< Jeremiah 12 >
1 O Lord, if I dispute with thee, thou art righteous: yet let mee talke with thee of thy iudgements: wherefore doeth the way of the wicked prosper? why are all they in wealth that rebelliously transgresse?
Atĩrĩrĩ, Wee Jehova ũtũũraga ũnduagĩra ciira na kĩhooto rĩrĩa rĩothe ndarehe ciira mbere yaku. No rĩrĩ, no nyende twaranĩrie nawe ũndũ ũkoniĩ kĩhooto gĩaku: Nĩ kĩĩ gĩtũmaga mũthiĩre wa mũndũ ũrĩa mwaganu ũgaacĩre? Nĩ kĩĩ gĩtũmaga andũ arĩa matarĩ wĩtĩkio matũũre megangarĩte?
2 Thou hast planted them, and they haue taken roote: they grow, and bring forth fruite: thou art neere in their mouth, and farre from their reines.
Ũmahaandĩte, nao makagĩa na mĩri; makũraga na magaciara maciaro. Ũgwetagwo hĩndĩ ciothe nĩ tũnua twao, no meciiria ma ngoro ciao marĩ haraaya nawe.
3 But thou, Lord, knowest me: thou hast seene me, and tried mine heart towarde thee: pull them out like sheepe for the slaughter, and prepare them for the day of slaughter.
No rĩrĩ, Wee Jehova nĩũnjũũĩ; nĩwe ũnyonaga na ũkoiruuria meciiria makwa ũndũ ũgũkoniĩ. Maguucũrũrie ta ngʼondu irathiĩ gũthĩnjwo! Maamũre ũmetererie mũthenya wao wa kũũragwo!
4 Howe long shall the lande mourne, and the herbes of euery fielde wither, for the wickednesse of them that dwell therein? the beastes are consumed and the birdes, because they sayd, He wil not see our last ende.
Nĩ ihinda rĩigana atĩa bũrũri ũgũtũũra ũngʼarĩte, nayo nyeki mĩgũnda-inĩ yothe ĩikare ĩhoohete? Tondũ andũ arĩa matũũraga kuo nĩ andũ aaganu-rĩ, nyamũ na nyoni nĩithirĩte. Ningĩ, andũ acio maroiga atĩrĩ, “Ndakoona ũrĩa tũkaarĩkĩrĩria.”
5 If thou hast runne with the footemen and they haue wearied thee, then howe canst thou match thy selfe with horses? and if thou thoughtest thy selfe safe in a peaceable lande, what wilt thou do in the swelling of Iorden?
“Angĩkorwo nĩũtengʼeranĩtie na andũ marathiĩ na magũrũ nao magakũhũmia-rĩ, wakĩhota atĩa gũcindana na mbarathi? Angĩkorwo nĩũhĩngagwo ũkĩgerera bũrũri ũrĩ thayũ-rĩ, ũgaakĩhota atĩa gũtũrĩkania ihinga iria irĩ hũgũrũrũ-inĩ cia Jorodani?
6 For euen thy brethren, and the house of thy father, euen they haue delt vnfaithfully with thee, and they haue cryed out altogether vpon thee: but beleeue them not, though they speake faire to thee.
Ariũ a maitũguo, na andũ a nyũmba ya thoguo-rĩ, o nao nĩmagũkunyanĩire; nĩmanĩrĩire na mũgambo magũũkĩrĩre. Ndũkae kũmeehoka, o na mangĩaria wega waku atĩa.
7 I haue forsaken mine house: I haue left mine heritage: I haue giuen the dearely beloued of my soule into the hands of her enemies.
“Niĩ nĩngũtirika nyũmba yakwa, na ndiganĩrie igai rĩakwa; nĩngũneana ũrĩa nyendete moko-inĩ ma thũ ciake.
8 Mine heritage is vnto mee, as a lion in the forest: it crieth out against mee, therefore haue I hated it.
Igai rĩakwa rĩtuĩkĩte ta mũrũũthi ũrĩ gĩthaka-inĩ harĩ niĩ. Nĩkũrarama ũndaramĩire, nĩ ũndũ ũcio ngaũthũũra.
9 Shall mine heritage bee vnto mee, as a bird of diuers colours? are not the birdes about her, saying, Come, assemble all ye beastes of the fielde, come to eate her?
