< Jeremiah 23 >
1 Woe be vnto the pastors that destroy and scatter the sheepe of my pasture, saith the Lord.
2 Therefore thus saith the Lord God of Israel vnto the pastors that feede my people, Yee haue scattered my flock and thrust them out, and haue not visited them: beholde, I will visite you for the wickednesse of your works, saith the Lord.
Eya ta ale Yehowa, Israel ƒe Mawu la gblɔ na alẽkplɔla siwo le nye dukɔ la kplɔm lae nye esi: “Esi mielé be na nye alẽhawo o, ke boŋ miekaka wo eye mienya wo de gbe ta la, mahe to na mi ɖe nu vɔ̃ɖi si miewɔ la ta.” Yehowae gblɔe.
3 And I will gather the remnant of my sheepe out of all countreyes, whither I had driuen them, and will bring them againe to their foldes, and they shall growe and encrease.
“Nye ŋutɔ maƒo nye alẽ mamlɛawo nu ƒu tso anyigba siwo katã dzi menya wo ɖo ɖo la dzi, eye makplɔ wo va wo nyiƒe, afi si woadzi ɖe edzi fũu le.
4 And I will set vp shepheardes ouer them, which shall feede them: and they shall dread no more nor be afraide, neither shall any of them be lacking, saith the Lord.
Yehowae gblɔe.
5 Behold, The dayes come, saith the Lord, that I will raise vnto Dauid a righteous branche, and a King shall reigne, and prosper, and shall execute iudgement, and iustice in the earth.
Yehowa be, “Ŋkekewo li gbɔna esime mana atilɔ dzɔdzɔe, aɖe nadze atso David ƒe ƒome me, anye fia si aɖu fia le nunya me eye wòawɔ nu si le eteƒe kple nu si le dzɔdzɔe le anyigba dzi.
6 In his dayes Iudah shalbe saued, and Israel shall dwell safely, and this is the Name wherby they shall call him, The Lord our righteousnesse.
7 Therefore behold, the dayes come, sayth the Lord, that they shall no more say, The Lord liueth, which brought vp the children of Israel out of the lande of Egypt,
“Yehowa be eya ta ŋkekewo li gbɔna esi amewo magagblɔ be, ‘Meta Yehowa, ame si kplɔ Israelviwo do goe le Egipte la ƒe agbe’ o.
8 But the Lord liueth, which brought vp and led the seede of the house of Israel out of the North countrey and from all countryes where I had scattered them, and they shall dwell in their owne lande.
Ke boŋ woagblɔ be, ‘Meta Yehowa, ame si kplɔ Israel ƒe dzidzimeviwo do go tso anyiehenyigba dzi kple dukɔ siwo katã me woɖe aboyo wo ɖo ɖo la ƒe agbe.’ Ekema woanɔ woawo ŋutɔ ƒe anyigba dzi.”
9 Mine heart breaketh within mee, because of the prophets, all my bones shake: I am like a drunken man (and like a man whome wine hath ouercome) for the presence of the Lord and for his holie wordes.
Nya siwo ku ɖe nyagblɔɖilawo ŋu: nye dzi gbã le menye eye nye lãme katã le ƒoƒom. Ɖeko mele abe ŋutsu si mu aha alo abe ŋutsu si wain wu ko na la ene, le Yehowa kple eƒe nya kɔkɔewo ta.
10 For the lande is full of adulterers, and because of othes the lande mourneth, the pleasant places of the wildernesse are dried vp, and their course is euill, and their force is not right.
Anyigba la dzi yɔ fũu kple ahasiwɔlawo eye le fiƒode la ta la, anyigba la ƒu kplakplakpla ale be lãnyiƒe siwo katã le gbegbe la hã yrɔ; elabena Nyagblɔɖilawo ƒe mɔ to vovo eye wowɔa woƒe ŋusẽ ŋu dɔ to mɔ madzɔmadzɔwo dzi.
