Jeremiah 17

1 The sinne of Iudah is written with a pen of yron, and with the poynt of a diamonde, and grauen vpon the table of their heart, and vpon the hornes of your altars.

“ଯିହୁଦାର ପାପ ଲୌହ ଲେଖନୀରେ ଓ ହୀରକର କଣ୍ଟକ ଦ୍ୱାରା ଲିଖିତ ଅଛି; ତାହା ସେମାନଙ୍କର ହୃଦୟ ଫଳକରେ ଓ ତୁମ୍ଭମାନଙ୍କ ଯଜ୍ଞବେଦିର ଶୃଙ୍ଗରେ ଖୋଦିତ ହୋଇଅଛି।

2 They remember their altars as their children, with their groues by the greene trees vpon the hilles.

ପୁଣି, ସେମାନଙ୍କର ସନ୍ତାନଗଣ ଉଚ୍ଚ ଗିରିସ୍ଥିତ ହରିତ୍‍ପୂର୍ଣ୍ଣ ବୃକ୍ଷ ନିକଟରେ ସେମାନଙ୍କର ଯଜ୍ଞବେଦି ଓ ଆଶେରା ମୂର୍ତ୍ତିସକଳ ସ୍ମରଣ କରନ୍ତି।

3 O my mountaine in the fielde, I will giue thy substance, and all thy treasures to be spoyled, for the sinne of thy high places throughout all thy borders.

ହେ ଆମ୍ଭର କ୍ଷେତ୍ରସ୍ଥ ପର୍ବତ, ତୁମ୍ଭର ସମୁଦାୟ ଅଞ୍ଚଳରେ କୃତ ପାପ ସକାଶେ ଆମ୍ଭେ ତୁମ୍ଭର ସମ୍ପତ୍ତି ଓ ସବୁ ଧନଭଣ୍ଡାର ଓ ଉଚ୍ଚସ୍ଥଳୀସକଳ ଲୁଟିତ ହେବା ପାଇଁ ଦେବା।

4 And thou shalt rest, and in thee shall be a rest from thine heritage that I gaue thee, and I will cause thee to serue thine enemies in the land, which thou knowest not: for yee haue kindled a fire in mine anger, which shall burne for euer.

ପୁଣି, ଆମ୍ଭେ ତୁମ୍ଭକୁ ଯେଉଁ ଅଧିକାର ଦେଲୁ, ତୁମ୍ଭେ ଆପେ ତହିଁରୁ କ୍ଷାନ୍ତ ହେବ। ଆଉ, ଆମ୍ଭେ ତୁମ୍ଭ ଅଜ୍ଞାତ ଦେଶରେ ତୁମ୍ଭକୁ ତୁମ୍ଭ ଶତ୍ରୁଗଣର ସେବା କରାଇବା; କାରଣ ତୁମ୍ଭେମାନେ ଆମ୍ଭ କ୍ରୋଧରୂପ ଅଗ୍ନି ପ୍ରଜ୍ୱଳିତ କରିଅଛ, ତାହା ସଦାକାଳ ଜ୍ୱଳିବ।”

5 Thus saith the Lord, Cursed be the man that trusteth in man, and maketh flesh his arme, and withdraweth his heart from the Lord.

ସଦାପ୍ରଭୁ ଏହି କଥା କହନ୍ତି; “ଯେଉଁ ମନୁଷ୍ୟ, ମନୁଷ୍ୟ ଉପରେ ନିର୍ଭର କରେ ଓ ମାଂସକୁ ଆପଣାର ବାହୁ କରେ, ଆଉ ଯାହାର ହୃଦୟ ସଦାପ୍ରଭୁଙ୍କ ନିକଟରୁ ଦୂରକୁ ଯାଏ, ସେ ଶାପଗ୍ରସ୍ତ।

6 For he shall be like the heath in the wildernesse, and shall not see when any good commeth, but shall inhabite the parched places in the wildernesse, in a salt land, and not inhabited.

