Jeremiah 27

1 In the beginning of the reigne of Iehoiakim the sonne of Iosiah King of Iudah came this worde vnto Ieremiah from the Lord, saying,

Im vierten Jahre der Regierung des Judakönigs Sedekias, des Josiassohnes, erging das Wort des Herrn an Jeremias:

2 Thus saith the Lord to me, Make thee bonds, and yokes, and put them vpon thy necke,

So sprach der Herr zu mir: "Verschaff dir Stricke und Jochhölzer und leg sie auf den Hals!

3 And send them to the King of Edom, and to the King of Moab, and to the King of the Ammonites, and to the King of Tyrus, and to the king of Zidon, by the hande of the messengers which come to Ierusale vnto Zedekiah ye king of Iudah,

Dann schicke etliche davon an Edoms und an Moabs König und an den Ammoniterkönig, an Sidons König und an den von Tyrus, durch Gesandte, die den Juda König Sedekias in Jerusalem besuchen!

4 And commande them to saye vnto their masters, Thus saith the Lord of hostes the God of Israel, Thus shall ye say vnto your masters,

Trag ihnen auf, daß ihren Herrn sie folgendes berichten: 'So spricht der Herr der Heerscharen, Gott Israels: So sollt ihr euren Herren sagen:

5 I haue made the earth, the man, and the beast that are vpon the groud, by my great power, and by my outstreched arme, and haue giuen it vnto whom it pleased me.

"Ich schuf die Erde und die Menschen und das Vieh auf Erden durch meine große Kraft und schenkte sie an den, der mir gefiel.

6 But nowe I haue giuen all these landes into the hand of Nebuchad-nezzar the King of Babel my seruant, and the beastes of the fielde haue I also giuen him to serue him.

So schenk ich jetzt all diese Länder dem Babelkönig, Nebukadrezar, meinem Diener, und selbst das Wild des Feldes schenk ich ihm zu seinen Diensten. Die Völker sollen alle dienstbar sein

7 And all nations shall serue him, and his sonne, and his sonnes sonne vntill the very time of his lande come also: then many nations and great Kinges shall serue themselues of him.

ihm, seinem Sohn und Enkel, bis auch die Zeit für sein Land kommt und starke Völker, große Könige ihn dienstbar machen.

8 And the nation and kingdome which will not serue the same Nebuchad-nezzar king of Babel, and that will not put their necke vnder the yoke of the King of Babel, the same nation will I visite, saith the Lord, with the sworde, and with the famine, and with the pestilence, vntill I haue wholy giuen them into his hands.

Das Volk und Reich, das nicht dem Babelkönig Nebukadrezar dienen will und seinen Hals nicht in das Joch des Babelkönigs steckt, dies Volk bestrafe ich mit Schwert, mit Hunger und mit Pest", ein Spruch des Herrn, "bis ich's durch ihn vernichtet habe."

9 Therefore heare not your prophets nor your southsayers, nor your dreamers, nor your inchanters, nor your sorcerers, which say vnto you thus, Ye shall not serue the King of Babel.

Ihr aber, hört doch nicht auf eure Propheten, Wahrsager, Traumausleger, Zeichendeuter, Zauberer, die euch verkünden: 'Dient nicht dem Babelkönig!'

10 For they prophecie a lie vnto you to cause you to goe farre from your lande, and that I should cast you out, and you should perish.

Denn Lüge prophezeien sie; so kommt's dahin, daß sie um euer Land euch bringen, daß ich euch wegschleppe zu eurem Untergang.

11 But the nation that put their neckes vnder the yoke of the King of Babel, and serue him, those wil I let remaine stil in their owne land, saith the Lord, and they shall occupie it, and dwel therein.

Das Volk indes, das seinen Hals ins Joch des Babelkönigs steckt zu seinem Dienst, das lasse ich in seinem Lande.' Ein Spruch des Herrn. 'Es soll das Land bebauen und bewohnen.'"

12 I spake also to Zedekiah king of Iudah according to all these wordes, saying, Put your neckes vnder the yoke of the King of Babel, and serue him and his people, that ye may liue.

