Isaiah 62
1 For Zions sake I will not holde my tongue, and for Ierusalems sake I wil not rest, vntil the righteousnes thereof breake foorth as the light, and saluation thereof as a burning lampe.
Um Zions willen darf ich nicht schweigen und um Jerusalems willen mir keine Ruhe gönnen, bis seine Gerechtigkeit aufgeht wie Lichtglanz und sein Heil wie eine brennende Fackel,
2 And the Gentiles shall see thy righteousnesse, and all Kings thy glory: and thou shalt be called by a new name, which the mouth of the Lord shall name.
und bis die Völker deine Gerechtigkeit sehen und alle Könige deine Herrlichkeit und man dir einen neuen Namen beilegt, den der Mund des HERRN bestimmen wird.
3 Thou shalt also be a crowne of glory in the hand of the Lord, and a royall diademe in the hand of thy God.
Dann wirst du eine prachtvolle Krone in der Hand des HERRN sein und eine königliche Kopfbinde in der Hand deines Gottes;
4 It shall no more be sayd vnto thee, Forsaken, neither shall it be said any more to thy land, Desolate, but thou shalt be called Hephzi-bah, and thy land Beulah: for the Lord deliteth in thee, and thy land shall haue an husband.
und man wird dich nicht mehr ›die Verlassene‹ nennen und dein Land nicht mehr als ›Verödung‹ bezeichnen, sondern man wird dich ›Mein Wohlgefallen haftet an ihr‹ nennen und dein Land ›die Vermählte‹; denn der HERR hat Gefallen an dir, und dein Land stellt seine Gattin dar.
5 For as a yong man marieth a virgine, so shall thy sonnes marry thee: and as a bridegrome is glad of the bride, so shall thy God reioyce ouer thee.
Denn wie der Jüngling sich mit der Jungfrau vermählt, so werden deine Söhne sich mit dir vermählen, und wie der Bräutigam seine Freude an der Braut hat, so wird dein Gott Freude über dich empfinden.
6 I haue set watchmen vpon thy walles, O Ierusalem, which all the day and all the night continually shall not cease: ye that are mindfull of the Lord, keepe not silence,
»Über deine Mauern, Jerusalem, habe ich Wächter bestellt, die den ganzen Tag und die ganze Nacht hindurch keinen Augenblick schweigen sollen.« Ihr, die ihr den HERRN erinnern sollt: gönnt euch keine Ruhe
7 And giue him no rest, till hee repaire and vntill hee set vp Ierusalem the prayse of the worlde.
und gewährt auch ihm keine Ruhe, bis er sich dazu bereit macht und Jerusalem zu einer Berühmtheit auf der Erde macht.
8 The Lord hath sworne by his right hand and by his strong arme, Surely I wil no more giue thy corne to be meate for thine enemies, and surely the sonnes of the strangers shall not drinke thy wine, for the which thou hast laboured.
Geschworen hat der HERR bei seiner Rechten und bei seinem starken Arm: »Ich will fortan dein Getreide deinen Feinden nicht mehr zur Nahrung hingeben, und niemals wieder sollen Ausländer deinen Wein trinken, um den du dich gemüht hast;
9 But they that haue gathered it, shall eate it, and prayse the Lord, and the gatherers thereof shall drinke it in the courtes of my Sanctuarie.
nein, die (das Korn) eingeerntet haben, sollen es auch verzehren und den HERRN dabei preisen; und die (den Wein) gelesen haben, sollen ihn auch trinken in den Vorhöfen meines Heiligtums.«
10 Go through, go through the gates: prepare you the way for the people: cast vp, cast vp the way, and gather out the stones and set vp a standart for the people.
Zieht aus, zieht aus durch die Tore! Bereitet dem Volk den Weg! Bahnet, bahnet die Straße, räumt die Steine weg, pflanzt ein Panier für die Völker auf!
11 Beholde, the Lord hath proclaimed vnto the endes of the world: tell the daughter Zion, Beholde, thy Sauiour commeth: beholde, his wages is with him, and his worke is before him.
Sehet, der HERR hat den Befehl bis ans Ende der Erde erschallen lassen: »Sagt der Tochter Zion: ›Siehe, dein Heil kommt, siehe, sein Lohn kommt mit ihm, und seine Vergeltung geht vor ihm her!‹«
12 And they shall call them, The holy people, the redeemed of the Lord, and thou shalt be named, A citie sought out and not forsaken.
Und man wird sie nennen ›das heilige Volk‹, ›die durch den HERRN Erlösten‹; dich selbst aber wird man nennen ›die Vielbesuchte‹, ›die nicht (mehr) verlassene Stadt‹.