Githĩ igai rĩakwa rĩtituĩkĩte ta nyoni ndĩa-nyama ĩrĩ maroro harĩ niĩ, ĩrĩa nyoni iria ingĩ ndĩa-nyama ĩthiũrũrũkagĩria ikamĩtharĩkĩra? Thiĩ ũkonganie nyamũ ciothe cia gĩthaka; cirehe imatambuure.
10 Many pastors haue destroyed my vineyarde, and troden my portion vnder foote: of my pleasant portion they haue made a desolate wildernesse.
Arĩithi aingĩ nĩmakananga mũgũnda wakwa wa mĩthabibũ, na marangĩrĩrie mũgũnda wakwa; nĩmagatũma mũgũnda wakwa ũrĩa mwega ũtuĩke rũngʼũrĩ rũkirĩte ihooru.
11 They haue layde it waste, and it, being waste, mourneth vnto me: and the whole lande lyeth waste, because no man setteth his minde on it.
Magaatũma gũkire ihooru, gũtuĩke kũndũ kũngʼaru na gũkirĩte ihooru maitho-inĩ makwa; bũrũri ũcio wothe nĩũgathũkangio nĩ ũndũ gũtirĩ mũndũ wakũũrũmbũiya.
12 The destroyers are come vpon all the high places in the wildernesse: for the sworde of the Lord shall deuoure from the one end of the land, euen to the other ende of the lande: no flesh shall haue peace.
Werũ-inĩ guothe kũrĩa gũtũũgĩru aniinani nĩkuo makaiyũra, nĩgũkorwo rũhiũ rwa njora rwa Jehova nĩrũkaniinana kuuma gĩturi kĩmwe kĩa bũrũri nginya kĩrĩa kĩngĩ; gũtigakorwo mũndũ o na ũrĩkũ ũgaakorwo na thayũ.
13 They haue sowen wheate, and reaped thornes: they were sicke, and had no profite: and they were ashamed of your fruites, because of the fierce wrath of the Lord.
Makaahandaga ngano, makagetha mĩigua; makeenogia na matione kĩndũ. Nĩ ũndũ ũcio-rĩ, conokerai magetha manyu, tondũ wa marakara mahiũ ma Jehova.”
14 Thus sayeth the Lord against all mine euill neighbours, that touch the inheritance, which I haue caused my people Israel to inherite, Beholde, I will plucke them out of their lande, and plucke out the house of Iudah from among them.
Jehova ekuuga atĩrĩ: “Ha ũhoro wa andũ acio aaganu maandigiicĩirie, o acio matunyaga andũ akwa a Isiraeli igai rĩrĩa ndaamaheire-rĩ, nĩngamamunya kuuma mabũrũri mao, na munye nyũmba ya Juda yume gatagatĩ kao.
15 And after that I haue plucked them out, I will returne, and haue compassion on them, and will bring againe euery man to his heritage, and euery man to his land.
No rĩrĩ, thuutha wa kũmamunya nĩngacooka ndĩmaiguĩre tha na njookie o ũmwe wao igai-inĩ rĩake mwene, bũrũri-inĩ wake kĩũmbe.
16 And if they will learne the wayes of my people, to sweare by my Name, (The Lord liueth, as they taught my people to sweare by Baal) then shall they be built in the middes of my people.
Ningĩ mangĩkeruta wega mĩthiĩre ya andũ akwa na mehĩte makĩgwetaga rĩĩtwa rĩakwa moige atĩrĩ, ‘Ti-itherũ o ta ũrĩa Jehova atũũraga muoyo,’ o ta ũrĩa maarutire andũ akwa hĩndĩ ĩmwe kwĩhĩta makĩgwetaga rĩĩtwa rĩa Baali-rĩ, hĩndĩ ĩyo nao nĩmakahaandwo marũme wega gatagatĩ ka andũ akwa.
17 But if they will not obey, then will I vtterly plucke vp, and destroy that nation, sayeth the Lord.
No rĩrĩ, rũrĩrĩ o na rũrĩkũ rũngĩkaaga kũnjigua-rĩ, nĩngarũmunya na mĩri na ndĩrũniine biũ,” ũguo nĩguo Jehova ekuuga.
