Jeremiah 2
1 Moreover, the woorde of the Lord came vnto me, saying,
परमप्रभुको वचन मकहाँ यसो भनेर आयो,
2 Goe, and crie in the eares of Ierusalem, saying, Thus sayeth the Lord, I remember thee, with the kindenes of thy youth and the loue of thy marriage, when thou wentest after me in the wildernes in a lande that was not sowen.
“जा र यरूशलेमले सुन्ने गरी घोषणा गर् । यसो भन्, ‘परमप्रभु यसो भन्नुहुन्छः तेरो युवावस्थामा भएको करारको विश्वसनियता, हाम्रो मगनी भएको बेलाको तेरो प्रेम, बीउ नछरिएको त्यस देशको उजाड-स्थानमा तँ मेरो पछि लागेको समयलाई याद गर्न मैले तँलाई बोलाएको छु ।
3 Israel was as a thing halowed vnto the Lord, and his first fruits: all they that eat it, shall offend: euil shall come vpon them, saith the Lord.
परमपप्रभुको फसलको अगौटे फल इस्राएललाई उहाँको निम्ति अलग गरियो । अगौटे फलबाट खाने सबै जना दोषी ठहरिए । तिनीहरूमाथि विपत्ति आइपर्यो, यो परमप्रभुको घोषणा हो ' ।”
4 Heare ye the word of the Lord, O house of Iaakob, and all the families of the house of Israel.
हे याकूबका घराना र इस्राएलको घरानाका सबै वंश हो, परमप्रभुको वचन सुन ।
5 Thus sayeth the Lord, What iniquitie haue your fathers founde in mee, that they are gone farre from mee, and haue walked after vanitie, and are become vaine?
परमप्रभु यसो भन्नुहुन्छ, “तिमीहरूका पुर्खाहरूले ममा के गल्ति भेट्टाए जसको कारणले गर्दा मलाई पछ्याउनबाट तिनीहरू टाढा भए? तिनीहरू बेकम्मा मुर्तिहरूको पछि गए र आफै बेकम्मा भए ।
6 For they saide not, Where is the Lord that brought vs vp out of the lande of Egypt? that led vs through the wildernesse, through a desert, and waste land, through a drie land, and by the shadow of death, by a land that no man passed through, and where no man dwelt?
तिनीहरूले यसो भनेनन्, 'हामीलाई मिश्रदेशबाट ल्याउनुहुने परमप्रभु कहाँ हुनुहुन्छ? हामीलाई उजाड-स्थानमा, अराबाको देश र खाडलहरूमा, सुख्खा र घोर अन्धकारको देशमा, कोही नजाने र कोही नबस्ने देशमा अगुवाइ गर्नुहुने परमप्रभु कहाँ हुनुहुन्छ?
7 And I brought you into a plentifull countrey, to eat the fruit thereof, and the commodities of the same: but when yee entred, yee defiled my land, and made mine heritage an abomination.
तर मैले तिमीहरूलाई कर्मेलको फल र अन्य असल खानेकुराहरू खान त्यस देशमा ल्याएँ । तापनि जब तिमीहरू आयौ, तिमीहरूले मेरो देशलाई दुषित पार्यौ । तिमीहरूले मेरो उत्तराधिकारलाई घृणित बनायौ ।
8 The priests said not, Where is the Lord? and they that should minister the Lawe, knewe me not: the pastours also offended against me, and the Prophets prophesied in Baal, and went after things that did not profite.
पुजारीले सोधेन, 'परमप्रभु कहाँ हुनुहुन्छ?', र व्यवस्थाका ज्ञाताहरूले मेरो बारेमा वास्तै गरेनन् । गोठालाहरूले मेरो विरुद्धमा अपराध गरे । अगमवक्ताहरूले बाल देवताको लागि अगमवाणी बोले, र व्यर्थैका कुराहरूको पछि लागे ।
9 Wherefore I wil yet plead with you, saith the Lord, and I will pleade with your childrens children.
त्यसैले परमप्रभु घोषणा गर्नुहुन्छ, म अझै पनि तिमीहरूलाई दोष लगाउनेछु र तिमीहरूका छोराहरूलाई दोष लगाउनेछु ।
10 For goe ye to the yles of Chittim, and beholde, and sende vnto Kedar. and take diligent heede, and see whether there be such things.
