Isaiah 7
1 And in the dayes of Ahaz, the sonne of Iotham, the sonne of Vzziah king of Iudah, Rezin the King of Aram came vp, and Pekah the sonne of Remaliah King of Israel, to Ierusalem to fight against it, but he could not ouercome it.
੧ਤਦ ਅਜਿਹਾ ਹੋਇਆ ਕਿ ਉੱਜ਼ੀਯਾਹ ਦੇ ਪੋਤਰੇ, ਯੋਥਾਮ ਦੇ ਪੁੱਤਰ ਆਹਾਜ਼ ਜੋ ਯਹੂਦਾਹ ਦਾ ਰਾਜਾ ਸੀ, ਉਸ ਦੇ ਦਿਨਾਂ ਵਿੱਚ ਅਰਾਮ ਦਾ ਰਾਜੇ ਰਸੀਨ ਅਤੇ ਇਸਰਾਏਲ ਦੇ ਰਾਜੇ ਰਮਲਯਾਹ ਦਾ ਪੁੱਤਰ ਪਕਹ ਨੇ ਯਰੂਸ਼ਲਮ ਉੱਤੇ ਚੜ੍ਹਾਈ ਕੀਤੀ ਤਾਂ ਜੋ ਉਸ ਦੇ ਵਿਰੁੱਧ ਯੁੱਧ ਕਰਨ, ਪਰ ਉਹ ਨੂੰ ਜਿੱਤ ਨਾ ਸਕੇ।
2 And it was tolde the house of Dauid, saying, Aram is ioyned with Ephraim: therefore his heart was moued, and the heart of his people, as the trees of the forest are moued by the winde.
੨ਜਦ ਦਾਊਦ ਦੇ ਘਰਾਣੇ ਨੂੰ ਦੱਸਿਆ ਗਿਆ ਕਿ ਅਰਾਮ ਇਫ਼ਰਾਈਮ ਰਾਜ ਨਾਲ ਮਿਲ ਗਿਆ ਹੈ, ਤਾਂ ਆਹਾਜ਼ ਦਾ ਅਤੇ ਉਹ ਦੀ ਪਰਜਾ ਦਾ ਦਿਲ ਅਜਿਹਾ ਕੰਬ ਗਿਆ, ਜਿਵੇਂ ਜੰਗਲੀ ਦਰੱਖਤ ਪੌਣ ਦੇ ਅੱਗੇ ਕੰਬ ਜਾਂਦੇ ਹਨ।
3 Then sayde the Lord vnto Isaiah, Goe foorth nowe to meete Ahaz (thou and Sheariashub thy sonne) at the ende of the conduit of the vpper poole, in the path of the fullers fielde,
੩ਤਦ ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਨੇ ਯਸਾਯਾਹ ਨੂੰ ਆਖਿਆ, ਤੂੰ ਅਤੇ ਤੇਰਾ ਪੁੱਤਰ ਸ਼ਆਰ ਯਾਸ਼ੂਬ ਉੱਪਰਲੇ ਤਲਾਬ ਦੇ ਸੂਏ ਦੇ ਸਿਰੇ ਉੱਤੇ ਧੋਬੀ ਘਾਟ ਦੇ ਰਾਹ ਤੇ ਆਹਾਜ਼ ਨੂੰ ਮਿਲੋ
4 And say vnto him, Take heede, and be still: feare not, neither be faint hearted for the two tailes of these smoking firebrands, for the furious wrath of Rezin and of Aram, and of Remaliahs sonne:
੪ਅਤੇ ਤੂੰ ਉਹ ਨੂੰ ਆਖ, ਖ਼ਬਰਦਾਰ, ਚੁੱਪ ਰਹਿ ਅਤੇ ਨਾ ਡਰ! ਇਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਚੁਆਤੀਆਂ ਦੇ ਦੋਹਾਂ ਸੁਲਗਦੇ ਟੁੰਡਾਂ ਤੋਂ ਅਰਥਾਤ ਰਮਲਯਾਹ ਦੇ ਪੁੱਤਰ ਅਰਾਮ ਅਤੇ ਰਸੀਨ ਦੇ ਬਲਦੇ ਕ੍ਰੋਧ ਤੋਂ ਤੇਰਾ ਦਿਲ ਘਬਰਾ ਨਾ ਜਾਵੇ,
5 Because Aram hath taken wicked counsell against thee, and Ephraim, and Remaliahs sonne, saying,
੫ਕਿਉਂ ਜੋ ਅਰਾਮ ਅਤੇ ਰਮਲਯਾਹ ਦੇ ਪੁੱਤਰ ਅਤੇ ਇਫ਼ਰਾਈਮ ਨੇ ਤੇਰੇ ਵਿਰੁੱਧ ਬਦੀ ਦੀ ਯੋਜਨਾ ਬਣਾਈ ਹੈ ਅਤੇ ਆਖਿਆ,
6 Let vs goe vp against Iudah, and let vs waken them vp, and make a breach therein for vs, and set a King in the mids thereof, euen the sonne of Tabeal.