11 For both the prophet and the Priest doe wickedly: and their wickednesse haue I found in mine House, saith the Lord.
“Nyagblɔɖilawo kple Nunɔlawo siaa nye Mawumavɔ̃lawo eye le nye gbedoxɔ me gɔ̃ hã la, mekpɔ woƒe vɔ̃ɖivɔ̃ɖi.” Yehowae gblɔe.
12 Wherefore their way shalbe vnto them as slipperie wayes in the darknesse: they shalbe driuen foorth and fall therein: for I will bring a plague vpon them, euen the yeere of their visitation, saith the Lord.
“Eya ta woƒe mɔ dzi aɖiɖi dribadriba, woatsɔ wo aƒu gbe ɖe blukɔ me eye woadze anyi ɖe afi ma. Mahe gbegblẽ ava wo dzi le ƒe si me mahe to na wo.” Yehowae gblɔe.
13 And I haue seene foolishnesse in the prophets of Samaria, that prophecied in Baal, and caused my people Israel to erre.
“Mekpɔ bometsinu sia le nyagblɔɖila siwo le Samaria la dome. Wogblɔ nya ɖi le Baal ƒe ŋkɔ me eye wokplɔ nye dukɔ Israel trae.
14 I haue seene also in the prophets of Ierusalem filthines: they commit adulterie and walke in lies: they strengthen also the hands of the wicked that none can returne from his wickednesse: they are all vnto me as Sodom, and the inhabitants thereof as Gomorah.
Wole ahasi wɔm eye wole alakpa hã dam. Wodoa ŋusẽ nu baɖa wɔlawo be ne ame aɖeke nagaɖe asi le eƒe nu vɔ̃ɖi wɔwɔ ŋu o. Wo katã le nam abe Sodom ene. Yerusalem nɔlawo le abe Gomoratɔwo ene.”
15 Therefore thus saith the Lord of hostes concerning the prophets, Beholde, I will feede them with wormewood, and make them drinke the water of gall: for from the prophets of Ierusalem is wickednesse gone forth into all the lande.
Eya ta ale Yehowa, Dziƒoʋakɔwo ƒe Aƒetɔ la gblɔ ɖe nyagblɔɖilawo ŋutie nye esi: “Kpɔ ɖa, mana nuɖuɖu veve wo eye makpe tsi si me wode aɖii la na wo elabena Yerusalem ƒe nyagblɔɖilawo gbɔe wòtso be, mawumavɔmavɔ̃ kaka ɖe anyigba blibo la dzi.”
16 Thus sayth ye Lord of hosts, Heare not the wordes of the prophets that prophecie vnto you, and teach you vanitie: they speake the vision of their owne heart, and not out of the mouth of the Lord.
Ale Yehowa, Dziƒoʋakɔwo ƒe Aƒetɔ la gblɔe nye esi: “Migaɖo to nyagblɔɖi siwo gblɔm Nyagblɔɖilawo le na mi la o. Mia flum wole kple mɔkpɔkpɔ ƒuƒlu. Wogblɔa nya si woawo ŋutɔ susu la be ŋutegae yewokpɔ, ke menye nya si do tso Yehowa ƒe nu me o.
17 They say still vnto them that despise mee, The Lord hath sayde, Ye shall haue peace: and they say vnto euery one that walketh after the stubbernesse of his owne heart, No euill shall come vpon you.
Wogblɔna na ame siwo doa vlom ɖaa la be, ‘Yehowa be: miakpɔ ŋutifafa’, eye wogblɔna na ame siwo zɔna ɖe woƒe dzi vɔ̃ɖiwo ƒe ɖoɖo nu la be, ‘Dzɔgbevɔ̃e aɖeke mava mia dzi o.’
18 For who hath stand in the counsel of the Lord that he hath perceiued and heard his word? Who hath marked his worde and heard it?