किनकि कित्तीमका किनारहरू पार गर र हेर । केदारमा सन्देशवाहकहरू पठाओ र पत्ता लगाओ, र त्यहाँ यस्तो काम पहिले कहिल्यै भएको रहेछ कि भनी हेर ।
11 Hath any nation changed their gods, which yet are no gods? but my people haue chaged their glorie, for that which doeth not profite.
के कुनै जातिले आफ्ना देवताहरू साटेका छन्? यद्यपि ती देवताहरू नै थिएनन् । तर जुन कुराले मेरो जातिलाई मदत गर्न सक्दैन, तिनै कुरासित तिनीहरूले आफ्नो महिमालाई साटेका छन् ।
12 O yee heauens, be astonied at this: bee afraid and vtterly confounded, sayeth the Lord.
यही कारणले गर्दा हे आकाशमण्डल, थरथर हो, चकित हो र डरले काँप, यो परमप्रभुको घोषणा हो ।
13 For my people haue committed two euils: they haue forsaken mee the fountaine of liuing waters, to digge them pittes, euen broken pittes, that can holde no water.
किनकि मेरो जातिले मेरो विरुद्धमा दुईवटा दुष्ट काम गरेको छः तिनीहरूले जिउँदो पानीको मुललाई त्यागेका छन्, र तिनीहरूले आफ्नै निम्ति पानी चुहिने कुवाहरू खनेका छन् ।
14 Is Israel a seruaunt, or is hee borne in the house? why then is he spoiled?
के इस्राएल दास हो? के त्यो आफ्नो मालिकको घरमा जन्मेको थियो? त्यसो भए, त्यो किन लुटको माल भएको छ त?
15 The lions roared vpon him and yelled, and they haue made his land waste: his cities are burnt without an inhabitant.
जवान सिंहहरू त्यसको विरुद्धमा गर्जे । तिनीहरूले ठुलो स्वरले गर्जेका छन्, र त्यसको देशलाई त्रसित पारेका छन् । त्यसका सहरहरू बासिन्दाहरू नरहने गरी नष्ट पारिएका छन् ।
16 Also the children of Noph and Tahapanes haue broken thine head.
साथै, मेम्फिस र तहपनेसका मानिसहरूले तेरो शिर खौरिनेछन् ।
17 Hast not thou procured this vnto thy selfe, because thou hast forsaken the Lord thy God, when he led thee by the way?
परमप्रभु तिमीहरूका परमेश्वरले तिमीहरूलाई अगुवाइ गरिरहनुहुँदा तिमीहरूले उहाँलाई त्यागेर के यो तिमीहरू आफ्नै निम्ति गरेका होइनौ र?
18 And what hast thou now to do in the way of Egypt? to drinke the water of Nilus? or what makest thou in the way of Asshur? to drinke the water of the Riuer?
त्यसैले अब, शिहोर नदीको पानी पिउन किन मिश्रदेशमा पुर्याउने बाटो भएर जान्छौ? यूफ्रेटिस नदीको पानी पिउन किन अश्शूरमा पुर्याउने बाटो भएर जान्छौ?
19 Thine owne wickednes shall correct thee, and thy turnings backe shall reprooue thee: know therefore and beholde, that it is an euil thing, and bitter, that thou hast forsaken the Lord thy God, and that my feare is not in thee, sayeth the Lord God of hostes.
तिमीहरूको दुष्टताले नै तिमीहरूलाई हप्काउँछ, र तिमीहरूको अविश्वासले नै तिमीहरूलाई दण्ड दिन्छ । त्यसैले यसबारे विचार गर, र बुझ, परमप्रभु तिमीहरूका परमेश्वरलाई त्यागेर उहाँको डर नमान्नु भनेको दुष्ट र तितो कुरा हो, यो सर्वशक्तिमान् परमप्रभु परमेश्वरको घोषणा हो ।
20 For of olde time I haue broken thy yoke, and burst thy bondes, and thou saidest, I will no more transgresse, but like an harlot thou runnest about vpon al hie hilles, and vnder all greene trees.