ସେ ମରୁଭୂମିସ୍ଥିତ ଝାଉଁ ବୃକ୍ଷ ତୁଲ୍ୟ ହେବ, ମଙ୍ଗଳ ଉପସ୍ଥିତ ହେବା ବେଳେ ସେ ଦେଖିବ ନାହିଁ; ମାତ୍ର ପ୍ରାନ୍ତରର ଶୁଷ୍କ ସ୍ଥାନରେ, ନିବାସୀବିହୀନ ଲବଣ ଭୂମିରେ ବାସ କରିବ।

7 Blessed be the man, that trusteth in ye Lord, and whose hope the Lord is.

ଯେଉଁ ମନୁଷ୍ୟ ସଦାପ୍ରଭୁଙ୍କ ଉପରେ ନିର୍ଭର କରେ, ପୁଣି ସଦାପ୍ରଭୁ ଯାହାର ବିଶ୍ୱାସଭୂମି ଅଟନ୍ତି, ସେ ଧନ୍ୟ।

8 For he shall be as a tree that is planted by the water, which spreadeth out her rootes by the riuer, and shall not feele when the heate commeth, but her leafe shall be greene, and shall not care for the yeere of drought, neyther shall cease from yeelding fruit.

କାରଣ ସେ ଜଳ ନିକଟରେ ରୋପିତ ଓ ନଦୀ କୂଳରେ ବିସ୍ତୃତମୂଳ ବୃକ୍ଷ ତୁଲ୍ୟ ହେବ ଓ ଗ୍ରୀଷ୍ମ ଉପସ୍ଥିତ ହେବା ବେଳେ ସେ ଭୟ କରିବ ନାହିଁ, ମାତ୍ର ତାହାର ପତ୍ର ସତେଜ ହେବ; ଆଉ, ଅନାବୃଷ୍ଟିର ବର୍ଷରେ ସେ ଚିନ୍ତିତ ହେବ ନାହିଁ, କିଅବା ତାହାର ଫଳ ଫଳିବାର ନିବୃତ୍ତ ହେବ ନାହିଁ।”

9 The heart is deceitfull and wicked aboue all things, who can knowe it?

ଅନ୍ତଃକରଣ ସବୁଠାରୁ କପଟମୟ ଓ ଅପ୍ରତୀକାର୍ଯ୍ୟ ରୂପେ ପୀଡ଼ିତ; କିଏ ତାହା ଜାଣିପାରେ?

10 I the Lord search the heart, and try ye reines, euen to giue euery man according to his wayes, and according to the fruite of his workes.

“ଆମ୍ଭେ ସଦାପ୍ରଭୁ, ପ୍ରତ୍ୟେକ ମନୁଷ୍ୟକୁ ତାହାର ଆଚରଣ ଅନୁସାରେ ତାହାର କର୍ମର ଫଳ ଦେବା ପାଇଁ, ଅନ୍ତଃକରଣ ଅନୁସନ୍ଧାନ କରୁ, ଆମ୍ଭେ ମର୍ମ ପରୀକ୍ଷା କରୁ।”

11 As the partryche gathereth the yong, which she hath not brought forth: so he that getteth riches, and not by right, shall leaue them in the middes of his dayes, and at his ende shall bee a foole.

ଯେଉଁ ତିତ୍ତିର ପକ୍ଷୀ ଆପଣାର ଅପ୍ରସୂତ ଛୁଆମାନଙ୍କୁ ସଂଗ୍ରହ କରେ, ଅନ୍ୟାୟରେ ଧନ ସଞ୍ଚୟକାରୀ ଲୋକ ତାହାରି ତୁଲ୍ୟ; ତାହାର ପରମାୟୁ ମଧ୍ୟରେ ସେ ଧନ ତାହାକୁ ଛାଡ଼ିଯିବ ଓ ଆପଣାର ଅନ୍ତିମ କାଳରେ ସେ ମୂଢ଼ ହେବ।

12 As a glorious throne exalted from the beginning, so is the place of our Sanctuarie.

ଆଦିକାଳରୁ ଊର୍ଦ୍ଧ୍ୱରେ ସ୍ଥାପିତ ଗୌରବମୟ ସିଂହାସନ, ଆମ୍ଭମାନଙ୍କର ଧର୍ମଧାମ ଅଟେ।

13 O Lord, the hope of Israel, all that forsake thee, shall be confounded: they that depart from thee, shalbe written in the earth, because they haue forsaken the Lord, the fountaine of liuing waters.