੬ਆਓ, ਅਸੀਂ ਯਹੂਦਾਹ ਉੱਤੇ ਹਮਲਾ ਕਰਕੇ ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਘਬਰਾ ਦੇਈਏ ਅਤੇ ਉਹ ਦੇ ਵਿੱਚ ਫੁੱਟ ਪਾ ਕੇ ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਆਪਸ ਵਿੱਚ ਵੰਡ ਲਈਏ ਅਤੇ ਟਾਬਲ ਦੇ ਪੁੱਤਰ ਨੂੰ ਉਹ ਦੇ ਵਿੱਚ ਰਾਜਾ ਬਣਾਈਏ।
7 Thus sayth the Lord God, It shall not stand, neither shall it be.
੭ਪਰ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਇਹ ਫ਼ਰਮਾਉਂਦਾ ਹੈ, ਇਹ ਯੋਜਨਾ ਸਫ਼ਲ ਨਹੀਂ ਹੋਵੇਗੀ ਅਤੇ ਨਾ ਹੀ ਪੂਰੀ ਹੋਵੇਗੀ,
8 For the head of Aram is Damascus, and the head of Damascus is Rezin: and within fiue and threescore yeere, Ephraim shalbe destroyed from being a people.
੮ਕਿਉਂ ਜੋ ਅਰਾਮ ਦਾ ਸਿਰ ਦੰਮਿਸ਼ਕ ਹੈ ਅਤੇ ਦੰਮਿਸ਼ਕ ਦਾ ਸਿਰ ਰਸੀਨ ਹੈ, ਪਰ ਪੈਂਹਠ ਸਾਲਾਂ ਦੇ ਅੰਦਰ ਇਫ਼ਰਾਈਮ ਅਜਿਹਾ ਟੁੱਕੜੇ-ਟੁੱਕੜੇ ਕੀਤਾ ਜਾਵੇਗਾ ਕਿ ਉਹ ਕੌਮ ਹੀ ਨਾ ਰਹੇਗੀ।
9 And the head of Ephraim is Samaria, and the head of Samaria is Remaliahs sonne. If ye beleeue not, surely ye shall not be established.
੯ਇਫ਼ਰਾਈਮ ਦਾ ਸਿਰ ਸਾਮਰਿਯਾ ਹੈ ਅਤੇ ਸਾਮਰਿਯਾ ਦਾ ਸਿਰ ਰਮਲਯਾਹ ਦਾ ਪੁੱਤਰ ਹੈ। ਜੇਕਰ ਤੁਸੀਂ ਪਰਤੀਤ ਨਾ ਕਰੋਗੇ ਤਾਂ ਤੁਸੀਂ ਸੱਚ-ਮੁੱਚ ਕਾਇਮ ਨਾ ਰਹੋਗੇ।
10 And the Lord spake againe vnto Ahaz, saying,
੧੦ਫੇਰ ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਨੇ ਆਹਾਜ਼ ਨੂੰ ਇਹ ਵੀ ਆਖਿਆ,
11 Aske a signe for thee of the Lord thy God: aske it, either in the depth beneath or in the height aboue. (Sheol h7585)
੧੧ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਆਪਣੇ ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ ਤੋਂ ਕੋਈ ਨਿਸ਼ਾਨ ਮੰਗ, ਭਾਵੇਂ ਡੂੰਘਿਆਈ ਵਿੱਚ ਭਾਵੇਂ ਉਤਾਹਾਂ ਉਚਿਆਈ ਵਿੱਚ ਮੰਗ, (Sheol h7585)
12 But Ahaz sayd, I wil not aske, neither will I tempt the Lord.
੧੨ਪਰ ਆਹਾਜ਼ ਨੇ ਆਖਿਆ, ਮੈਂ ਨਹੀਂ ਮੰਗਾਂਗਾ ਅਤੇ ਮੈਂ ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਨੂੰ ਨਹੀਂ ਪਰਤਾਵਾਂਗਾ।
13 Then he sayd, Heare you nowe, O house of Dauid, Is it a small thing for you to grieue men, that ye will also grieue my God?
