Isaiah 7
1 And in the dayes of Ahaz, the sonne of Iotham, the sonne of Vzziah king of Iudah, Rezin the King of Aram came vp, and Pekah the sonne of Remaliah King of Israel, to Ierusalem to fight against it, but he could not ouercome it.
Aconteció que en los días de Acaz, hijo de Joatán, hijo de Ocías, rey de Judá, subió Rasín, rey de Siria, con Facee, hijo de Romelías, rey de Israel, a Jerusalén, para hacer guerra contra ella, pero no pudo tomarla.
2 And it was tolde the house of Dauid, saying, Aram is ioyned with Ephraim: therefore his heart was moued, and the heart of his people, as the trees of the forest are moued by the winde.
Y dieron aviso a la casa de David, diciendo: “Acampó Siria en Efraím”; y tembló su corazón, y el corazón de su pueblo, como tiemblan los árboles de la selva agitados por el viento.
3 Then sayde the Lord vnto Isaiah, Goe foorth nowe to meete Ahaz (thou and Sheariashub thy sonne) at the ende of the conduit of the vpper poole, in the path of the fullers fielde,
Entonces dijo Yahvé a Isaías: “Sal al encuentro de Acaz, tú y Schearyaschub, tu hijo, al extremo del acueducto de la piscina superior, en el camino del campo del batanero.
4 And say vnto him, Take heede, and be still: feare not, neither be faint hearted for the two tailes of these smoking firebrands, for the furious wrath of Rezin and of Aram, and of Remaliahs sonne:
Y le dirás: “Ponte en guardia, quédate tranquilo; no temas ni se desaliente tu corazón, a causa de estos dos cabos de tizones humeantes; a causa de la ira ardiente de Rasín, de Siria y del hijo de Romelías.
5 Because Aram hath taken wicked counsell against thee, and Ephraim, and Remaliahs sonne, saying,
Porque ha proyectado mal contra ti Siria, Efraím y el hijo de Romelías, diciendo:
6 Let vs goe vp against Iudah, and let vs waken them vp, and make a breach therein for vs, and set a King in the mids thereof, euen the sonne of Tabeal.
“Subamos contra Judá, aterroricémoslo, apoderémonos de él y démosle por rey al hijo de Tabeel.”
7 Thus sayth the Lord God, It shall not stand, neither shall it be.
Así dice Yahvé el Señor: “Esto no se llevará a cabo, ni se hará.
8 For the head of Aram is Damascus, and the head of Damascus is Rezin: and within fiue and threescore yeere, Ephraim shalbe destroyed from being a people.
Porque cabeza de Siria es Damasco, y cabeza de Damasco, Rasín; faltan todavía sesenta y cinco años y Efraím será quebrantado, y dejará de ser pueblo.
9 And the head of Ephraim is Samaria, and the head of Samaria is Remaliahs sonne. If ye beleeue not, surely ye shall not be established.
Y cabeza de Efraím es Samaria, y cabeza de Samaria, el hijo de Romelías. Si no creyereis, no subsistiréis.”
10 And the Lord spake againe vnto Ahaz, saying,
Volvió a hablar Yahvé a Acaz, diciendo:
11 Aske a signe for thee of the Lord thy God: aske it, either in the depth beneath or in the height aboue. (Sheol h7585)
“Pide para ti una señal de parte de Yahvé tu Dios; en lo profundo del scheol, o arriba en lo alto.” (Sheol h7585)
12 But Ahaz sayd, I wil not aske, neither will I tempt the Lord.
Mas Acaz respondió: “No pediré, ni tentaré a Yahvé.”
13 Then he sayd, Heare you nowe, O house of Dauid, Is it a small thing for you to grieue men, that ye will also grieue my God?
Dijo entonces (el profeta): “Oíd, pues, casa de David: ¿acaso os es poca cosa molestar a los hombres, que molestáis también a mi Dios?
14 Therefore the Lord himselfe will giue you a signe. Beholde, the virgine shall conceiue and beare a sonne, and she shall call his name Immanu-el.
Por tanto el Señor mismo os dará una señal: He aquí que la virgen concebirá y dará a luz un hijo, y le pondrá por nombre Emmanuel.
15 Butter and hony shall he eate, till he haue knowledge to refuse the euill, and to chuse the good.
Comerá leche cuajada y miel hasta que sepa repudiar el mal y elegir el bien.
16 For afore the childe shall haue knowledge to eschew the euill, and to chuse the good, the land, that thou abhorrest, shalbe forsaken of both her Kings.
Porque antes que sepa el niño repudiar el mal y elegir el bien, será abandonada la tierra, ante cuyos dos reyes tú tienes miedo.
17 The Lord shall bring vpon thee, and vpon thy people, and vpon thy fathers house (the dayes that haue not come from the day that Ephraim departed from Iudah) euen the King of Asshur.
Pero Yahvé hará venir sobre ti, sobre tu pueblo, y sobre la casa de tu padre, días cuales nunca han venido desde el día que Efraím se apartó de Judá; pues (hará venir) al rey de Asiria.”
18 And in that day shall the Lord hisse for the flie that is at the vttermost part of the floods of Egypt, and for the bee which is in the lande of Asshur,
En aquel día Yahvé atraerá con un silbido a la mosca que está en los cabos de los ríos de Egipto, y la abeja que está en la tierra de Asiria.
19 And they shall come and shall light all in the desolate valleys, and in the holes of the rockes, and vpon all thorny places, and vpon all bushy places.
Ellas vendrán y se posarán todas en los valles escarpados, en las hendiduras de las rocas, en todos los zarzales y en todos los matorrales.
20 In that day shall the Lord shaue with a rasor that is hired, euen by them beyond the Riuer, by the King of Asshur, the head and the heare of the feete, and it shall consume the beard.
En aquel día rasurará el Señor por medio de una navaja alquilada del otro lado del río, a saber, por medio del rey de Asiria, la cabeza y el pelo de los pies; y arrancara también la barba.
21 And in the same day shall a man nourish a yong kow, and two sheepe.
En aquel día un hombre no criará más que una vaca y dos ovejas;
22 And for the abundance of milke, that they shall giue, hee shall eate butter: for butter and hony shall euery one eate, which is left within the land.
y cuando le den abundancia de leche, comerá leche cuajada. Pues leche cuajada y miel comerán todos los que quedaren en el país.
23 And at the same day euery place, wherein shalbe a thousand vines, shalbe at a thousand pieces of siluer: so it shalbe for the briers and for the thornes.
En aquel día sucederá que todo lugar en donde había mil vides, por valor de mil siclos, será convertido en zarzal y abrojos.
24 With arrowes and with bowe shall one come thither: because all the land shall be briers and thornes.
Por allá se andará con flechas y arco; pues el país entero será zarzal y espinas.
25 But on all the mountaines, which shalbe digged with the mattocke, there shall not come thither the feare of briers and thornes: but they shalbe for the sending out of bullocks, and for the treading of sheepe.
Y todos los montes que (ahora) se labran con azada, quedarán abandonados por temor de las zarzas y espinas; serán para pasto de bueyes, y para ser hollados por ovejas.