किनकि तँसित प्राचिन समयमा भएको तेरो जुवा मैले भाँचिदिएँ । मैले तेरा बन्धनहरू फुकाइदिएँ । तरै पनि तैंले भनिस्, 'म तपाईंको सेवा गर्नेछैनँ!' किनकि हरेक अग्लो डाँडा र हरेक झ्याम्म परेको रुखमुनि तैंले आफ्नो शिर झुकाइस्, तँ वेश्या होस् ।
21 Yet I had planted thee, a noble vine, whose plants were all natural: howe then art thou turned vnto me into the plants of a strange vine?
मैले तँलाई पूर्ण रूपले शुद्ध बीउबाट असल दाखको बोटको रूपमा रोपेको थिएँ । तब तैंले आफैलाई भ्रष्ट र बेकम्मा दाखको बोटको रूपमा कसरी परिवर्तन गरिस्?
22 Though thou wash thee with nitre, and take thee much sope, yet thine iniquitie is marked before me, sayeth the Lord God.
तैंले आफैलाई नदीमा सफा गरिस् वा साबुनले धोइस् भने पनि, तेरो अधर्म मेरो सामु दागझैं छ, यो परमप्रभु परमेश्वरको घोषणा हो ।
23 Howe canst thou say, I am not polluted, neither haue I followed Baalim? beholde thy waies in the valley, and know, what thou hast done: thou art like a swift dromedarie, that runneth by his waies.
'म बिटुलो पारिएको छैनँ! म बाल देवताको पछि लागेको छैनँ' भनी तैले कसरी भन्न सक्छस्? तैंले उपत्यकाहरूमा के गरिस्, सो हेर् । तैंले गरेको कुरालाई विचार गर् । तँ यताउता कुदिहिंड्ने चञ्चल पोथी ऊँट हो,
24 And as a wilde asse, vsed to the wildernesse, that snuffeth vp the winde by occasion at her pleasure: who can turne her backe? all they that seeke her, will not wearie themselues, but wil finde her in her moneth.
तँ उजाड-स्थानमा बस्न आदत भएको कामातुर भएर हावा सुँघ्दै हिंड्ने वन-गधैनी हो। त्यसको कामवासनालाई कसले नियन्त्रण गर्न सक्छ? त्यसको पछि लाग्ने कुनै पनि गधा थकित हुनुपर्दैन । मैथुनको समयमा तिनीहरूले त्यसलाई फेला पार्नेछन् ।
25 Keepe thou thy feete from barenes, and thy throte from thirst: but thou saidest desperately, No, for I haue loued strangers, and them will I follow.
तेरो खुट्टालाई नाङ्गो हुनबाट र तेरो घाँटीलाई तिर्खाउनबाट तैंले नियन्त्रण गर्नुपर्छ । तर तैंले भनेको छस्, 'यो आशारहित छ! अहँ, म परदेशीहरूलाई प्रेम गर्छु र तिनीहरूकै पछि लाग्छु ।'
26 As the theefe is ashamed, when he is foud, so is the house of Israel ashamed, they, their kings, their princes and their Priests, and their Prophets,
चोर समातिंदा त्यो लज्जित भएझैं, इस्राएलको घराना लज्जित हुने छ । तिनीहरू, तिनीहरूका राजाहरू, तिनीहरूका राजकुमारहरू, र तिनीहरूका पुजारीहरू र तिनीहरूका अगमवक्ताहरू लज्जित हुनेछन् ।
27 Saying to a tree, Thou art my father, and to a stone, Thou hast begotten me: for they haue turned their back vnto me, and not their face: but in ye time of their troble they wil say, Arise, and help vs.
यी तिनै हुन् जसले रुखलाई भन्छन्, 'तिमी मेरा पिता हौ', र ढुङ्गालाई 'तिमीले मलाई जन्म दियौ' । किनकि तिनीहरूले मतर्फ पिठिउँ फर्काउँछन्, आफ्ना अनुहार होइन । तापनि सङ्कष्टको समयमा तिनीहरू भन्छन्, 'उठ्नुहोस् र हामीलाई बचाउनुहोस्!'
28 But where are thy gods, that thou hast made thee? let them arise, if they can helpe thee in the time of thy trouble: for according to the nomber of thy cities, are thy gods, O Iudah.
