Jeremiah 36
1 And in the fourth yeere of Iehoiakim the sonne of Iosiah King of Iudah, came this word vnto Ieremiah from the Lord, saying,
Im vierten Jahre Jojakims, des Sohnes Josias, des Königs von Juda, erging dieses Wort vom HERRN an Jeremia.
2 Take thee a roule or booke, and write therein all the wordes that I haue spoken to thee against Israel, and against Iudah, and against all the nations, from the day that I spake vnto thee, euen from the dayes of Iosiah vnto this day.
Nimm dir eine Buchrolle und schreibe alle Worte darauf, die ich zu dir geredet habe über Israel und über Juda und über alle Völker, von dem Tage an, da ich zu dir geredet habe, von den Tagen Josias an bis auf diesen Tag!
3 It may bee that the House of Iudah will heare of all the euill, which I determined to doe vnto them that they may returne euery man from his euil way, that I may forgiue their iniquitie and their sinnes.
Vielleicht werden die vom Hause Juda auf all das Unglück hören, das ich ihnen anzutun gedenke, und umkehren, ein jeder von seinem bösen Wege, so daß ich ihnen ihre Missetaten und ihre Sünden vergeben kann.
4 Then Ieremiah called Baruch the sonne of Neriah, and Baruch wrote at the mouth of Ieremiah all the wordes of the Lord, which hee had spoken vnto him, vpon a roule or booke.
Da rief Jeremia den Baruch, den Sohn Nerijas, und Baruch schrieb, wie Jeremia es ihm vorsagte, alle Worte des HERRN, die er zu ihm geredet hatte, auf eine Buchrolle.
5 And Ieremiah commanded Baruch, saying, I am shut vp, and can not go into the House of the Lord.
Und Jeremia befahl dem Baruch und sprach: Ich bin verhindert, so daß ich nicht in das Haus des HERRN gehen kann;
6 Therefore goe thou, and reade the roule wherein thou hast written at my mouth the words of the Lord in the audience of the people in the Lordes House vpon the fasting day: also thou shalt reade them in the hearing of all Iudah, that come out of their cities.
darum gehe du hinein und lies aus der Rolle vor, was du, wie ich es dir vorsagte, aufgeschrieben hast, die Worte des HERRN, vor den Ohren des Volkes, im Hause des HERRN am Fasttag; auch vor den Ohren aller Juden, die aus ihren Städten kommen, sollst du sie lesen.
7 It may be that they will pray before the Lord, and euery one returne from his euill way, for great is the anger and the wrath, that the Lord hath declared against this people.
Vielleicht wird ihr Flehen vor dem Angesicht des HERRN gelten und sie werden umkehren, ein jeder von seinem bösen Wege; denn groß ist der Zorn und Grimm, welchen der HERR wider dieses Volk ausgesprochen hat.
8 So Baruch the sonne of Neriah did according vnto all, that Ieremiah the Prophet commanded him, reading in the booke the wordes of the Lord in the Lords House.
Da tat Baruch, der Sohn Nerijas, ganz so, wie ihm der Prophet Jeremia befohlen hatte, indem er im Hause des HERRN aus dem Buche die Worte des HERRN vorlas.
9 And in the fift yeere of Iehoiakim the sonne of Iosiah King of Iudah, in the ninth moneth, they proclaimed a fast before the Lord to all the people in Ierusalem, and to all the people that came from the cities of Iudah vnto Ierusalem.
Es begab sich nämlich im fünften Jahre Jojakims, des Sohnes Josias, des Königs von Juda, im neunten Monat, daß man die ganze Bevölkerung von Jerusalem und alles Volk, das aus den Städten Judas nach Jerusalem kam, zu einem Fasten vor dem HERRN berief.
10 Then read Baruch in the booke the wordes of Ieremiah in the house of the Lord, in the chamber of Gemariah the sonne of Shaphan the secretarie, in the hier court at the entrie of the new gate of the Lordes house, in the hearing of all the people.
Da las Baruch aus dem Buch die Reden Jeremias im Hause des HERRN, in der Halle Gemarjas, des Sohnes Saphans, des Staatsschreibers, im obern Vorhof, am Eingang des neuen Tores des Hauses des HERRN, vor den Ohren des ganzen Volkes.