Ke wo dometɔ kae nɔ Yehowa ƒe aɖaŋu me be wòakpɔ nu alo ase eƒe nya? Ame kae ɖo to hese eƒe nya?
19 Beholde, the tempest of the Lord goeth forth in his wrath, and a violent whirlewinde shall fall downe vpon the head of the wicked.
Kpɔ ɖa, Yehowa ƒe ahom atu sesĩe le eƒe dziku helĩhelĩ me, eye yali atso abla ɖe ta na ame vɔ̃ɖiwo kɔtɔɔ.
20 The anger of the Lord shall not returne vntill he haue executed, and till he haue perfourmed the thoughts of his heart: in the latter dayes ye shall vnderstande it plainely.
21 I haue not sent these prophets, sayth the Lord, yet they ranne; I haue not spoken to them, and yet they prophecied.
Nyemedɔ nyagblɔɖila siawo o, gake wole du dzi kple woawo ŋutɔwo ƒe gbedeasi. Nyemeƒo nu kpli wo o, evɔ wogblɔ nya ɖi.
22 But if they had stande in my counsell, and had declared my words to my people, then they should haue turned them from their euill way, and from the wickednesse of their inuentions.
Ke ne ɖe wonɔ nye aɖaŋudede me la, anye ne wogblɔ nye nyawo na nye dukɔ eye woatrɔ le woƒe mɔ vɔ̃wo dzi kple woƒe nuwɔwɔ vɔ̃ɖiwo me.”
23 Am I a God at hande, saith the Lord, and not a God farre off?
Yehowa be, “Kpuiƒe ƒe Mawu ko menyea, eye nyemenye Mawu si le adzɔge oa?
24 Can any hide him selfe in secrete places, that I shall not see him, sayth the Lord? Do not I fill heauen and earth, saieth the Lord?
Ɖe ame aɖe abe ɖe bebeƒe aɖe be nyemate ŋu akpɔe oa?” Yehowae gblɔe. “Ɖe nyemeyɔ dziƒo kple anyigba taŋtaŋ oa?” Yehowae gblɔe.
25 I haue heard what the prophets said, that prophecie lies in my Name, saying, I haue dreamed, I haue dreamed.
“Mese nu si gblɔm nyagblɔɖilawo le, ame siwo gblɔ aʋatsonyagblɔɖi le nye ŋkɔ me. Wogblɔ be, ‘Meku drɔ̃e aɖe! Meku drɔ̃e aɖe.’
26 Howe long? Doe the prophets delite to prophecie lies, euen prophecying the deceit of their owne heart?
Ɣe ka ɣie nu sia ayi edzi le aʋatsonyagbɔɖila siawo ƒe dzi me ase ɖo, ame siwo gblɔ beblenya siwo woƒe susuwo gblɔ na wo?
27 Thinke they to cause my people to forget my Name by their dreames, which they tell euery man to his neyghbour, as their forefathers haue forgotten my Name for Baal?
Wobu xaa be drɔ̃e siwo wolĩna na wo nɔewo la awɔe be nye amewo aŋlɔ nye ŋkɔ be abe ale si wo fofowo ŋlɔ nye ŋkɔ be, to Baal subɔsubɔ me ene.”
28 The prophet that hath a dreame, let him tell a dreame, and hee that hath my worde, let him speake my worde faithfully: what is the chaffe to the wheate, sayth the Lord?
Yehowa be, “Nyagblɔɖila si ku drɔ̃e la, nelĩ drɔ̃e la faa, gake ame si si nye nya le la, neɖe gbeƒãe anukwaretɔe. Elabena kadodo kae le bli kple atsa dome?” Yehowae gblɔe.
29 Is not my word euen like a fire, sayeth the Lord? and like an hammer, that breaketh the stone?
“Ɖe nye nya mele abe dzo ene kple zu si gbãa kpe sesẽ gudugudu la ene oa?” Yehowae gblɔ.
30 Therefore beholde, I will come against the prophets, saieth the Lord, that steale my word euerie one from his neighbour.
