Jeremiah 13
1 Thus sayth the Lord vnto mee, Goe, and buy thee a linen girdle, and put it vpon thy loynes, and put it not in water.
परमप्रभुले मलाई यसो भन्नुभयो, “जा र एउटा सुतीको पटुका किन्, र यसलाई तेरो कम्मरको चारैतिर बाँध, तर त्यसलाई पहिले पानीमा नभिजा ।”
2 So I bought the girdle according to the commandement of the Lord, and put it vpon my loynes.
परमप्रभुले निर्देशन दिनुभएझैं मैले एउटा पटुका किनें र त्यसलाई मेरो कम्मरको चारैतिर बह्रें ।
3 And the worde of the Lord came vnto me the second time, saying,
तब दोस्रो पटक परमप्रभुको वचन यसो भनेर मकहाँ आयो,
4 Take the girdle that thou hast bought, which is vpon thy loynes, and arise, goe towarde Perath, and hide it there in the cleft of the rocke.
“तैंले किनेको पटुका जुन तेरो कम्मरको चारैतिर बाँधिएको छ, त्यसलाई निकाल्, र उठ र परातमा जा । त्यहाँ चट्टानको धाँदोमा त्यसलाई लुका ।”
5 So I went, and hid it by Perath, as the Lord had commanded me.
त्यसैले जसरी परमप्रभुले मलाई आज्ञा दिनुभएको थियो त्यसरी नै म गएँ र त्यसलाई परातमा लुकाएँ ।
6 And after many dayes, the Lord sayde vnto mee, Arise, goe towarde Perath, and take the girdle from thence, which I commanded thee to hide there.
धेरै दिनपछि परमप्रभुले मलाई भन्नुभयो, “खडा हो र परातमा फर्केर जा । मैले तँलाई लुकाउन भनेको त्यो पटुका लिएर आइज ।”
7 Then went I to Perath, and digged, and tooke the girdle from the place where I had hid it, and behold, the girdle was corrupt, and was profitable for nothing.
त्यसैले म परातमा फर्केर गएँ, र मैले लुकाएको ठाउँबाट त्यसलाई खनेर झिकेँ, र हेर, त्यो त नष्ट भएको र पूर्ण रूपमा बेकम्मा भएको थियो ।
8 Then the word of the Lord came vnto me, saying,
तब परमप्रभुको वचन यसो भनेर मकहाँ आयो,
9 Thus sayth the Lord, After this maner will I destroy the pride of Iudah, and the great pride of Ierusalem.
“परमप्रभु यसो भन्नुहुन्छ, 'त्यसरी नै यहूदा र यरूशलेमको ठुलो अहंकारलाई म नाश गर्नेछु ।
10 This wicked people haue refused to heare my word, and walke after ye stubbernesse of their owne heart, and walke after other gods to serue them, and to worship them: therefore they shalbe as this girdle, which is profitable to nothing.
मेरो वचन सुन्न इन्कार गर्ने, आफ्नो हृदयको कठोरतामा हिंड्ने, अरू देवताहरूको पुजा गर्न तिनीहरूका पछि जाने र तिनीहरूको सामु निहुरने यो दुष्ट जाति त्यही पटुकाजस्तै हुनेछ, जसको कुनै काम छैन ।
11 For as the girdle cleaueth to the loynes of a man, so haue I tied to me the whole house of Israel, and the whole house of Iudah, saith the Lord, that they might bee my people: that they might haue a name and prayse, and glory, but they would not heare.
जसरी एउटा पटुका कसैको कम्मरमा कसिएको हुन्छ, त्यसरी नै मैले इस्राएलका सबै घराना र यहूदाका सबै घरानालाई मेरो जाति हुन, मेरो नाउँ राख्न, मलाई इज्जत, प्रशंसा र आदर गर्न ममा कसिन लगाएको छु, यो परमप्रभुको घोषणा हो । तर तिनीहरूले मेरो कुरा सुन्दैनन् ।
12 Therefore thou shalt saye vnto them this word, Thus sayth the Lord God of Israel, Euery bottell shalbe filled with wine, and they shall say vnto thee, Doe we not knowe that euery bottell shalbe filled with wine?
त्यसैले तैंले यो वचन तिनीहरूलाई भन्नुपर्छ, 'परमप्रभु इस्राएलका परमेश्वर यसो भन्नुहुन्छः हरेक मशक दाखमद्यले भरिनेछ ।' तिनीहरूले तँलाई भन्नेछन्, 'हरेक मशक दाखमद्यले भरिनेछ भनेर के हामीलाई थाहा छैन र?'
13 Then shalt thou say vnto them, Thus saith the Lord, Behold, I will fill all the inhabitants of this land, euen the Kings that sit vpon the throne of Dauid, and the Priestes and the Prophets and all the inhabitantes of Ierusalem with drunkennesse.
त्यसैले तिनीहरूलाई भन्, 'परमप्रभु यसो भन्नुहुन्छः हेर, यस देशको हरेक बासिन्दा अर्थात् दाऊदको सिंहासनमा बस्ने राजाहरू, पुजारीहरू, अगमवक्ताहरू र यरूशलेमका सबै बासिन्दालाई मैले पियक्कडपनले भर्न लागेको छु ।
14 And I wil dash them one against another, euen the fathers and the sonnes together, sayeth the Lord: I will not spare, I will not pitie nor haue compassion, but destroy them.