11 When Michaiah the sonne of Gemariah, the sonne of Shaphan had heard out of the booke all the wordes of the Lord,
Als aber Michaja, der Sohn Gemarjas, des Sohnes Saphans, alle Worte des HERRN aus dem Buche gehört hatte,
12 Then hee went downe to the Kings house into the Chancellours chamber, and loe, all the princes sate there, euen Elishama the Chancellour, and Delaiah the sonne of Shemaiah, and Elnathan the sonne of Achbor, and Gemariah the sonne of Shaphan, and Zedekiah the sonne of Hananiah, and all the princes.
ging er in das Haus des Königs, in die Kanzlei hinab; und siehe, da saßen alle Fürsten, nämlich Elisama, der Kanzler, Delaja, der Sohn Semajas, Elnatan, der Sohn Achbors, Gemarja, der Sohn Saphans, Zedekia, der Sohn Hananjas, und alle Fürsten.
13 Then Michaiah declared vnto them all the wordes that he had heard when Baruch read in the booke in the audience of the people.
Da verkündigte ihnen Michaja alle Reden, die er gehört hatte, als Baruch vor den Ohren des Volkes aus dem Buche vorlas.
14 Therefore all the princes sent Iehudi the sonne of Nethaniah, the sonne of Shelemiah, the sonne of Chushi, vnto Baruch, saying, Take in thine hande the roule, wherein thou hast read in the audience of the people, and come. So Baruch the sonne of Neriah, tooke the roule in his hand, and came vnto them.
Da sandten alle Fürsten Jehudi, den Sohn Netanjas, des Sohnes Selemjas, des Sohnes Chusis, zu Baruch und ließen ihm sagen: Nimm die Rolle aus welcher du vor den Ohren des Volkes gelesen hast, zur Hand und komm! Da nahm Baruch, der Sohn Nerijas, die Rolle in seine Hand und kam zu ihnen.
15 And they saide vnto him, Sit downe now, and reade it, that we may heare. So Baruch read it in their audience.
Da sprachen sie zu ihm: Setze dich und lies sie vor unsern Ohren. Also las Baruch vor ihren Ohren.
16 Now when they had heard all the wordes, they were afraid both one and other, and said vnto Baruch, We will certifie the King of all these wordes.
Als sie nun alle Reden gehört hatten, sahen sie einander erschrocken an und sprachen zu Baruch: Wir müssen dem König alle diese Reden kundtun.
17 And they examined Baruch, saying, Tell vs nowe, howe diddest thou write all these wordes at his mouth?
Und sie fragten Baruch und sprachen: Sage uns doch, wie hast du alle diese Reden aus seinem Munde aufgeschrieben?
18 Then Baruch answered them, He pronounced all these wordes vnto me with his mouth, and I wrote them with ynke in the booke.
Da antwortete ihnen Baruch: Er sagte mir alle diese Reden mündlich vor, und ich schrieb sie mit Tinte in das Buch.
19 Then saide the princes vnto Baruch, Goe, hide thee, thou and Ieremiah, and let no man knowe where ye be.
Da sprachen die Fürsten zu Baruch: Gehe hin und verbirg dich mit Jeremia, daß niemand wisse, wo ihr seid!
20 And they went in to the King to the court, but they layde vp the roule in the chamber of Elishama the Chancellour and tolde the King all the wordes, that he might heare.
Und sie gingen in den Hof zum König, nachdem sie die Rolle in der Kanzlei Elisamas, des Kanzlers, niedergelegt hatten, und verkündigten vor den Ohren des Königs alles, was vorgefallen war.
21 So the King sent Iehudi to fet the roule, and he tooke it out of Elishama the Chancellours chamber, and Iehudi read it in the audience of the King, and in the audience of all the princes, which stoode beside the King.
Da sandte der König den Jehudi, um die Rolle abzuholen. Derselbe brachte sie aus dem Gemach Elisamas, des Schreibers, und Jehudi las sie vor den Ohren des Königs und vor den Ohren aller Fürsten, die bei dem König standen.
22 Nowe the King sate in the winter House, in the ninth moneth, and there was a fire burning before him.
Der König aber saß im Winterhause (denn es war im neunten Monat), und der Kohlentopf brannte vor ihm.
