Isaiah 63
1 Who is this that commeth from Edom, with red garments from Bozrah? hee is glorious in his apparel and walketh in his great strength: I speake in righteousnesse, and am mightie to saue.
Quem é este, que vem de Edom, de Bozra, com vestes salpicadas de vermelho, este ornado em sua vestimenta, que marcha com grande força? Eu, o que falo em justiça, poderoso para salvar.
2 Wherefore is thine apparel red, and thy garments like him that treadeth in ye wine presse?
Por que tu estás de roupa vermelha, e tuas vestes como de alguém que pisa em uma prensa de uvas?
3 I haue troden the wine presse alone, and of all people there was none with mee: for I will treade them in mine anger, and tread them vnder foote in my wrath, and their blood shalbe sprinkled vpon my garments, and I will staine all my raiment.
Eu sozinho pisei na prensa de uvas, e ninguém dos povos houve comigo; e os pisei em minha ira, e os esmaguei em meu furor; e o sangue deles salpicou sobre minhas roupas, e sujei toda a minha roupa.
4 For the day of vengeance is in mine heart, and the yeere of my redeemed is come.
Porque o dia da vingança estava em meu coração; e o ano de meus redimidos havia chegado.
5 And I looked, and there was none to helpe, and I wondered that there was none to vpholde: therefore mine owne arme helped me, and my wrath it selfe sustained me.
E olhei, e não havia quem [me] ajudasse; e me espantei de que não houvesse quem [me] apoiasse; por isso meu braço me trouxe a salvação, e meu furor me apoiou.
6 Therefore I wil tread downe the people in my wrath, and make them drunken in mine indignation, and wil bring downe their strength to the earth.
E atropelei os povos em minha ira, e os embebedei em meu furor; e fiz descer o sangue deles até a terra.
7 I wil remember the mercies of the Lord and the prayses of the Lord according vnto all that the Lord hath giuen vs, and for the great goodnesse toward the house of Israel, which hee hath giuen them according to his tender loue, and according to his great mercies.
Farei menção das bondades do SENHOR, [e] dos louvores ao SENHOR, conforme tudo quanto o SENHOR fez para nós; e do grande bem à casa de Israel, que ele tem lhes concedido segundo suas misericórdias, e segundo a abundância de suas bondades;
8 For he saide, Surely they are my people, children that wil not lie: so he was their Sauiour.
Pois ele dizia: Certamente eles são meu povo, são filhos que não mentirão; assim ele se tornou o Salvador deles.
9 In all their troubles he was troubled, and the Angel of his presence saued them: in his loue and in his mercie he redeemed them, and he bare them and caried them alwayes continually.
Em toda a angústia deles, ele [também] se angustiou, e o anjo de sua presença os salvou; por seu amor e por sua piedade ele os redimiu; e os tomou, e os carregou [em] todos os dias antigos.
10 But they rebelled and vexed his holy Spirit: therefore was hee turned to be their enemie and he fought against them.
Porém eles foram rebeldes, e entristeceram seu Espírito Santo; por isso ele se tornou inimigo deles, [e] ele mesmo lutou contra eles.
11 Then he remembred the olde time of Moses and his people, saying, Where is hee that brought them vp out of the Sea with the shepheard of his sheepe? where is he that put his holy Spirit within him?
Contudo ele se lembrou dos dias antigos, de Moisés, [e] de seu povo. Onde está aquele que os fez subir do mar com os pastores de seu rebanho? Onde está aquele que punha no meio deles seu Espírito Santo?
12 He led them by the right hand of Moses with his owne glorious arme, deuiding the water before them, to make himselfe an euerlasting Name.
[Onde está] aquele que fez seu glorioso braço andar à direita de Moisés, que dividiu as águas perante a presença deles, para fazer seu nome eterno;
13 Hee led them through the deepe, as an horse in the wildernesse, that they should not stumble,
Que os guiou pelos abismos como cavalo no deserto, [de tal modo que] nunca tropeçaram?
14 As the beast goeth downe into the valley, the Spirite of the Lord gaue them rest: so diddest thou leade thy people, to make thy selfe a glorious Name.
Tal como um animal que desce aos vales, o Espírito do SENHOR lhes deu descanso; assim guiaste a teu povo, para fazeres teu nome ser glorioso.
15 Looke downe from heauen, and beholde from the dwelling place of thine holines, and of thy glory. Where is thy zeale and thy strength, the multitude of thy mercies, and of thy compassions? they are restrained from me.
Olha desde os céus, e vê desde tua santa e gloriosa habitação; onde está teu zelo e tuas forças? A comoção dos sentimentos de teu interior e de tuas misericórdias se retiveram para comigo.
16 Doutles thou art our Father: though Abraham be ignorant of vs, and Israel knowe vs not, yet thou, O Lord, art our Father, and our redeemer: thy Name is for euer.
Porém tu és nosso Pai, porque Abraão não sabe de nós, nem Israel nos conhece. Tu, SENHOR, és nosso Pai; desde os tempos antigos o teu nome é Nosso Redentor.
17 O Lord, why hast thou made vs to erre from thy wayes? and hardened our heart from thy feare? Returne for thy seruants sake, and for the tribes of thine inheritance.
Por que, ó SENHOR, tu nos fazes andar fora de teus caminhos? Por que endureces nosso coração para que não tenhamos temor a ti? Volta, por favor a teus servos, às tribos de tua herança.
18 The people of thine holinesse haue possessed it, but a litle while: for our aduersaries haue troden downe thy Sanctuarie.
Por um pouco de tempo teu santo povo [a] possuiu; nossos adversários pisaram teu santuário.
19 We haue bene as they, ouer whome thou neuer barest rule, and vpon whom thy Name was not called.
Nós nos tornamos [como aqueles] de quem nunca dominaste, [semelhantes] aos que nunca foram chamados pelo teu nome.