ହେ ଇସ୍ରାଏଲର ପ୍ରତ୍ୟାଶାଭୂମି ସଦାପ୍ରଭୁ, ଯେଉଁମାନେ ତୁମ୍ଭଙ୍କୁ ପରିତ୍ୟାଗ କରନ୍ତି, ସେସମସ୍ତେ ଲଜ୍ଜିତ ହେବେ; ଯେଉଁମାନେ ମୋʼ ନିକଟରୁ ପ୍ରସ୍ଥାନ କରନ୍ତି, ସେମାନଙ୍କର ନାମ ଧୂଳିରେ ଲିଖିତ ହେବ, କାରଣ ସେମାନେ ଅମୃତ ଜଳର ନିର୍ଝର ସ୍ୱରୂପ ସଦାପ୍ରଭୁଙ୍କୁ ତ୍ୟାଗ କରିଅଛନ୍ତି।

14 Heale me, O Lord, and I shall bee whole: saue me, and I shall bee saued: for thou art my prayse.

ହେ ସଦାପ୍ରଭୁ, ମୋତେ ସୁସ୍ଥ କର, ତହିଁରେ ମୁଁ ସୁସ୍ଥ ହେବି, ମୋତେ ପରିତ୍ରାଣ କର, ତହିଁରେ ମୁଁ ପରିତ୍ରାଣ ପାଇବି; କାରଣ ତୁମ୍ଭେ ମୋର ପ୍ରଶଂସାଭୂମି।

15 Behold, they say vnto me, Where is the word of the Lord? let it come nowe.

ଦେଖ, ସେମାନେ ମୋତେ କୁହନ୍ତି, “ସଦାପ୍ରଭୁଙ୍କର ବାକ୍ୟ କାହିଁ। ତାହା ଏବେ ଉପସ୍ଥିତ ହେଉ।”

16 But I haue not thrust in my selfe for a pastour after thee, neither haue I desired the day of miserie, thou knowest: that which came out of my lips, was right before thee.

ମୁଁ ତ ତୁମ୍ଭ ପଛେ ପଛେ ମେଷପାଳକର କାର୍ଯ୍ୟ କରିବାରୁ ବିମୁଖ ହେବା ପାଇଁ ବେଗଗାମୀ ହୋଇ ନାହିଁ; କିଅବା ସେହି ଅମଙ୍ଗଳର ଦିନ ଚାହିଁ ନାହିଁ; ତୁମ୍ଭେ ଜାଣୁଅଛ; ମୋʼ ଓଷ୍ଠରୁ ଯାହା ନିର୍ଗତ ହେଲା, ତାହା ତୁମ୍ଭ ସମ୍ମୁଖରେ ଥିଲା।

17 Be not terrible vnto mee: thou art mine hope in the day of aduersitie.

ମୋʼ ପ୍ରତି ତ୍ରାସଜନକ ହୁଅ ନାହିଁ; ବିପଦ ଦିନରେ ତୁମ୍ଭେ ମୋର ଆଶ୍ରୟ ଅଟ।

18 Let them bee confounded, that persecute me, but let not me be confounded: let them be afraide, but let not me be afraide: bring vpon them the day of aduersitie, and destroy them with double destruction.

ଯେଉଁମାନେ ମୋତେ ତାଡ଼ନା କରନ୍ତି, ସେମାନେ ଲଜ୍ଜିତ ହେଉନ୍ତୁ, ମାତ୍ର ମୋତେ ଲଜ୍ଜିତ ହେବାକୁ ଦିଅ ନାହିଁ; ସେମାନେ ନିରାଶ ହେଉନ୍ତୁ, ମାତ୍ର ମୋତେ ନିରାଶ ହେବାକୁ ଦିଅ ନାହିଁ; ସେମାନଙ୍କ ଉପରେ ଅମଙ୍ଗଳର ଦିନ ଆଣ ଓ ଦ୍ୱିଗୁଣ ବିନାଶରେ ସେମାନଙ୍କୁ ବିନାଶ କର।