੧੩ਤਦ ਯਸਾਯਾਹ ਨੇ ਆਖਿਆ, ਹੇ ਦਾਊਦ ਦੇ ਘਰਾਣੇ, ਸੁਣ। ਭਲਾ, ਮਨੁੱਖਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਖੇਚਲ ਦੇਣਾ, ਇਹ ਤੁਹਾਡੇ ਲਈ ਛੋਟੀ ਗੱਲ ਹੈ? ਕੀ ਹੁਣ ਤੁਸੀਂ ਮੇਰੇ ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ ਨੂੰ ਵੀ ਖੇਚਲ ਦਿਓਗੇ?
14 Therefore the Lord himselfe will giue you a signe. Beholde, the virgine shall conceiue and beare a sonne, and she shall call his name Immanu-el.
੧੪ਇਸ ਲਈ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਆਪ ਤੁਹਾਨੂੰ ਇੱਕ ਨਿਸ਼ਾਨ ਦੇਵੇਗਾ। ਵੇਖੋ, ਇੱਕ ਕੁਆਰੀ ਗਰਭਵਤੀ ਹੋਵੇਗੀ ਅਤੇ ਪੁੱਤਰ ਜਣੇਗੀ ਅਤੇ ਉਹ ਉਸ ਦਾ ਨਾਮ ਇੰਮਾਨੂਏਲ ਰੱਖੇਗੀ।
15 Butter and hony shall he eate, till he haue knowledge to refuse the euill, and to chuse the good.
੧੫ਉਹ ਦਹੀਂ ਅਤੇ ਸ਼ਹਿਦ ਖਾਵੇਗਾ ਜਿਸ ਸਮੇਂ ਤੱਕ ਉਹ ਬਦੀ ਨੂੰ ਰੱਦਣਾ ਅਤੇ ਨੇਕੀ ਨੂੰ ਚੁਣਨਾ ਨਾ ਜਾਣੇ।
16 For afore the childe shall haue knowledge to eschew the euill, and to chuse the good, the land, that thou abhorrest, shalbe forsaken of both her Kings.
੧੬ਕਿਉਂ ਜੋ ਇਸ ਤੋਂ ਪਹਿਲਾਂ ਕਿ ਉਹ ਮੁੰਡਾ ਬਦੀ ਨੂੰ ਰੱਦਣਾ ਅਤੇ ਨੇਕੀ ਨੂੰ ਚੁਣਨਾ ਜਾਣੇ, ਉਹ ਭੂਮੀ ਛੱਡੀ ਜਾਵੇਗੀ, ਜਿਸ ਦੇ ਦੋਹਾਂ ਰਾਜਿਆਂ ਤੋਂ ਤੂੰ ਘਬਰਾਉਂਦਾ ਹੈਂ।
17 The Lord shall bring vpon thee, and vpon thy people, and vpon thy fathers house (the dayes that haue not come from the day that Ephraim departed from Iudah) euen the King of Asshur.
੧੭ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਤੇਰੇ ਉੱਤੇ, ਤੇਰੇ ਲੋਕਾਂ ਉੱਤੇ ਅਤੇ ਤੇਰੇ ਪਿਤਾ ਦੇ ਘਰਾਣੇ ਉੱਤੇ ਅਜਿਹੇ ਦਿਨ ਲੈ ਆਵੇਗਾ, ਜਿਹੇ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦਿਨਾਂ ਤੋਂ ਨਹੀਂ ਆਏ ਜਦੋਂ ਇਫ਼ਰਾਈਮ ਯਹੂਦਾਹ ਤੋਂ ਅਲੱਗ ਹੋ ਗਿਆ ਸੀ, ਅਰਥਾਤ ਅੱਸ਼ੂਰ ਦੇ ਰਾਜੇ ਦੇ ਦਿਨ।
18 And in that day shall the Lord hisse for the flie that is at the vttermost part of the floods of Egypt, and for the bee which is in the lande of Asshur,
੧੮ਅਜਿਹਾ ਹੋਵੇਗਾ ਕਿ ਉਸ ਦਿਨ ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਉਸ ਮੱਖੀ ਲਈ ਜਿਹੜੀ ਮਿਸਰ ਦੀਆਂ ਨਦੀਆਂ ਦੇ ਸਿਰੇ ਤੇ ਹੈ ਅਤੇ ਉਸ ਮਧੂਮੱਖੀ ਨੂੰ ਜਿਹੜੀ ਅੱਸ਼ੂਰ ਦੇ ਦੇਸ ਵਿੱਚ ਹੈ, ਸੀਟੀ ਵਜਾ ਕੇ ਬੁਲਾਵੇਗਾ।
19 And they shall come and shall light all in the desolate valleys, and in the holes of the rockes, and vpon all thorny places, and vpon all bushy places.
