Isaiah 62
1 For Zions sake I will not holde my tongue, and for Ierusalems sake I wil not rest, vntil the righteousnes thereof breake foorth as the light, and saluation thereof as a burning lampe.
Je ne me tairai point sur Sion; je ne cesserai de parler de Jérusalem, jusqu'à ce que la lumière de sa justice ait paru, et que mon salut soit allumé comme une lampe.
2 And the Gentiles shall see thy righteousnesse, and all Kings thy glory: and thou shalt be called by a new name, which the mouth of the Lord shall name.
Et les nations verront ta justice, et les rois ta gloire, et on t'appellera d'un nom nouveau, et c'est le Seigneur qui te le donnera.
3 Thou shalt also be a crowne of glory in the hand of the Lord, and a royall diademe in the hand of thy God.
Et tu seras une couronne de beauté dans la main du Seigneur, et un diadème royal dans la main de ton Dieu.
4 It shall no more be sayd vnto thee, Forsaken, neither shall it be said any more to thy land, Desolate, but thou shalt be called Hephzi-bah, and thy land Beulah: for the Lord deliteth in thee, and thy land shall haue an husband.
Et on ne t'appellera plus la Délaissée; et ta terre ne sera plus appelée Déserte. Car tu seras appelée Mon plaisir, et ta terre, la Terre habitée;
5 For as a yong man marieth a virgine, so shall thy sonnes marry thee: and as a bridegrome is glad of the bride, so shall thy God reioyce ouer thee.
Tel le jeune homme demeure avec la vierge qu'il a épousée, tels tes fils résideront en toi; et le Seigneur se réjouira en toi, comme l'époux en son épouse.
6 I haue set watchmen vpon thy walles, O Ierusalem, which all the day and all the night continually shall not cease: ye that are mindfull of the Lord, keepe not silence,
Et sur tes remparts, Jérusalem, j'ai placé tout le jour, et toute la nuit, des sentinelles qui ne cesseront jamais de faire mention du Seigneur
7 And giue him no rest, till hee repaire and vntill hee set vp Ierusalem the prayse of the worlde.
(Car nul n'est semblable à vous), jusqu'à ce qu'il ait affermi son peuple, et fait de Jérusalem la joie de la terre.
8 The Lord hath sworne by his right hand and by his strong arme, Surely I wil no more giue thy corne to be meate for thine enemies, and surely the sonnes of the strangers shall not drinke thy wine, for the which thou hast laboured.
Ainsi a juré le Seigneur par sa gloire, et par la puissance de son bras: Je ne donnerai plus ton pain et tes vivres à tes ennemis; les fils des étrangers ne boiront plus ton vin, fruit de tes fatigues.
9 But they that haue gathered it, shall eate it, and prayse the Lord, and the gatherers thereof shall drinke it in the courtes of my Sanctuarie.
Mais ceux qui auront récolté le froment s'en nourriront, et ils loueront le Seigneur; et ceux qui auront recueilli le vin le boiront dans mes saints parvis.
10 Go through, go through the gates: prepare you the way for the people: cast vp, cast vp the way, and gather out the stones and set vp a standart for the people.
Franchissez mes portes; préparez la voie à mon peuple; ôtez du chemin les pierres d'achoppement; levez l'étendard pour les nations.
11 Beholde, the Lord hath proclaimed vnto the endes of the world: tell the daughter Zion, Beholde, thy Sauiour commeth: beholde, his wages is with him, and his worke is before him.
Car voilà que le Seigneur a proclamé ces mots jusqu'aux extrémités de la terre: Dites à la fille de Sion: Voilà que le Sauveur est venu à toi ayant ses récompenses et son œuvre devant lui.
12 And they shall call them, The holy people, the redeemed of the Lord, and thou shalt be named, A citie sought out and not forsaken.
Et il donnera à ton peuple le nom de peuple saint, racheté par le Seigneur; et tu seras appelée la Ville désirée et non la Ville abandonnée.