तापनि तिमीहरूले आफ्ना निम्ति बनाएका देवताहरू कहाँ छन्? तिमीहरूको सङ्कष्टको समयमा तिमीहरूलाई बचाउन तिनीहरूको इच्छा भए तिनीहरू उठून्, किनकि हे यहूदा, तेरा जति सहरहरू छन्, त्यति नै तेरा मुर्तिहरू छन् ।
29 Wherefore wil ye pleade with me? ye all haue rebelled against me, sayeth the Lord.
त्यसैले मैले गलत गरेको छु भनी मलाई किन दोष लगाउँछस्? तिमीहरू सबैले मेरो विरुद्धमा पाप गरेका छौ, यो परमप्रभुको घोषणा हो ।
30 I haue smitten your children in vaine, they receiued no correction: your owne sworde hath deuoured your Prophets like a destroying lyon.
मैले तेरो जातिलाई व्यर्थैमा दण्ड दिएको छु । तिनीहरूले अनुशासनलाई स्वीकार गर्दैनन् । तिमीहरूको तरवारले तिमीहरूका अगमवक्ताहरूलाई विनाश गर्ने सिंहले झैं निलेको छ ।
31 O generation, take heede to the worde of the Lord: haue I bene as a wildernesse vnto Israel? or a lande of darkenesse? Wherefore sayeth my people then, We are lordes, we will come no more vnto thee?
हे यस पुस्ताका मानिस हो, मेरा वचन, परमप्रभुको वचनमा ध्यान देओ । के म इस्राएलको निम्ति उजाड-स्थान वा घोर अन्धकारको देश भएँ र? किन मेरो जातिले यसो भन्छ, 'हामी वरिपरि घुम्न दिनुहोस्, हामी फेरि तपाईंकहाँ आउनेछैनौं'?
32 Can a maid forget her ornament, or a bride her attire? yet my people haue forgotten me, daies without number.
के कन्याले आफ्नो गरगहना, दुलहीले आफ्ना घुम्टो भुल्छे र? तरै पनि मेरो जातिले मलाई गन्नै नसक्ने दिनदेखि भुलेको छ ।
33 Why doest thou prepare thy way, to seeke amitie? euen therefore will I teach thee, that thy waies are wickednesse.
प्रेमको खोजी गर्न कसरी तैंले आफ्नो मार्ग बनाउँछेस्? तैंले दुष्ट स्त्रीहरूलाई पनि आफ्ना मार्गहरू सिकाएको छेस् ।
34 Also in thy wings is founde the bloud of the soules of ye poore innocents: I haue not found it in holes, but vpon all these places.
तेरा वस्त्रहरूमा निर्दोष गरिब मानिसहरूको जीवनको रगत भेट्टाइएको छ । यी मानिसहरू घरमा चिरी गरिरहँदा भेट्टाइएका होइनन् ।
35 Yet thou saiest, Because I am giltles, surely his wrath shall turne from mee: beholde, I will enter with thee into iudgement, because thou saiest, I haue not sinned.
तरै पनि तँ भन्छेस्, 'म निर्दोष छु । निश्चय नै उहाँको क्रोध मबाट तर्केर गएको छ ।' तर हेर! 'मैले पाप गरेको छैनँ' भनी तैंले भनेको हुनाले म तँमाथि इन्साफ ल्याउनेछु ।
36 Why runnest thou about so much to change thy waies? for thou shalt be confounded of Egypt, as thou art confounded of Asshur.
तेरा मार्गमा यो बद्लाउलाई तँ किन निकै हलुकासित लिन्छेस्? जसरी अश्शूरले तँलाई निरुत्साही पार्यो, त्यसै गरी मिश्रदेशले पनि तँलाई निरुत्साही पार्नेछ ।
37 For thou shalt goe foorth from thence, and thine hands vpon thine head, because the Lord hath reiected thy confidence, and thou shalt not prosper thereby.
आफ्नो शिरमा आफ्ना हात राखेर तँ त्यहाँबाट दुःखी भएर जानुपर्ने हुन्छ, किनकि तैंले जस-जसमाथि भरोसा गरेको छेस्, तिनीहरूलाई परमप्रभुले इन्कार गर्नुभएको छ । त्यसैले तिनीहरूबाट तैंले मदत पाउनेछैनस् ।
