Jeremiah 13
1 Thus sayth the Lord vnto mee, Goe, and buy thee a linen girdle, and put it vpon thy loynes, and put it not in water.
ସଦାପ୍ରଭୁ ମୋତେ ଏହି କଥା କହିଲେ, “ତୁମ୍ଭେ ଯାଇ ମସିନା ନିର୍ମିତ ଏକ ପଟୁକା କିଣି ତାହା ଆପଣା କଟିଦେଶରେ ବାନ୍ଧ ଓ ଜଳରେ ତାହା ରଖ ନାହିଁ।”
2 So I bought the girdle according to the commandement of the Lord, and put it vpon my loynes.
ତହିଁରେ ମୁଁ ସଦାପ୍ରଭୁଙ୍କ ବାକ୍ୟାନୁସାରେ ଏକ ପଟୁକା କିଣି ଆପଣା କଟିଦେଶରେ ବାନ୍ଧିଲି।
3 And the worde of the Lord came vnto me the second time, saying,
ଏଥିଉତ୍ତାରେ ଦ୍ୱିତୀୟ ଥର ସଦାପ୍ରଭୁଙ୍କର ବାକ୍ୟ ମୋʼ ନିକଟରେ ଉପସ୍ଥିତ ହେଲା,
4 Take the girdle that thou hast bought, which is vpon thy loynes, and arise, goe towarde Perath, and hide it there in the cleft of the rocke.
“ଯଥା, ଉଠ, ତୁମ୍ଭ କଟିଦେଶରେ ଥିବା ଯେଉଁ ପଟୁକା ତୁମ୍ଭେ କିଣିଅଛ, ତାହା ନେଇ ଫରାତ୍ ନଦୀ ନିକଟକୁ ଯାଇ, ସେଠାସ୍ଥିତ ଏକ ଶୈଳ ଛିଦ୍ରରେ ଲୁଚାଇ ରଖ।”
5 So I went, and hid it by Perath, as the Lord had commanded me.
ତହିଁରେ ସଦାପ୍ରଭୁଙ୍କ ଆଜ୍ଞାନୁସାରେ ମୁଁ ଯାଇ ଫରାତ୍ ନଦୀ ନିକଟରେ ତାହା ଲୁଚାଇ ରଖିଲି।
6 And after many dayes, the Lord sayde vnto mee, Arise, goe towarde Perath, and take the girdle from thence, which I commanded thee to hide there.
ପୁଣି, ଅନେକ ଦିନ ଉତ୍ତାରେ ସଦାପ୍ରଭୁ ମୋତେ କହିଲେ, “ତୁମ୍ଭେ ଉଠି ଫରାତ୍ ନଦୀ ନିକଟକୁ ଯାଅ ଓ ଯେଉଁ ପଟୁକା ସେଠାରେ ଲୁଚାଇ ରଖିବା ପାଇଁ ଆମ୍ଭେ ଆଜ୍ଞା କଲୁ, ତାହା ସେଠାରୁ ନିଅ।”
7 Then went I to Perath, and digged, and tooke the girdle from the place where I had hid it, and behold, the girdle was corrupt, and was profitable for nothing.
ତେବେ ମୁଁ ଫରାତ୍ ନଦୀ ନିକଟକୁ ଯାଇ ସେହି ପଟୁକା ଲୁଚାଇ ରଖିଥିବା ସ୍ଥାନ ଖୋଳି ତାହା ନେଲି; ଆଉ ଦେଖ, ସେ ପଟୁକା ନଷ୍ଟ ହୋଇଅଛି, ତାହା ଆଉ କୌଣସି କର୍ମର ଯୋଗ୍ୟ ନୁହେଁ।
8 Then the word of the Lord came vnto me, saying,
ତେବେ “ସଦାପ୍ରଭୁଙ୍କର ଏହି ବାକ୍ୟ ମୋʼ ନିକଟରେ ଉପସ୍ଥିତ ହେଲା,
9 Thus sayth the Lord, After this maner will I destroy the pride of Iudah, and the great pride of Ierusalem.
ଯଥା, ସଦାପ୍ରଭୁ କହନ୍ତି, ଆମ୍ଭେ ଏହି ପ୍ରକାରେ ଯିହୁଦାର ଦର୍ପ ଓ ଯିରୂଶାଲମର ମହାଦର୍ପ ଚୂର୍ଣ୍ଣ କରିବା।
10 This wicked people haue refused to heare my word, and walke after ye stubbernesse of their owne heart, and walke after other gods to serue them, and to worship them: therefore they shalbe as this girdle, which is profitable to nothing.