Das gleiche sagte ich zu Judas König Sedekias: "Ins Joch des Babelkönigs stecket eure Hälse! Ihm dient und seinem Volke! Darin bleibet ihr am Leben.

13 Why will ye dye, thou, and thy people by the sworde, by the famine, and by the pestilence, as the Lord hath spoken against the nation, that will not serue the King of Babel?

Warum wollt ihr denn sterben, du und dein Volk, durch Schwert, durch Hunger und durch Pest? Hat solches doch der Herr dem Volke angedroht, das nicht dem Babelkönig dienen will.

14 Therefore heare not the words of the prophets, that speake vnto you, saying, Ye shall not serue the King of Babel: for they prophecie a lie vnto you.

Hört nicht auf der Propheten Reden, die also zu euch sprechen: 'Ihr müßt dem Babelkönige nicht dienen'! Denn Lügen prophezein sie euch.

15 For I haue not sent them, saith the Lord, yet they prophecie a lie in my name, that I might cast you out, and that ye might perish, both you, and the prophets that prophecie vnto you.

'Denn ich habe sie nicht gesandt', ein Spruch des Herrn, 'und Lügen prophezeien sie in meinem Namen, damit ich euch versprenge und die Seher, die euch prophezeien.'"

16 Also I spake to the Priests, and to all this people, saying, Thus saith the Lord, Heare not the wordes of your prophets that prophecie vnto you, saying, Behold, the vessels of the house of the Lord shall nowe shortly be brought againe from Babel, for they prophecie a lie vnto you.

Den Priestern aber sagte ich sowie dem ganzen Volke: "So spricht der Herr: Auf eurer Seher Reden höret nicht, die so euch prophezeien: 'In aller Bälde werden die Geräte für das Haus des Herrn zurückgebracht aus Babel'. Nur Lüge prophezein sie euch.

17 Heare them not, but serue the King of Babel, that ye may liue: wherefore shoulde this citie be desolate?

Hört nicht auf sie! Dem Babelkönig dienet! Dann bleibet ihr am Leben. Warum soll diese Stadt zur Wüste werden?

18 But if they be Prophets, and if the word of the Lord be with them, let them intreate the Lord of hostes, that the vessels, which are left in the House of the Lord, and in the house of the King of Iudah, and at Ierusalem, go not to Babel.

Sind sie jedoch Propheten, steht ihnen zu Gebot das Wort des Herrn, dann mögen sie zum Herrn der Heeresscharen flehen, daß die Geräte, die im Haus des Herrn und in dem Haus des Judakönigs und in Jerusalem vorhanden, nicht nach Babel kommen.

19 For thus saith the Lord of hostes, concerning the pillars, and concerning the sea, and concerning the bases, and concerning the residue of the vessels that remaine in this citie,

Denn solches spricht der Herr der Heerscharen von Säulen, Meer und Stühlen, vom Reste der Geräte, die in dieser Stadt verbleiben,

20 Which Nebuchad-nezzar King of Babel tooke not, when he caryed away captiue Ieconiah the sonne of Iehoiakim King of Iudah from Ierusalem to Babel, with all the nobles of Iudah and Ierusalem.

und die der Babelkönig Nebukadrezar noch nicht weggeführt. Den Jojachin, den Sohn des Jojakim, den Herrscher über Juda, verschleppte er nach Babel aus Jerusalem, samt allen Edlen Judas und Jerusalems.

21 For thus saith the Lord of hostes the God of Israel, concerning the vessels that remaine in the House of the Lord, and in the house of the King of Iudah, and at Ierusalem,

So spricht der Herr der Heerscharen, Gott Israels, jetzt über die im Haus des Herrn verbliebenen Geräte und über die im Haus des Königs über Juda und Jerusalem:

22 They shall be brought to Babel, and there they shalbe vntil the day that I visite them, saith the Lord: then will I bring them vp, and restore them vnto this place.

'Nach Babel werden sie gebracht. Dort bleiben sie bis zu dem Tag, da ich sie aufsuche', ein Spruch des Herrn, 'und wieder herfahre und sie an diesen Ort verbringe.'"
