James 5
1 Goe to nowe, ye rich men: weepe, and howle for your miseries that shall come vpon you.
¡Qꞌinomabꞌ, chitampeꞌ! Chixoqꞌoq, chiraqa ichiꞌ rumal cher kape na nimalaj kꞌax piꞌwiꞌ.
2 Your riches are corrupt, and your garments are moth eaten.
Xqꞌay ri iqꞌinomal, ri iwatzꞌyaq xixjutirik.
3 Your gold and siluer is cankred, and the rust of them shalbe a witnesse against you, and shall eate your flesh, as it were fire. Ye haue heaped vp treasure for the last dayes.
Xpusir ri qꞌana pwaq iwukꞌ. Ri pus taq pwaq kuqꞌalajisaj na ri imak xuqujeꞌ kuporoj na ri ityoꞌjal. Imulim sibꞌalaj nim pwaq, pune iwetaꞌm chi ix kꞌo chi pa taq ri kꞌisbꞌal taq qꞌij.
4 Behold, the hire of ye labourers, which haue reaped your fieldes (which is of you kept backe by fraude) cryeth, and the cryes of them which haue reaped, are entred into the eares of the Lord of hostes.
¡Chitampeꞌ! Ri kirajil ri ajchakibꞌ ri xkichakuj ri iwulew ri man xitzꞌaqatisaj taj kakichaꞌ kibꞌ chiꞌwe. Ri kichꞌawem ri ajchakibꞌ xtataj rumal ri Ajawxel, ri kakwin chubꞌanik ronojel jastaq.
5 Ye haue liued in pleasure on the earth, and in wantonnes. Ye haue nourished your heartes, as in a day of slaughter.
Ix qas inimarisam iwibꞌ rukꞌ taq ri iqꞌinomal, xaq xwi iqꞌobꞌisam iwibꞌ rech kixpilik are kuriq ri qꞌij kaqꞌat tzij piꞌwiꞌ.
6 Ye haue condemned and haue killed the iust, and he hath not resisted you.
Xikamisaj, xuqujeꞌ xiqꞌat tzij puꞌwiꞌ ri sukꞌ winaq, man xiya ta bꞌe che xutoꞌ ribꞌ.
7 Be patient therefore, brethren, vnto the comming of the Lord. Behold, the husbandman wayteth for the precious fruite of the earth, and hath long patience for it, vntill he receiue the former, and the latter rayne.
Rumal kꞌu riꞌ wachalal, chichajij iwibꞌ kꞌa pa ri upetibꞌal ri Ajawxel. Chikꞌama inoꞌj chrij ri kubꞌan ri ajtikolobꞌ are karayeꞌj ri jeꞌlalaj uwach ri utikoꞌn, xuqujeꞌ karayeꞌj chi kaqaj ri jabꞌ ri kabꞌeyetajik.
8 Be ye also patient therefore and settle your hearts: for ye comming of the Lord draweth neere.
Je chibꞌana ix, ko chixkꞌoloq, chiwayeꞌj rukꞌ kochꞌonik ri upetibꞌal ri Ajawxel ri xqebꞌ loq.
9 Grudge not one against another, brethren, least ye be condemned: behold, the iudge standeth before the doore.
Wachalal, xaq mixchꞌoꞌjinik, rech man kaqꞌat taj tzij piꞌwiꞌ. Man naj ta chik kꞌo wi loq ri qꞌatal tzij chaqe.
10 Take, my brethren, the Prophets for an ensample of suffering aduersitie, and of long patience, which haue spoken in the Name of the Lord.
Wachalal, chikꞌama jun inoꞌj che ri xkꞌulmataj kukꞌ ri e qꞌalajisal taq utzij ri Dios, xkiriq kꞌax xuqujeꞌ rukꞌ kochꞌonik xkiqꞌalajisaj ri ubꞌiꞌ ri Ajawxel.
11 Beholde, we count them blessed which endure. Ye haue heard of the patience of Iob, and haue knowen what ende the Lord made. For the Lord is very pitifull and mercifull.
Qas tzij wi, sibꞌalaj utz kech ri qas tzij kekꞌojiꞌk. Xita ri kabꞌix che ri Jobꞌ chi xjeqiꞌ ukꞌuꞌx chirij ri Dios, kꞌisbꞌal rech xtewechiꞌx rumal ri Dios. Ri Ajawxel sibꞌalaj utz, kutoqꞌobꞌisaj qawach xuqujeꞌ maj ukꞌisik ri utoqꞌobꞌ.
12 But before all thinges, my brethren, sweare not, neither by heauen, nor by earth, nor by any other othe: but let your yea, be yea, and your nay, nay, lest ye fall into condemnation.
Ri qas kinchilibꞌej chiꞌwe wachalal are mikoj ri ubꞌiꞌ ri Dios, ri ubꞌiꞌ ri kaj, ri ubꞌiꞌ ri uwachulew o japaskux chi ne jun jastaq are kibꞌan chꞌekom tzij. We kibꞌij chi jeriꞌ, jeriꞌ riꞌ, we kibꞌij chi man je ta riꞌ, man je ta riꞌ, rech man kaqꞌat ta tzij piꞌwiꞌ.
13 Is any among you afflicted? Let him pray. Is any merie? Let him sing.
We kꞌo jun chiꞌwe kabꞌisonik pa ranimaꞌ, chibꞌana chꞌawem rukꞌ. We kꞌo jun kakiꞌkotik, chubꞌixoj bꞌix.
14 Is any sicke among you? Let him call for the Elders of the Church, and let them pray for him, and anoynt him with oyle in the Name of the Lord.
We kꞌo jun chiꞌwe yawabꞌ, taqanoq chikisikꞌixik ri kꞌamal taq bꞌe rech ri komontyox rech kabꞌan chꞌawem puꞌwiꞌ xuqujeꞌ kakoj aceite olivo che, pa ri ubꞌiꞌ ri Jesús.
15 And the prayer of faith shall saue the sicke, and the Lord shall raise him vp: and if he haue committed sinnes, they shalbe forgiuen him.
Ri chꞌawem ri kabꞌan rukꞌ kojobꞌal kukunaj ri yawabꞌ, ri Ajawxel kuwaꞌjilisaj na ri yawabꞌ. We makuninaq, kakuyutaj na ri umak ri ubꞌanom.
16 Acknowledge your faultes one to another, and pray one for another, that ye may be healed: for the prayer of a righteous man auaileth much, if it be feruent.
Rumal riꞌ, chitzujuj iwibꞌ che ri imak chibꞌil taq iwibꞌ, xuqujeꞌ chibꞌana chꞌawem chibꞌil taq iwibꞌ, rech kixkunatajik. Ri uchꞌawem ri sukꞌ winaq sibꞌalaj kwinel, xuqujeꞌ kakwinik kuya che ri winaq ri kuto.
17 Helias was a man subiect to like passions as we are, and he prayed earnestly that it might not rayne, and it rayned not on the earth for three yeeres and sixe moneths.

18 And he prayed againe, and the heauen gaue rayne, and the earth brought forth her fruite.
Xubꞌan chik chꞌawem junmul rech kaqaj jabꞌ, xqaj ri jabꞌ, xraxar ri ulew xuqujeꞌ xwachin ri tikoꞌn.
19 Brethren, if any of you hath erred from the trueth, and some man hath conuerted him,
Wachalal, we kꞌo jun chiꞌwe kel kanoq pa ri qas tzij, kꞌa te riꞌ jun chik katzalin pa qas tzij,
20 Let him know that he which hath conuerted the sinner from going astray out of his way, shall saue a soule from death, and shall hide a multitude of sinnes.
