James 5
1 Goe to nowe, ye rich men: weepe, and howle for your miseries that shall come vpon you.
Nan, mga dato, panghilak ug paniyabaw kamo tungod sa mga kagul-anan nga taliabut kaninyo.
2 Your riches are corrupt, and your garments are moth eaten.
Ang inyong kadato mangadunot ug ang inyong mga bisti pangotkoton sa mga tangkob.
3 Your gold and siluer is cankred, and the rust of them shalbe a witnesse against you, and shall eate your flesh, as it were fire. Ye haue heaped vp treasure for the last dayes.
Ang inyong bulawan ug salapi mahurot sa taya, ug ang ilang taya magasaksi batok kaninyo, magaot-ot sa inyong unod. Kamo nagatigum ug bahandi alang sa katapusang mga adlaw.
4 Behold, the hire of ye labourers, which haue reaped your fieldes (which is of you kept backe by fraude) cryeth, and the cryes of them which haue reaped, are entred into the eares of the Lord of hostes.
Ania karon, nagatuwaw ang mga suhol nga inyong gitikas gikan sa mga mamomoo nga nanag-ani sa inyong mga uma; ug ang mga pagtuwaw sa mga mag-aani nahidangat sa mga dalunggan sa Ginoo sa kasundalohan.
5 Ye haue liued in pleasure on the earth, and in wantonnes. Ye haue nourished your heartes, as in a day of slaughter.
Dinhi sa yuta kamo nanagpuyo sa kaluho ug sa pagpatuyang sa kalipayan; kamo nanagpatambok sa inyong mga kasingkasing aron ihawon alang sa adlaw sa ting-ihaw.
6 Ye haue condemned and haue killed the iust, and he hath not resisted you.
Inyong gihukman ug silot, inyong gipatay ang matarung; siya dili lang mosukol kaninyo.
7 Be patient therefore, brethren, vnto the comming of the Lord. Behold, the husbandman wayteth for the precious fruite of the earth, and hath long patience for it, vntill he receiue the former, and the latter rayne.
Busa mga igsoon, pagpailub kamo hangtud sa pag-anhi sa Ginoo. Tan-awa, ang mag-uuma magapaabut sa bililhong abut sa yuta; siya magapailub labut sa abut hangtud kini makadawat sa sayo ug sa ulahing ulan.
8 Be ye also patient therefore and settle your hearts: for ye comming of the Lord draweth neere.
Kamo usab kinahanglan magpailub. Lig-ona ang inyong mga kasingkasing, kay haduol na ang pag-anhi sa Ginoo.
9 Grudge not one against another, brethren, least ye be condemned: behold, the iudge standeth before the doore.
Mga igsoon, ayaw kamo pagpanghupaw sa pagmahay batok sa usa ug usa, aron kamo dili pagahukman sa silot; tan-awa, ang Maghuhukom nagatindog na sa mga gangha-an.
10 Take, my brethren, the Prophets for an ensample of suffering aduersitie, and of long patience, which haue spoken in the Name of the Lord.
Mga igsoon, ingon nga panig-ingnan sa pag-antus ug pagpailub, palandunga ang mga profeta nga nanagsulti tungod sa ngalan sa Ginoo.
11 Beholde, we count them blessed which endure. Ye haue heard of the patience of Iob, and haue knowen what ende the Lord made. For the Lord is very pitifull and mercifull.
Tan-awa, ginahimo ta ang pagpahalipay kanila nga nanagpakaantus. Nakadungog kamo mahitungod sa pagkamainantuson ni Job, ug nakita ninyo ang katuyoan kaniadto sa Ginoo, unsa gayud kamapuanguron ug kamaloloy-on sa Ginoo.
12 But before all thinges, my brethren, sweare not, neither by heauen, nor by earth, nor by any other othe: but let your yea, be yea, and your nay, nay, lest ye fall into condemnation.
Apan labaw sa tanan, mga igsoon, ayaw gayud kamo pagpanumpa, bisan pa kon ipasikad sa langit o sa yuta o sa bisan unsa pang panumpaa, hinonoa ang inyong oo himoa nga oo ra, ug ang inyong dili himoa nga dili ra, aron dili kamo mahiagum sa hukom sa silot.
13 Is any among you afflicted? Let him pray. Is any merie? Let him sing.
Aduna ba kaninyoy nagaantus? Paampoa siya. Aduna bay nagamalipayon? Paawita siya sa pagdayeg.
14 Is any sicke among you? Let him call for the Elders of the Church, and let them pray for him, and anoynt him with oyle in the Name of the Lord.
Aduna ba kaninyoy nagamasakiton? Ipakuha niya ang mga anciano sa iglesia, ug paampoa sila alang kaniya, nga magahaplas kaniya lanaug tungod sa ngalan sa Ginoo;
15 And the prayer of faith shall saue the sicke, and the Lord shall raise him vp: and if he haue committed sinnes, they shalbe forgiuen him.
ug ang pag-ampo nga inubanag pagtoo magaayo sa masakiton, ug siya pagabangonon sa Ginoo; ug kon siya nakasala man, siya pagapasayloon.
16 Acknowledge your faultes one to another, and pray one for another, that ye may be healed: for the prayer of a righteous man auaileth much, if it be feruent.
Busa ngadto sa usa ug usa magsinugiray kamo sa inyong mga sala, ug pag-ampo kamo alang sa usa ug usa, aron kamo mangaayo. Ang pagpangamuyo sa tawong matarung dakug kahimoan inig-ampo niya.
17 Helias was a man subiect to like passions as we are, and he prayed earnestly that it might not rayne, and it rayned not on the earth for three yeeres and sixe moneths.
Si Elias maoy usa ka tawo nga sama kanatog kinaiya, ug siya nag-ampo pag-ayo nga dili unta mag-ulan, ug wala tuod mag-ulan sa yuta sulod sa tulo ka tuig ug unom ka bulan.
18 And he prayed againe, and the heauen gaue rayne, and the earth brought forth her fruite.
Unya siya nag-ampo pag-usab ug ang langit nagpaulan, ug ang yuta mipaani sa iyang abut.
19 Brethren, if any of you hath erred from the trueth, and some man hath conuerted him,
Mga igsoon ko, kon aduna kaninyoy mahisalaag gikan sa kamatuoran ug may usa nga makapabalik kaniya,
20 Let him know that he which hath conuerted the sinner from going astray out of his way, shall saue a soule from death, and shall hide a multitude of sinnes.
pahibaloa siya nga bisan kinsang tawhana nga makapabalik sa makasasala gikan sa pagkahisalaag niini sa iyang dalan, magaluwas sa kalag niini gikan sa kamatayon ug magatabon siyag daghang mga sala.