ଏହି ଯେଉଁ ଦୁଷ୍ଟ ଲୋକମାନେ ଆମ୍ଭ ବାକ୍ୟ ଶୁଣିବାକୁ ଅସମ୍ମତ ହୋଇ ଆପଣା ଆପଣା ଅନ୍ତଃକରଣର ଅବାଧ୍ୟତାନୁସାରେ ଚାଲନ୍ତି ଓ ଅନ୍ୟ ଦେବଗଣର ସେବା ଓ ପୂଜା କରିବା ନିମନ୍ତେ ସେମାନଙ୍କର ପଶ୍ଚାଦ୍ଗମନ କରିଅଛନ୍ତି, ସେମାନେ ଏହି ଅକର୍ମଣ୍ୟ ପଟୁକା ତୁଲ୍ୟ ହେବେ।
11 For as the girdle cleaueth to the loynes of a man, so haue I tied to me the whole house of Israel, and the whole house of Iudah, saith the Lord, that they might bee my people: that they might haue a name and prayse, and glory, but they would not heare.
କାରଣ ସଦାପ୍ରଭୁ କହନ୍ତି, ମନୁଷ୍ୟର କଟିଦେଶରେ ପଟୁକା ଯେରୂପ ସଂଲଗ୍ନ ଥାଏ, ତଦ୍ରୂପ ଆମ୍ଭେ ସମୁଦାୟ ଇସ୍ରାଏଲ ଓ ସମୁଦାୟ ଯିହୁଦା-ବଂଶକୁ ଆମ୍ଭର ଲୋକ, କୀର୍ତ୍ତି, ପ୍ରଶଂସା ଓ ଗୌରବ ସ୍ୱରୂପ କରିବା ପାଇଁ ଆମ୍ଭଠାରେ ସଂଲଗ୍ନ କରାଇଲୁ; ମାତ୍ର ସେମାନେ ଆମ୍ଭ କଥା ଶୁଣିବାକୁ ଅସମ୍ମତ ହେଲେ।
12 Therefore thou shalt saye vnto them this word, Thus sayth the Lord God of Israel, Euery bottell shalbe filled with wine, and they shall say vnto thee, Doe we not knowe that euery bottell shalbe filled with wine?
ଏହେତୁ ତୁମ୍ଭେ ସେମାନଙ୍କୁ ଏହି କଥା କହିବ, ‘ସଦାପ୍ରଭୁ ଇସ୍ରାଏଲର ପରମେଶ୍ୱର ଏହି କଥା କହନ୍ତି, ପ୍ରତ୍ୟେକ କଳସ ଦ୍ରାକ୍ଷାରସରେ ପୂର୍ଣ୍ଣ କରାଯିବ;’ ତହିଁରେ ସେମାନେ ତୁମ୍ଭକୁ କହିବେ, ‘ପ୍ରତ୍ୟେକ କଳସ ଯେ ଦ୍ରାକ୍ଷାରସରେ ପୂର୍ଣ୍ଣ କରାଯିବ, ଏହା କʼଣ ଆମ୍ଭେମାନେ ଜାଣୁ ନାହୁଁ?’
13 Then shalt thou say vnto them, Thus saith the Lord, Behold, I will fill all the inhabitants of this land, euen the Kings that sit vpon the throne of Dauid, and the Priestes and the Prophets and all the inhabitantes of Ierusalem with drunkennesse.
ସେତେବେଳେ ତୁମ୍ଭେ ସେମାନଙ୍କୁ କହିବ, ‘ସଦାପ୍ରଭୁ ଏହି କଥା କହନ୍ତି, ଦେଖ, ଆମ୍ଭେ ଏହି ଦେଶ ନିବାସୀ ସମସ୍ତ ଲୋକଙ୍କୁ, ଅର୍ଥାତ୍ ଦାଉଦର ସିଂହାସନୋପବିଷ୍ଟ ରାଜାଗଣଙ୍କୁ ଓ ଯାଜକମାନଙ୍କୁ, ଭବିଷ୍ୟଦ୍ବକ୍ତାଗଣଙ୍କୁ ଓ ଯିରୂଶାଲମ ନିବାସୀ ସମସ୍ତଙ୍କୁ ମତ୍ତତାରେ ପୂର୍ଣ୍ଣ କରିବା।
14 And I wil dash them one against another, euen the fathers and the sonnes together, sayeth the Lord: I will not spare, I will not pitie nor haue compassion, but destroy them.