तब प्रत्येक मानिसलाई अर्कोको विरुद्धमा, बुबाहरूलाई छोराछोरीका विरुद्धमा नष्ट पार्न लगाउनेछु, यो परमप्रभुको घोषणा हो, म तिनीहरूलाई दया देखाउने वा टिठ्यानेछैनँ, र तिनीहरूलाई विनाशबाट जोगाउनेछैनँ ।'
15 Heare and giue eare, be not proude: for the Lord hath spoken it.
सुन, र ध्यान देओ । अहङ्कारी नहोओ, किनकि परमप्रभुले बोल्नुभएको थियो ।
16 Giue glory to the Lord your God before he bring darknes, and or euer your feete stumble in the darke mountaines, and whiles you look for light, he turne it into the shadowe of death and make it as darkenesse.
परमप्रभु तिमीहरूका परमेश्वरले अन्धकार ल्याउनुअगि र उहाँले तिमीहरूका खुट्टा अँध्यारोमा पहाडहरूमा ठेस लगाउनु अगि उहाँलाई आदर देओ । किनकि तिमीहरू ज्योतिको खोजी गर्दैछौ, तर उहाँले त्यस ठाउँलाई घोर अन्धकार, बाक्लो बादलमा परिणत गर्नुहुनेछ ।
17 But if ye will not heare this, my soule shall weepe in secrete for your pride, and mine eye shall weepe and drop downe teares, because the Lords flocke is caried away captiue.
त्यसैले तिमीहरूले सुनेनौ भने, तिमीहरूको अहङ्कारको कारणले म एक्लै रुनेछु । निश्चय नै म रुनेछु, र मेरा आँखाबाट आँसुका धारा बग्नेछ, किनकि परमप्रभुको बगाल कैदमा लगिएको छ ।
18 Say vnto the King and to the Queene, Humble yourselues, sit downe, for the crowne of your glory shall come downe from your heads.
“राजा र राजमातालाई भन्, 'आ-आफ्नो सिंहासनबाट ओर्लेर तल आओ, किनकि तिमीहरूका गौरवशाली मुकुटहरू तिमीहरूका शिरबाट खसेका छन् ।'
19 The cities of the South shall be shut vp, and no man shall open them: all Iudah shall be caried away captiue: it shall be wholy caried away captiue.
नेगेवका सहरहरू थुनिने छन् । तिनलाई खोल्ने कोही हुनेछैन । सारा यहूदा कैदमा लगिनेछन् । पूर्ण रूपमा कैदमा लगिनेछन् ।
20 Lift vp your eyes and beholde them that come from the North: where is the flocke that was giuen thee, euen thy beautifull flocke?
आफ्ना आँखा उठाओ र उत्तरबाट आइरहेकाहरूलाई हेर् । उहाँले तँलाई दिनुभएको बगाल, तेरो लागि साह्रै सुन्दर बगाल कहाँ छ?
21 What wilt thou saye, when hee shall visite thee? (for thou hast taught them to be captaines and as chiefe ouer thee) shall not sorow take thee as a woman in trauaile?
तैंले तालिम दिएकाहरूलाई नै तेरा खास मित्रहरू हुन परमेश्वरले तँमाथि राख्नुहुँदा तैंले के भन्नेछस्? के यी एउटी स्त्रीले प्रसव-वेदनामा पीडा भोगेजस्तै तैंले भोग्ने पीडाको थालनी होइन र?
22 And if thou say in thine heart, Wherefore come these things vpon me? For the multitude of thine iniquities are thy skirts discouered and thy heeles made bare.
तब तैंले आफ्नो हृदयमा भन्लास्, 'यी कुरा ममाथि किन आइरहेका छन्?' तेरा अपराधको थुप्रोको कारणले तेरो फरिया उचालिएको छ, र तँलाई कुव्यवहार गरिएको छ ।
23 Can the blacke More change his skin? or the leopard his spots? then may ye also do good, that are accustomed to do euill.
के कूशका मानिसहरूले आफ्नो छालाको रङ बद्लन सक्छन् र, वा चितुवाले आफ्नो छालाको थोप्ला बद्लन सक्छ र? त्यसो हो भने, दुष्टताको निम्ति बानी परेको तैंले पनि भलाइ गर्न सक्छस् ।
24 Therefore will I scatter them, as the stubble that is taken away with the South winde.
मरुभूमिको बतासमा उडाइने भुसजस्तै म तिनीहरूलाई तितर-बितर पार्नेछु ।
25 This is thy portion, and ye part of thy measures from me, sayth the Lord, because thou hast forgotten me and trusted in lyes.
मैले तँलाई यही कुरा दिएको छु, तेरो निम्ति मैले आदेश दिएको हिस्सा यही हो, यो परमप्रभुको घोषणा हो, किनकि तैंले मलाई भुलेको छस् र छलमाथि भरोसा गरेको छस् ।
26 Therefore I haue also discouered thy skirts vpon thy face, that thy shame may appeare.
त्यसैले म आफैले पनि तेरो फरिया उठानेछु, र तेरो गुप्ताङ्ग देखिनेछ ।
27 I haue seene thine adulteries, and thy neiings, the filthinesse of thy whoredome on the hils in the fieldes, and thine abominations. Wo vnto thee, O Ierusalem: wilt thou not bee made cleane? when shall it once be?
मैले तेरो व्यभिचार, हिनहिनाइ, डाँडाहरू र मैदानहरूमा भएको तेरो वेश्यावृत्तिको दुष्टता देखेको छु, र यी घृणित कुराहरू मैले देखेको छु । ए यरूशलेम, तँलाई धिक्कार! तँलाई फेरि शुद्ध हुन कति समय लाग्नेछ?”