23 And when Iehudi had read three, or foure sides, hee cut it with the penknife and cast it into the fire, that was on the hearth vntil all the roule was consumed in the fire, that was on the hearth.
Wenn nun Jehudi drei oder vier Spalten gelesen hatte, schnitt er sie mit dem Schreibmesser heraus und warf sie in das Feuer, das im Kohlentopf war, bis die ganze Rolle im Feuer des Kohlentopfes verbrannt war.
24 Yet they were not afraide, nor rent their garmets, neither the King, nor any of his seruants, that heard all these wordes.
Und es war niemand, der darüber erschrak oder sein Kleid zerriß, weder der König noch alle seine Diener, wiewohl sie alle diese Reden gehört hatten.
25 Neuerthelesse, Elnathan, and Delaiah, and Gemariah had besought the King, that he would not burne ye roule: but he would not heare them.
Doch baten Elnathan, Delaja und Gemarja den König, die Rolle nicht zu verbrennen; aber er hörte nicht auf sie.
26 But the King commanded Ierahmeel the sonne of Hammelech, and Seraiah the sonne of Azriel, and Shelemiah the sonne of Abdiel, to take Baruch the scribe, and Ieremiah the Prophet, but the Lord hid them.
Und der König befahl dem Königssohne Jerachmeel, Seraja, dem Sohne Asriels, und Selemja, dem Sohne Abdeels, den Schreiber Baruch und den Propheten Jeremia gefangen zu nehmen. Aber der HERR hielt sie verborgen.
27 Then the word of the Lord came to Ieremiah (after that the King had burnt the roule and the words which Baruch wrote at the mouth of Ieremiah) saying,
Nachdem nun der König die Rolle mit den Reden, welche Baruch nach dem Diktat Jeremias geschrieben, verbrannt hatte, erging das Wort des HERRN an Jeremia also:
28 Take thee againe another roule and write in it all ye former words that were in the first roule which Iehoiakim the King of Iudah hath burnt,
Nimm dir eine andere Rolle und schreibe darauf alle früheren Reden, die auf der ersten Rolle geschrieben standen, welche Jojakim, der König von Juda, verbrannt hat.
29 And thou shalt say to Iehoiakim King of Iudah, Thus saith the Lord, Thou hast burnt this roule, saying, Why hast thou written therein, saying, that the King of Babel shall certainly come and destroye this land, and shall take thence both man and beast?
Und über Jojakim, den König von Juda, sage: So spricht der HERR: Du hast diese Rolle verbrannt, indem du sprachst: Warum hast du hineingeschrieben, daß der König von Babel gewiß kommen und dieses Land verwüsten und Menschen und Vieh daraus vertilgen werde?
30 Therefore thus saith the Lord of Iehoiakim King of Iudah, Hee shall haue none to sit vpon the throne of Dauid, and his dead body shall be cast out in the day to the heate, and in the night to the frost.
Darum spricht der HERR von Jojakim, dem König von Juda also: Er soll keinen [Nachkommen] haben, der auf dem Throne Davids sitze. Sein Leichnam soll hinausgeworfen werden, so daß bei Tag die Hitze und bei Nacht der Frost ihn treffe.
31 And I will visite him and his seede, and his seruants for their iniquitie, and I will bring vpon them, and vpon the inhabitants of Ierusalem, and vpon the men of Iudah all the euil that I haue pronounced against them: but they would not heare.
Und ich will seine und seiner Nachkommen und seiner Knechte Bosheit heimsuchen; ich will auch über sie, über die Bewohner von Jerusalem und über die Männer von Juda alles Unglück bringen, das ich ihnen angedroht habe, und von dem sie nichts hören wollten!
32 Then tooke Ieremiah another roule, and gaue it Baruch the scribe the sonne of Neriah, which wrote therein at the mouth of Ieremiah all the wordes of the booke which Iehoiakim King of Iudah had burnt in the fire, and there were added besides them many like wordes.
Da nahm Jeremia eine andere Rolle und gab sie dem Schreiber Baruch, dem Sohne Nerijas; der schrieb, wie Jeremia es ihm vorsagte, alle Worte hinein, welche im Buche gestanden hatten, welches Jojakim, der König von Juda, im Feuer verbrannt hatte; und es wurden zu denselben noch viele andere gleichartige Reden hinzugefügt.