31 Beholde, I will come against the prophets, saith the Lord, which haue sweete tongues, and say, He saith.
Yehowa be, “Kpɔ ɖa, matso ɖe nyagblɔɖila siwo kpa nya kple woƒe aɖewo, evɔ wohegblɔna be, ‘Ale Yehowa gblɔe nye esi’ la ŋuti.
32 Beholde, I will come against them that prophecie false dreames, saith the Lord, and doe tell them, and cause my people to erre by their lies, and by their flatteries, and I sent them not, nor commanded them: therefore they bring no profite vnto this people, saith the Lord.
Kpɔ ɖa,” ale Yehowa gblɔe nye esi: “Matso ɖe ame siwo tsɔ alakpadrɔ̃ewo gblɔa nya ɖi la ŋuti. Wogblɔnɛ na dukɔa, eye wokplɔa nye amewo tranae to woƒe alakpa vivivo la me, evɔ nyemedɔ wo alo de dɔ asi na wo o. Womenye viɖe aɖeke na nye dukɔ o,” Yehowae gblɔe.
33 And when this people, or the prophet, or a Priest shall aske thee, saying, What is the burden of the Lord? thou shalt then say vnto them, What burden? I will euen forsake you, saith the Lord.
“Ne ame siawo, alo nyagblɔɖila alo nunɔla bia wò be, ‘Nu kae nye Yehowa ƒe gbe hã la,’ ɖo eŋu na wo be, ‘Nu ka ƒe gbe? Magbe nu le mia gbɔ’ Yehowae gblɔe.
34 And the prophet, or the Priest, or the people that shall say, The burden of the Lord, I will euen visite euerie such one, and his house.
Ke ne nyagblɔɖila alo nunɔla alo ame aɖe ko agblɔ be, ‘Esiae nye Yehowa ƒe gbe’ la, mahe to na ame la kple eƒe aƒekɔ katã.
35 Thus shall yee say euery one to his neighbour, and euerie one to his brother, What hath the Lord answered? and what hath the Lord spoken?
36 And the burden of the Lord shall yee mention no more: for euery mans worde shall bee his burden: for ye haue peruerted the words of the liuing God, the Lord of hostes our God.
Ke migakɔ nu le ‘Yehowa ƒe nya’ dzi azɔ o, elabena ame sia ame ŋutɔ ƒe nya zu eƒe nyagblɔɖi, ale mietrɔ gbo Mawu gbagbe, Yehowa ƒe Aƒetɔ la, miaƒe Mawu la ƒe nyawo.
37 Thus shalt thou say to the Prophet, What hath the Lord answered thee? and what hath the Lord spoken?
Esia nye nya si mienɔ gbɔgblɔm ɖaa na nyagblɔɖila, ‘Aleke Yehowa ɖo eŋutie?’ Alo ‘Nya kae Yehowa gblɔ?’
38 And if you say, The burden of the Lord, Then thus saith the Lord, Because yee say this word, The burden of the Lord, and I haue sent vnto you, saying, Ye shall not say, The burden of the Lord,
Togbɔ be miegblɔ be, ‘Esiae nye Yehowa ƒe nya, ale Yehowa gblɔe nye esi’ hã la, miegagblɔna be, ‘Esiae nye Yehowa ƒe nya,’ evɔ megblɔe na mi, miganɔ gbɔgblɔm be, ‘Esiae nye Yehowa ƒe nya’ o.
39 Therefore beholde, I, euen I will vtterly forget you, and I will forsake you, and the citie that I gaue you and your fathers, and cast you out of my presence,
Eya ta kpɔ ɖa, maŋlɔ mi be le nyateƒe me, eye matsɔ mi aƒu gbe le nye ŋkume akpe ɖe du si metsɔ na mi kple mia fofowo la ŋuti.
40 And will bring an euerlasting reproche vpon you, and a perpetual shame which shall neuer be forgotten.
