Jeremiah 27
1 In the beginning of the reigne of Iehoiakim the sonne of Iosiah King of Iudah came this worde vnto Ieremiah from the Lord, saying,
যিহূদার রাজা যোশিয়ের পুত্র সিদিকিয়ের রাজত্বের প্রথমদিকে, সদাপ্রভুর কাছ থেকে যিরমিয়ের কাছে এই বাক্য উপস্থিত হল:
2 Thus saith the Lord to me, Make thee bonds, and yokes, and put them vpon thy necke,
সদাপ্রভু আমাকে এই কথা বললেন: “তুমি চামড়ার ফালি ও কাঠের দণ্ড দিয়ে একটি জোয়াল তৈরি করো এবং তা তোমার ঘাড়ে রাখো।
3 And send them to the King of Edom, and to the King of Moab, and to the King of the Ammonites, and to the King of Tyrus, and to the king of Zidon, by the hande of the messengers which come to Ierusale vnto Zedekiah ye king of Iudah,
তারপর জেরুশালেমে যিহূদার রাজা সিদিকিয়ের কাছে আসা ইদোম, মোয়াব, অম্মোন, টায়ার ও সীদোনের প্রতিনিধিদের কাছে এই বার্তা পাঠও।
4 And commande them to saye vnto their masters, Thus saith the Lord of hostes the God of Israel, Thus shall ye say vnto your masters,
তাদের মনিবদের জন্য এই বার্তা পাঠিয়ে তাদের বলো, ‘বাহিনীগণের সদাপ্রভু, ইস্রায়েলের ঈশ্বর এই কথা বলেন: “তোমরা তোমাদের মনিবদের কাছে গিয়ে এই কথা বলো:
5 I haue made the earth, the man, and the beast that are vpon the groud, by my great power, and by my outstreched arme, and haue giuen it vnto whom it pleased me.
আমার মহাপরাক্রম ও প্রসারিত বাহু দ্বারা আমি পৃথিবী, তার অধিবাসী ও তার উপরে স্থিত পশুদের সৃষ্টি করেছি। আমি যাকে যা দেওয়া উপযুক্ত মনে করেছি, তাকে তা দিয়েছি।
6 But nowe I haue giuen all these landes into the hand of Nebuchad-nezzar the King of Babel my seruant, and the beastes of the fielde haue I also giuen him to serue him.
এখন আমি তোমাদের সব দেশকে, আমার সেবক, ব্যাবিলনের রাজা নেবুখাদনেজারকে দেব; আমি বন্য পশুদেরও তার বশ্যতাধীন করব।
7 And all nations shall serue him, and his sonne, and his sonnes sonne vntill the very time of his lande come also: then many nations and great Kinges shall serue themselues of him.
সব জাতি তার, তার পুত্র ও তার পৌত্রের সেবা করবে, যতদিন না তাদের সময় সম্পূর্ণ হয়; তারপর বহু জাতি ও মহান রাজারা তাকে তাদের আয়ত্তাধীনে আনবে।”’
8 And the nation and kingdome which will not serue the same Nebuchad-nezzar king of Babel, and that will not put their necke vnder the yoke of the King of Babel, the same nation will I visite, saith the Lord, with the sworde, and with the famine, and with the pestilence, vntill I haue wholy giuen them into his hands.
“‘“কিন্তু, কোনো জাতি বা রাজ্য যদি ব্যাবিলনের রাজা নেবুখাদনেজারের সেবা না করে কিংবা তার জোয়ালের নিচে কাঁধ না দেয়, আমি তরোয়াল, দুর্ভিক্ষ ও মহমারীর দ্বারা সেই জাতিকে শাস্তি দেব, সদাপ্রভু এই কথা বলেন, যতক্ষণ না সেই জাতিকে আমি তার হাত দিয়ে ধ্বংস করি।
9 Therefore heare not your prophets nor your southsayers, nor your dreamers, nor your inchanters, nor your sorcerers, which say vnto you thus, Ye shall not serue the King of Babel.
তাই তোমাদের ভাববাদীদের, তোমাদের গণকদের, তোমাদের স্বপ্ন অনুবাদকদের, তোমাদের প্রেতমাধ্যম ও তোমাদের জাদুকরদের কথা তোমরা শুনবে না, যারা বলে, ‘তোমাদের ব্যাবিলনের রাজার সেবা করতে হবে না।’
10 For they prophecie a lie vnto you to cause you to goe farre from your lande, and that I should cast you out, and you should perish.
তারা তোমাদের কাছে মিথ্যা ভাববাণী বলে, যার ফলে তা কেবলমাত্র তোমাদের স্বদেশ থেকে দূরে অপসারিত করবে; আমি তোমাদের নির্বাসিত করব ও তোমরা বিনষ্ট হবে।
11 But the nation that put their neckes vnder the yoke of the King of Babel, and serue him, those wil I let remaine stil in their owne land, saith the Lord, and they shall occupie it, and dwel therein.
কিন্তু কোনো জাতি যদি ব্যাবিলনের রাজার জোয়ালের নিচে কাঁধ পাতে ও তাঁর সেবা করে, সেই দেশকে আমি স্বস্থানে থাকতে দেব, তারা তা কর্ষণ ও চাষ করে সেখানে বসবাস করতে পারবে, সদাপ্রভু এই কথা বলেন।”’”
12 I spake also to Zedekiah king of Iudah according to all these wordes, saying, Put your neckes vnder the yoke of the King of Babel, and serue him and his people, that ye may liue.