ପୁଣି, ଆମ୍ଭେ ସେମାନଙ୍କର ଏକ ଜଣକୁ ଅନ୍ୟ ଜଣର ଉପରେ, ହଁ, ପିତୃଗଣକୁ ଓ ପୁତ୍ରଗଣକୁ ଏକ ସଙ୍ଗେ କଚାଡ଼ି ପକାଇବା, ଏହା ସଦାପ୍ରଭୁ କହନ୍ତି; ଆମ୍ଭେ ସେମାନଙ୍କ ପ୍ରତି କୃପା କିଅବା ଦୟା ଅଥବା କରୁଣା ନ କରି ସେମାନଙ୍କୁ ନଷ୍ଟ କରିବା।’”
15 Heare and giue eare, be not proude: for the Lord hath spoken it.
ତୁମ୍ଭେମାନେ ଶୁଣ ଓ କର୍ଣ୍ଣପାତ କର; ଅହଙ୍କାର କର ନାହିଁ; କାରଣ ସଦାପ୍ରଭୁ କଥା କହିଅଛନ୍ତି।
16 Giue glory to the Lord your God before he bring darknes, and or euer your feete stumble in the darke mountaines, and whiles you look for light, he turne it into the shadowe of death and make it as darkenesse.
ସଦାପ୍ରଭୁ ତୁମ୍ଭମାନଙ୍କ ପରମେଶ୍ୱର ଅନ୍ଧକାର ଉପସ୍ଥିତ କରିବା ପୂର୍ବେ ଓ ଅନ୍ଧକାରମୟ ପର୍ବତରେ ତୁମ୍ଭମାନଙ୍କ ଚରଣ ଝୁଣ୍ଟିବା ପୂର୍ବେ; ପୁଣି, ତୁମ୍ଭେମାନେ ଆଲୁଅର ଅପେକ୍ଷା କରୁ କରୁ ସେ ତାହା ମୃତ୍ୟୁୁଚ୍ଛାୟାରେ ଓ ଘୋର ଅନ୍ଧକାରରେ ପରିଣତ କରିବା ପୂର୍ବେ, ତୁମ୍ଭେମାନେ ତାହାଙ୍କୁ ଗୌରବ ଦିଅ।
17 But if ye will not heare this, my soule shall weepe in secrete for your pride, and mine eye shall weepe and drop downe teares, because the Lords flocke is caried away captiue.
ମାତ୍ର ଯଦି ତୁମ୍ଭେମାନେ ଏ କଥା ଶୁଣିବ ନାହିଁ, ତେବେ ତୁମ୍ଭମାନଙ୍କର ଅହଙ୍କାର ସକାଶୁ ମୋହର ପ୍ରାଣ ନିରୋଳା ସ୍ଥାନରେ ରୋଦନ କରିବ ଓ ସଦାପ୍ରଭୁଙ୍କର ପଲ ବନ୍ଦୀ ଅବସ୍ଥାରେ ନୀତ ହେବା ସକାଶୁ ମୋହର ଚକ୍ଷୁ ଅତିଶୟ ରୋଦନ କରି ଅଶ୍ରୁଧାରା ବୁହାଇବ।
18 Say vnto the King and to the Queene, Humble yourselues, sit downe, for the crowne of your glory shall come downe from your heads.
ତୁମ୍ଭେ ରାଜାକୁ ଓ ରାଜମାତାକୁ କୁହ, “ତୁମ୍ଭେମାନେ ଆପଣାମାନଙ୍କୁ ନମ୍ର କରି ବସ; କାରଣ ତୁମ୍ଭମାନଙ୍କର ମସ୍ତକାଭରଣ, ଅର୍ଥାତ୍, ଗୌରବ ମୁକୁଟ ତଳେ ପଡ଼ିଅଛି।
19 The cities of the South shall be shut vp, and no man shall open them: all Iudah shall be caried away captiue: it shall be wholy caried away captiue.
ଦକ୍ଷିଣ ପ୍ରଦେଶୀୟ ନଗରସବୁ ରୁଦ୍ଧ ହୋଇଅଛି ଓ ତାହା ଫିଟାଇବାକୁ କେହି ନାହିଁ; ସମୁଦାୟ ଯିହୁଦା ନିର୍ବାସିତ ହୋଇଅଛି; ତାହା ସମ୍ପୂର୍ଣ୍ଣ ରୂପେ ନିର୍ବାସିତ ହୋଇଅଛି।
20 Lift vp your eyes and beholde them that come from the North: where is the flocke that was giuen thee, euen thy beautifull flocke?
ତୁମ୍ଭେମାନେ ଚକ୍ଷୁ ଖୋଲି ଉତ୍ତର ଦିଗରୁ ଆସନ୍ତା ଲୋକମାନଙ୍କୁ ଦେଖ; ତୁମ୍ଭକୁ ଯେଉଁ ପଲ ଦତ୍ତ ହୋଇଥିଲା, ତୁମ୍ଭର ସେହି ସୁନ୍ଦର ପଲ କାହିଁ?
21 What wilt thou saye, when hee shall visite thee? (for thou hast taught them to be captaines and as chiefe ouer thee) shall not sorow take thee as a woman in trauaile?