੧੯ਫੇਰ ਉਹ ਸਭ ਆਉਣਗੀਆਂ ਅਤੇ ਢਾਲੂ ਵਾਦੀਆਂ ਵਿੱਚ, ਚੱਟਾਨਾਂ ਦੀਆਂ ਤੇੜਾਂ ਵਿੱਚ ਅਤੇ ਸਾਰੇ ਕੰਡਿਆਂ ਉੱਤੇ ਅਤੇ ਸਾਰੀਆਂ ਝਾੜੀਆਂ ਉੱਤੇ ਬੈਠ ਜਾਣਗੀਆਂ।
20 In that day shall the Lord shaue with a rasor that is hired, euen by them beyond the Riuer, by the King of Asshur, the head and the heare of the feete, and it shall consume the beard.
੨੦ਉਸ ਦਿਨ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਉਸ ਉਸਤਰੇ ਨਾਲ ਜਿਹੜਾ ਦਰਿਆ ਦੇ ਪਾਰੋਂ ਭਾੜੇ ਤੇ ਲਿਆ ਗਿਆ ਹੈ ਅਰਥਾਤ ਅੱਸ਼ੂਰ ਦੇ ਰਾਜੇ ਨਾਲ, ਸਿਰ ਅਤੇ ਪੈਰਾਂ ਦੇ ਵਾਲ਼ ਮੁੰਨ ਸੁੱਟੇਗਾ ਅਤੇ ਦਾੜ੍ਹੀ ਵੀ ਮੁੰਨ ਦੇਵੇਗਾ।
21 And in the same day shall a man nourish a yong kow, and two sheepe.
੨੧ਤਦ ਅਜਿਹਾ ਹੋਵੇਗਾ ਕਿ ਉਸ ਦਿਨ ਇੱਕ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਇੱਕ ਵੱਛੀ ਤੇ ਦੋ ਭੇਡਾਂ ਪਾਲੇਗਾ
22 And for the abundance of milke, that they shall giue, hee shall eate butter: for butter and hony shall euery one eate, which is left within the land.
੨੨ਅਤੇ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦੇ ਦੁੱਧ ਦੀ ਵਾਫ਼ਰੀ ਦੇ ਕਾਰਨ ਉਹ ਦਹੀਂ ਖਾਵੇਗਾ ਕਿਉਂਕਿ ਜਿੰਨੇ ਵੀ ਉਸ ਦੇਸ ਵਿੱਚ ਬਾਕੀ ਰਹਿ ਜਾਣਗੇ ਉਹ ਦਹੀਂ ਤੇ ਸ਼ਹਿਦ ਖਾਇਆ ਕਰਨਗੇ।
23 And at the same day euery place, wherein shalbe a thousand vines, shalbe at a thousand pieces of siluer: so it shalbe for the briers and for the thornes.
੨੩ਅਤੇ ਉਸ ਦਿਨ ਹਰੇਕ ਥਾਂ ਜਿੱਥੇ ਹਜ਼ਾਰ ਵੇਲਾਂ ਹੁੰਦੀਆਂ ਸਨ, ਜਿਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦਾ ਮੁੱਲ ਹਜ਼ਾਰ ਚਾਂਦੀ ਦੇ ਸ਼ਕੇਲ ਹੁੰਦਾ ਸੀ, ਉੱਥੇ ਕੰਡੇ ਅਤੇ ਕੰਡਿਆਲੇ ਹੀ ਹੋਣਗੇ।
24 With arrowes and with bowe shall one come thither: because all the land shall be briers and thornes.
੨੪ਤੀਰਾਂ ਅਤੇ ਧਣੁੱਖਾਂ ਨਾਲ ਲੋਕ ਉੱਥੇ ਆਉਣਗੇ ਕਿਉਂਕਿ ਸਾਰਾ ਦੇਸ ਕੰਡਿਆਂ ਤੇ ਕੰਡਿਆਲਿਆਂ ਨਾਲ ਭਰਿਆ ਹੋਵੇਗਾ
25 But on all the mountaines, which shalbe digged with the mattocke, there shall not come thither the feare of briers and thornes: but they shalbe for the sending out of bullocks, and for the treading of sheepe.
੨੫ਅਤੇ ਸਾਰੇ ਟਿੱਬੇ ਜਿਹੜੇ ਕਹੀ ਨਾਲ ਪੁੱਟੇ ਜਾਂਦੇ ਸਨ, ਉੱਥੇ ਕੰਡਿਆਂ ਤੇ ਕੰਡਿਆਲਿਆਂ ਦੇ ਡਰ ਤੋਂ ਤੁਸੀਂ ਨਾ ਜਾਓਗੇ ਪਰ ਉਹ ਬਲ਼ਦਾਂ ਦੀਆਂ ਰੱਖਾਂ ਅਤੇ ਭੇਡਾਂ ਦੀ ਚਾਰਗਾਹ ਹੋਣਗੇ।