আমি যিহূদার রাজা সিদিকিয়কেও এই একই বাক্য দিয়েছি। আমি বলেছি, “তোমার কাঁধ ব্যাবিলনের রাজার জোয়ালের নিচে পেতে দাও, তাঁর ও তাঁর প্রজাদের সেবা করো, তাহলে তুমি বেঁচে থাকবে।
13 Why will ye dye, thou, and thy people by the sworde, by the famine, and by the pestilence, as the Lord hath spoken against the nation, that will not serue the King of Babel?
কেন তুমি ও তোমার প্রজারা তরোয়াল, দুর্ভিক্ষ ও মহামারিতে মৃত্যুবরণ করবে, যা দিয়ে সদাপ্রভু সেইসব জাতিকে ভয় দেখিয়েছেন, যারা ব্যাবিলনের রাজার সেবা করবে না?
14 Therefore heare not the words of the prophets, that speake vnto you, saying, Ye shall not serue the King of Babel: for they prophecie a lie vnto you.
তোমরা ওইসব ভাববাদীর কথা বিশ্বাস কোরো না, যারা তোমাদের বলে, ‘ব্যাবিলনের রাজার সেবা তোমাদের করতে হবে না,’ কারণ তারা তোমাদের কাছে মিথ্যা ভাববাণী বলছে।
15 For I haue not sent them, saith the Lord, yet they prophecie a lie in my name, that I might cast you out, and that ye might perish, both you, and the prophets that prophecie vnto you.
‘আমি তাদের প্রেরণ করিনি,’ সদাপ্রভু এই কথা বলেন, ‘তারা আমার নামে মিথ্যা ভাববাণী বলছে। সেই কারণে আমি তোমাদের নির্বাসিত করব। এতে তোমরা এবং যারা তোমাদের কাছে ভাববাণী বলে, সেই ভাববাদীরা, উভয়েই বিনষ্ট হবে।’”
16 Also I spake to the Priests, and to all this people, saying, Thus saith the Lord, Heare not the wordes of your prophets that prophecie vnto you, saying, Behold, the vessels of the house of the Lord shall nowe shortly be brought againe from Babel, for they prophecie a lie vnto you.
তারপর আমি যাজকদের ও এই সমস্ত লোককে বললাম, “সদাপ্রভু এই কথা বলেন: ওইসব ভাববাদীর কথা শুনো না, যারা বলে, ‘খুব শীঘ্র সদাপ্রভুর গৃহ থেকে নিয়ে যাওয়া পাত্রগুলি ব্যাবিলন থেকে ফেরত আনা হবে।’ তারা তোমাদের কাছে মিথ্যা ভাববাণী বলেছে।
17 Heare them not, but serue the King of Babel, that ye may liue: wherefore shoulde this citie be desolate?
তোমরা তাদের কথা শুনো না। তোমরা ব্যাবিলনের রাজার সেবা করো, তাহলে বেঁচে থাকবে। কেন এই নগর এক ধ্বংসস্তূপে পরিণত হবে?
18 But if they be Prophets, and if the word of the Lord be with them, let them intreate the Lord of hostes, that the vessels, which are left in the House of the Lord, and in the house of the King of Iudah, and at Ierusalem, go not to Babel.
তারা যদি ভাববাদীই হয়ে থাকে এবং সদাপ্রভুর বাক্য তাদের কাছে থাকে, তাহলে তারা বাহিনীগণের সদাপ্রভুর কাছে মিনতি করুক যেন, সদাপ্রভুর গৃহে, যিহূদার রাজার গৃহে ও জেরুশালেমে অবশিষ্ট যেসব জিনিসপত্র আছে, সেগুলি ব্যাবিলনে নিয়ে যাওয়া না হয়।
19 For thus saith the Lord of hostes, concerning the pillars, and concerning the sea, and concerning the bases, and concerning the residue of the vessels that remaine in this citie,
কারণ বাহিনীগণের সদাপ্রভু ওই জিনিসগুলি সম্বন্ধে এই কথা বলেন, যেমন পিতলের স্তম্ভ, সমুদ্রপাত্র, স্থানান্তরযোগ্য তাকগুলি এবং অন্যান্য আসবাব, যেগুলি এই নগরে ছেড়ে যাওয়া হয়েছে,
20 Which Nebuchad-nezzar King of Babel tooke not, when he caryed away captiue Ieconiah the sonne of Iehoiakim King of Iudah from Ierusalem to Babel, with all the nobles of Iudah and Ierusalem.
যেগুলি ব্যাবিলনের রাজা নেবুখাদনেজার সঙ্গে নিয়ে যাননি, যখন তিনি যিহূদার রাজা যিহোয়াকীমের পুত্র যিহোয়াখীনকে, যিহূদা ও জেরুশালেমের সমস্ত সম্ভ্রান্ত ব্যক্তিকে জেরুশালেম থেকে ব্যাবিলনে নিয়ে যান—
21 For thus saith the Lord of hostes the God of Israel, concerning the vessels that remaine in the House of the Lord, and in the house of the King of Iudah, and at Ierusalem,
হ্যাঁ, একথা বাহিনীগণের সদাপ্রভু, ইস্রায়েলের ঈশ্বর, সদাপ্রভুর গৃহে ও যিহূদার রাজার প্রাসাদে ও জেরুশালেমে যেসব জিনিস অবশিষ্ট রয়ে গেছে, সেগুলির সম্পর্কে বলেন:
22 They shall be brought to Babel, and there they shalbe vntil the day that I visite them, saith the Lord: then will I bring them vp, and restore them vnto this place.
‘সেগুলি ব্যাবিলনে নিয়ে যাওয়া হবে এবং সেগুলি সেখানেই থাকবে, যতদিন না আমি সেগুলির জন্য ফিরে আসি,’ সদাপ্রভু এই কথা বলেন। ‘পরে আমি সেগুলি ফিরিয়ে আনব এবং এই স্থানে পুনরায় স্থাপন করব।’”