ତୁମ୍ଭେ ଯେଉଁମାନଙ୍କୁ ନିଜେ ଆପଣା ବିରୁଦ୍ଧରେ ଶିକ୍ଷା ଦେଇଅଛ, ତୁମ୍ଭର ସେହି ମିତ୍ରମାନଙ୍କୁ ଯେତେବେଳେ ସେ ତୁମ୍ଭର ମସ୍ତକ ସ୍ୱରୂପ କରି ନିଯୁକ୍ତ କରିବେ, ସେତେବେଳେ ତୁମ୍ଭେ କଅଣ କହିବ? ପ୍ରସବକାଳରେ ଯେପରି ସ୍ତ୍ରୀଲୋକ, ସେହିପରି ତୁମ୍ଭେ କି ବେଦନାଗ୍ରସ୍ତ ହେବ ନାହିଁ?
22 And if thou say in thine heart, Wherefore come these things vpon me? For the multitude of thine iniquities are thy skirts discouered and thy heeles made bare.
ପୁଣି ଯଦି ତୁମ୍ଭେ ମନେ ମନେ ପଚାରିବ, ମୋʼ ପ୍ରତି ଏପରି ଦଶା କାହିଁକି ଘଟିଲା? (ତେବେ ଶୁଣ, ) ତୁମ୍ଭ ଅଧର୍ମର ବାହୁଲ୍ୟରୁ ତୁମ୍ଭ ବସ୍ତ୍ରର ଅଞ୍ଚଳ ଉଠାଯାଇଅଛି ଓ ତୁମ୍ଭର ଗୋଇଠି ଦୌରାତ୍ମ୍ୟ ଭୋଗ କରୁଅଛି।
23 Can the blacke More change his skin? or the leopard his spots? then may ye also do good, that are accustomed to do euill.
କୂଶୀୟ ଲୋକ କି ଆପଣା ଚର୍ମ ଓ ଚିତାବାଘ କି ଆପଣା ଚିତ୍ରବର୍ଣ୍ଣ ବଦଳାଇ ପାରେ? ତାହାହେଲେ, କୁକର୍ମ କରିବାକୁ ଅଭ୍ୟସ୍ତ ଯେ ତୁମ୍ଭେମାନେ, ତୁମ୍ଭେମାନେ କି ସୁକର୍ମ କରି ପାରିବ?
24 Therefore will I scatter them, as the stubble that is taken away with the South winde.
ଏନିମନ୍ତେ ପ୍ରାନ୍ତରସ୍ଥ ବାୟୁ ସମ୍ମୁଖରେ ଉଡ଼ନ୍ତା ନଡ଼ା ପରି ଆମ୍ଭେ ସେମାନଙ୍କୁ ଛିନ୍ନଭିନ୍ନ କରି ପକାଇବା।
25 This is thy portion, and ye part of thy measures from me, sayth the Lord, because thou hast forgotten me and trusted in lyes.
ସଦାପ୍ରଭୁ କହନ୍ତି, ଆମ୍ଭଠାରୁ ଏହି ତୁମ୍ଭର ବାଣ୍ଟ ଓ ପରିମିତ ଅଂଶ; କାରଣ ତୁମ୍ଭେ ଆମ୍ଭକୁ ପାସୋରିଅଛ ଓ ମିଥ୍ୟାରେ ବିଶ୍ୱାସ କରିଅଛ।
26 Therefore I haue also discouered thy skirts vpon thy face, that thy shame may appeare.
ଏନିମନ୍ତେ ଆମ୍ଭେ ହିଁ ତୁମ୍ଭ ବସ୍ତ୍ରର ଅଞ୍ଚଳ ତୁମ୍ଭ ମୁଖ ପର୍ଯ୍ୟନ୍ତ ଟେକିବା ଓ ତୁମ୍ଭର ଲଜ୍ଜା ଦେଖାଯିବ।
27 I haue seene thine adulteries, and thy neiings, the filthinesse of thy whoredome on the hils in the fieldes, and thine abominations. Wo vnto thee, O Ierusalem: wilt thou not bee made cleane? when shall it once be?
ଆମ୍ଭେ କ୍ଷେତ୍ରସ୍ଥ ଗିରିଗଣ ଉପରେ ତୁମ୍ଭର ଘୃଣ୍ୟ କର୍ମ, ତୁମ୍ଭର ବ୍ୟଭିଚାର, ତୁମ୍ଭର ହିଁ ହିଁ ହେବାର ଓ ତୁମ୍ଭର ବେଶ୍ୟାବୃତ୍ତିର ଦୁଷ୍ଟତା ଦେଖିଅଛୁ। ହେ ଯିରୂଶାଲମ, ତୁମ୍ଭେ ସନ୍ତାପର ପାତ୍ର! ତୁମ୍ଭେ ଶୁଚିକୃତ ହେବାକୁ ମଙ୍ଗୁ ନାହଁ; ଆହୁରି କେତେ କାଳ ଏପରି ହେବ?”