19 Thus hath the Lord said vnto me, Goe and stande in the gate of the children of the people, whereby the Kings of Iudah come in, and by the which they goe out, and in all ye gates of Ierusalem,

ସଦାପ୍ରଭୁ ମୋତେ ଏହି କଥା କହିଲେ, “ଯିହୁଦାର ରାଜାଗଣ ଯେଉଁ ଦ୍ୱାର ଦେଇ ଭିତରେ ଯାଆନ୍ତି ଓ ବାହାରେ ଆସନ୍ତି, ଲୋକମାନଙ୍କ ସନ୍ତାନଗଣର ସେହି ଦ୍ୱାରରେ ଓ ଯିରୂଶାଲମର ସକଳ ଦ୍ୱାରରେ ଯାଇ ଠିଆ ହୁଅ;

20 And say vnto them, Heare the word of the Lord, ye Kings of Iudah, and al Iudah, and all the inhabitants of Ierusale, that enter in by these gates.

ଆଉ, ସେମାନଙ୍କୁ କୁହ, ‘ହେ ଯିହୁଦାର ରାଜାଗଣ, ହେ ସମୁଦାୟ ଯିହୁଦା ଓ ହେ ଯିରୂଶାଲମର ନିବାସୀ ସମସ୍ତେ, ତୁମ୍ଭେମାନେ ଯେତେ ଲୋକ ଏହିସବୁ ଦ୍ୱାର ଦେଇ ପ୍ରବେଶ କରିଥାଅ, ତୁମ୍ଭେମାନେ ସଦାପ୍ରଭୁଙ୍କର ବାକ୍ୟ ଶୁଣ;

21 Thus sayth the Lord, Take heede to your soules, and beare no burden in the Sabbath day, nor bring it in by the gates of Ierusalem.

ସଦାପ୍ରଭୁ ଏହି କଥା କହନ୍ତି; ତୁମ୍ଭେମାନେ ଆପଣା ଆପଣା ବିଷୟରେ ସାବଧାନ ହୁଅ ଓ ବିଶ୍ରାମ ଦିନରେ କୌଣସି ଭାର ବହ ନାହିଁ, କିଅବା ଯିରୂଶାଲମର ଦ୍ୱାର ଦେଇ ତାହା ଭିତରକୁ ଆଣ ନାହିଁ;

22 Neither cary foorth burdens out of your houses in the Sabbath day: neither doe yee any worke, but sanctifie the Sabbath, as I commanded your fathers.

ଅଥବା ବିଶ୍ରାମ ଦିନରେ ଆପଣା ଆପଣା ଗୃହରୁ କୌଣସି ବୋଝ ବାହାର କରି ନିଅ ନାହିଁ, କିଅବା ତୁମ୍ଭେମାନେ କୌଣସି କାର୍ଯ୍ୟ କର ନାହିଁ; ମାତ୍ର ତୁମ୍ଭେମାନେ ବିଶ୍ରାମ ଦିନକୁ ପବିତ୍ର ରୂପେ ପାଳନ କର, ଆମ୍ଭେ ତୁମ୍ଭମାନଙ୍କର ପିତୃପୁରୁଷମାନଙ୍କୁ ଏହିରୂପେ ଆଜ୍ଞା କରିଥିଲୁ।

23 But they obeied not, neither inclined their eares, but made their neckes stiffe and would not heare, nor receiue correction.

ମାତ୍ର ସେମାନେ ମନୋଯୋଗ କଲେ ନାହିଁ, କିଅବା କର୍ଣ୍ଣପାତ କଲେ ନାହିଁ, ବରଞ୍ଚ ନ ଶୁଣିବା ପାଇଁ ଓ ଶିକ୍ଷା ଗ୍ରହଣ ନ କରିବା ପାଇଁ ଆପଣା ଆପଣା ଗ୍ରୀବା ଶକ୍ତ କଲେ।

24 Neuerthelesse if ye will heare me, sayth the Lord, and beare no burden through the gates of the citie in the Sabbath day, but sanctifie ye Sabbath day, so that ye do no worke therein,

