiah King of Iudah in the tenth moneth, came Nebuchad-nezzar King of Babel and all his hoste against Ierusalem, and they besieged it.
Y aconteció que cuando Jerusalén fue tomada, en el noveno año de Sedequías, rey de Judá, en el mes décimo, Nabucodonosor, rey de Babilonia, con todo su ejército, se acercó a Jerusalén y la sitió por todos lados.
2 And in the eleuenth yeere of Zedekiah in the fourth moneth, the ninth day of the moneth, the citie was broken vp.
En el undécimo año de Sedequías, en el cuarto mes, en el noveno día del mes, la ciudad fue asaltada.
3 And all the princes of the King of Babel came in, and sate in the middle gate, euen Neregal, Sharezer, Samgar-nebo, Sarsechim, Rab-saris, Neregal, Sharezer, Rab-mag with all the residue of the princes of the King of Babel.
Todos los capitanes del rey de Babilonia entraron y tomaron sus lugares en la puerta central de la ciudad, Nergal-sarezer, gobernante de Samgar-nebo, Sarsequim, el Rabmag, el Rabsaris, y Todos los capitanes del rey de Babilonia.
4 And when Zedekiah the King of Iudah saw them, and all the men of warre, then they fled, and went out of the citie by night, through the Kings garden, and by the gate betweene the two walles, and he went toward the wildernes.
Y cuando lo vio Sedequías, rey de Judá, y todos los hombres de guerra, salieron huyendo del pueblo por la noche, por el camino del jardín del rey, a través de la puerta entre los dos muros, fuera por el Araba.
5 But the Caldeans hoste pursued after them, and ouertooke Zedekiah in the desart of Iericho: and when they had taken him, they brought him to Nebuchad-nezzar King of Babel vnto Riblah in the land of Hamath, where he gaue iudgement vpon him.
Pero el ejército de los caldeos fue tras ellos y alcanzó a Sedequías en las tierras bajas de Jericó. Lo hicieron prisionero y lo llevaron hasta Nabucodonosor, rey de Babilonia, a Ribla en la tierra de Hamat, para ser juzgado por él.
6 Then the King of Babel slewe the sonnes of Zedekiah in Riblah before his eyes: also the King of Babel slewe all the nobles of Iudah.
Entonces el rey de Babilonia mató a los hijos de Sedequías ante sus ojos en Ribla; y el rey de Babilonia mató a todos los hombres nobles de Judá.
7 Moreouer he put out Zedekiahs eyes, and bound him in chaines, to cary him to Babel.
Y más que esto, sacó los ojos de Sedequías, y lo puso encadenado para llevarlo a Babilonia.
8 And the Caldeans burnt the Kings house, and the houses of the people with fire, and brake downe the walles of Ierusalem.
Y los caldeos prendieron fuego a la casa del rey, así como a las casas de la gente, y derribaron los muros de Jerusalén.
9 Then Nebuzar-adan the chiefe stewarde caried away captiue into Babel the remnant of the people, that remained in the citie, and those that were fled and fallen vnto him, with the rest of the people that remained.
Entonces Nebuzaradán, el capitán de los hombres armados, se llevó a Babilonia como prisioneros, a todos los demás trabajadores que aún estaban en la ciudad, a los que se habían entregado a él, y a todos los demás de la gente.
10 But Nebuzar-adan the chiefe steward left the poore that had nothing in the land of Iudah, and gaue them vineyards and fieldes at the same time.
Pero Nabuzaradán, el capitán de la armada real, dejó que los más pobres de la gente, que no tenían nada, siguieran viviendo en la tierra de Judá, y les dieran huertas y campos al mismo tiempo.
11 Nowe Nebuchad-nezzar King of Babel gaue charge concerning Ieremiah vnto Nebuzar-adan the chiefe stewarde, saying,
Entonces Nabucodonosor, rey de Babilonia, dio órdenes acerca de Jeremías a Nabuzaradán, el capitán de los hombres armados, diciendo:
12 Take him, and looke well to him, and doe him no harme, but doe vnto him euen as he shall say vnto thee.
Tómalo, cuídalo y ve que no lo traten mal; Pero dale todo lo que te pida.
13 So Nebuzar-adan the chiefe steward sent, and Nebushazban, Rabsaris, and Neregal, Sharezar, Rab-mag, and all the King of Babels princes:
Entonces Nabuzaradán, el capitán de la armada real, envió a Nebusaban, a Rab-saris, a Nergal-sarezer, a Rabmag y a todos los principales capitanes del rey de Babilonia.
14 Euen they sent, and tooke Ieremiah out of the court of the prison, and committed him vnto Gedaliah the sonne of Ahikam the sonne of Shaphan, that he should cary him home: so he dwelt among the people.
Entonces enviaron y sacaron a Jeremías del lugar de los vigilantes, y lo entregaron al cuidado de Gedalías, hijo de Ahicam, hijo de Safán, para que lo llevara a su casa; y así se quedó a vivir en él pueblo.
15 Now the worde of the Lord came vnto Ieremiah, while he was shut vp in the court of the prison, saying,
Entonces la palabra del Señor vino a Jeremías mientras estaba encerrado en el patio de vigilantes armados, diciendo:
16 Go and speake to Ebed-melech the blacke More, saying, Thus saith the Lord of hostes the God of Israel, Beholde, I wil bring my wordes vpon this citie for euill, and not for good, and they shalbe accomplished in that day before thee.
Ve y dile a Ebed-melec el etíope: Esto es lo que ha dicho el Señor de los ejércitos, el Dios de Israel: Mira, mis palabras se harán realidad para este pueblo, para el mal y no para el bien; cuando esto suceda, tú estarás presente.
17 But I wil deliuer thee in that day, saith the Lord, and thou shalt not be giuen into the hand of the men whome thou fearest.
Pero te mantendré a salvo ese día, dice el Señor: no serás entregado en manos de los hombres que temes.
18 For I will surely deliuer thee, and thou shalt not fall by the sworde, but thy life shall be for a praye vnto thee, because thou hast put thy trust in me, sayth the Lord.
Porque ciertamente te dejaré en libertad, y no serás juzgado, podrás escapar con vida, porque has puesto tu fe en mí, dice el Señor.