ପୁଣି, ସଦାପ୍ରଭୁ କହନ୍ତି, ତୁମ୍ଭେମାନେ ଯେବେ ଯତ୍ନପୂର୍ବକ ଆମ୍ଭ କଥାରେ ମନୋଯୋଗ କରି ବିଶ୍ରାମବାରରେ ଏହି ନଗର-ଦ୍ୱାର ଦେଇ କୌଣସି ବୋଝ ଭିତରକୁ ନ ଆଣ ଓ ସେହି ଦିନ କୌଣସି କାର୍ଯ୍ୟ ନ କରି ବିଶ୍ରାମ ଦିନକୁ ପବିତ୍ର ରୂପେ ପାଳନ କର;

25 Then shall the Kings and the princes enter in at the gates of this citie, and shall sit vpon the throne of Dauid, and shall ride vpon charets, and vpon horses, both they and their princes, the men of Iudah, and the inhabitants of Ierusalem: and this citie shall remaine for euer.

ତେବେ ଦାଉଦଙ୍କ ସିଂହାସନରେ ଉପବିଷ୍ଟ ରାଜାଗଣ ଓ ଅଧିପତିଗଣ ରଥରେ ଓ ଅଶ୍ୱରେ ଚଢ଼ି, ସେମାନେ ଓ ସେମାନଙ୍କର ଅଧିପତିମାନେ, ଯିହୁଦାର ଲୋକମାନେ ଓ ଯିରୂଶାଲମର ନିବାସୀମାନେ ଏହି ନଗର-ଦ୍ୱାର ଦେଇ ପ୍ରବେଶ କରିବେ ଓ ଏହି ନଗର ସଦାକାଳ ରହିବ।

26 And they shall come from the cities of Iudah, and from about Ierusalem, and from the land of Beniamin, and from the plaine, and from the mountaines, and from the South, which shall bring burnt offrings, and sacrifices, and meate offrings, and incense, and shall bring sacrifice of prayse into the house of the Lord.

ପୁଣି, ଲୋକମାନେ ଯିହୁଦାର ନଗରସମୂହରୁ, ଯିରୂଶାଲମର ଚତୁର୍ଦ୍ଦିଗସ୍ଥିତ ଅଞ୍ଚଳରୁ, ବିନ୍ୟାମୀନ୍ ଦେଶରୁ ଓ ନିମ୍ନ ଭୂମିରୁ ଓ ପାର୍ବତୀୟ ଦେଶରୁ ଓ ଦକ୍ଷିଣ ଦେଶରୁ ହୋମବଳି, ନୈବେଦ୍ୟ ଓ କୁନ୍ଦୁରୁ ନେଇ, ଆଉ ପ୍ରଶଂସାର୍ଥକ ବଳି ଘେନି ସଦାପ୍ରଭୁଙ୍କ ଗୃହକୁ ଆସିବେ।

27 But if ye will not heare me to sanctifie the Sabbath day, and not to beare a burden nor to go through the gates of Ierusalem in the Sabbath day, then will I kindle a fire in the gates thereof, and it shall deuoure the palaces of Ierusalem, and it shall not be quenched.

ମାତ୍ର ଯଦି ତୁମ୍ଭେମାନେ ଆମ୍ଭ ବାକ୍ୟରେ ଅବଧାନ ନ କରି ବିଶ୍ରାମ ଦିନକୁ ପବିତ୍ର ରୂପେ ପାଳନ ନ କର ଓ ବିଶ୍ରାମ ଦିନରେ ବୋଝ ବହି ଯିରୂଶାଲମର ଦ୍ୱାରରେ ପ୍ରବେଶ କର, ତେବେ ଆମ୍ଭେ ତହିଁର ଦ୍ୱାରସମୂହରେ ଅଗ୍ନି ଜ୍ୱଳାଇବା, ପୁଣି ତାହା ଯିରୂଶାଲମର ଅଟ୍ଟାଳିକାସବୁ ଗ୍ରାସ କରିବ ଓ ତାହା ନିର୍ବାଣ ହେବ ନାହିଁ।’”
