Isaiah 6
1 In the yeere of the death of King Vzziah, I saw also the Lord sitting vpon an high throne, and lifted vp, and the lower partes thereof filled the Temple.
Năm Vua Ô-xia qua đời, tôi thấy Chúa. Ngài ngồi trên ngôi cao vời và áo Ngài đầy khắp Đền Thờ.
2 The Seraphims stoode vpon it: euery one had sixe wings: with twaine he couered his face, and with twaine hee couered his feete, and with twaine he did flie.
Bên trên Ngài có các sê-ra-phim, mỗi sê-ra-phim có sáu cánh. Hai cánh che mặt, hai cánh phủ chân, và hai cánh để bay.
3 And one cryed to another, and sayde, Holy, holy, holy is the Lord of hostes: the whole world is full of his glory.
Các sê-ra-phim cùng nhau tung hô rằng: “Thánh thay, thánh thay, thánh thay là Chúa Hằng Hữu Vạn Quân! Khắp đất tràn đầy vinh quang Ngài!”
4 And the lintles of the doore cheekes moued at the voyce of him that cryed, and the house was filled with smoke.
Tiếng tung hô đó làm rung chuyển các cột trụ, ngạch cửa, và Đền Thờ đầy khói.
5 Then I sayd, Wo is me: for I am vndone, because I am a man of polluted lips, and I dwell in the middes of a people of polluted lips: for mine eyes haue seene the King and Lord of hostes.
Thấy thế, tôi thốt lên: “Khốn khổ cho tôi! Đời tôi hết rồi! Vì tôi là người tội lỗi. Tôi có môi miệng dơ bẩn, và sống giữa một dân tộc môi miệng dơ bẩn. Thế mà tôi dám nhìn Vua là Chúa Hằng Hữu Vạn Quân.”
6 Then flewe one of the Seraphims vnto me with an hote cole in his hand, which he had taken from the altar with the tongs:
Lúc ấy, một trong các sê-ra-phim bay đến, tay cầm than lửa hồng vừa dùng kềm gắp ở bàn thờ.
7 And he touched my mouth, and sayd, Loe, this hath touched thy lips, and thine iniquitie shall be taken away, and thy sinne shalbe purged.
Sê-ra-phim đặt nó trên môi tôi và nói: “Hãy nhìn! Than này đã chạm môi ngươi. Bây giờ lỗi ngươi đã được xóa, tội ngươi được tha rồi.”
8 Also I heard the voyce of the Lord, saying, Whome shall I send? and who shall goe for vs? Then I sayd, Here am I, send me.
Tôi liền nghe tiếng Chúa hỏi: “Ta sẽ sai ai mang sứ điệp cho dân này? Ai sẽ đi cho chúng ta?” Tôi đáp: “Thưa con đây! Xin Chúa sai con!”
9 And he sayd, Goe, and say vnto this people, Ye shall heare in deede, but ye shall not vnderstand: ye shall plainely see, and not perceiue.
Chúa phán: “Hãy đi và nói với dân này: ‘Lắng nghe cẩn thận, nhưng không hiểu. Nhìn kỹ, nhưng chẳng nhận biết.’
10 Make the heart of this people fatte, make their eares heauie, and shut their eyes, lest they see with their eyes, and heare with their eares, and vnderstand with their hearts, and conuert, and he heale them.
Hãy làm cho lòng dân này chai lì. Tai chúng nặng và mắt chúng nhắm lại. Và như thế, mắt chúng sẽ không thấy, tai chúng sẽ không nghe, lòng chúng cũng không hiểu được, và không quay về với Ta để được chữa lành.”
11 Then sayd I, Lord, howe long? And he answered, Vntill the cities be wasted without inhabitant, and the houses without man, and the land be vtterly desolate,
Tôi hỏi: “Thưa Chúa, cho đến bao giờ?” Chúa đáp: “Cho đến khi thành trống không, nhà của chúng bị hoang phế, và đất đai bị hoang vu;
12 And the Lord haue remoued men farre away, and there be a great desolation in the mids of the land.
cho đến khi Chúa Hằng Hữu đuổi mọi người đi, và đất nước Ít-ra-ên bị điêu tàn.
13 But yet in it shalbe a tenth, and shall returne, and shalbe eaten vp as an elme or an oke, which haue a substance in them, when they cast their leaues: so the holy seede shall be the substance thereof.
Dù nếu một phần mười dân còn sót trên đất, dân ấy cũng sẽ bị thiêu đốt. Nhưng như cây thông hay cây sồi bị đốn xuống mà còn chừa gốc, thì gốc Ít-ra-ên sẽ là giống thánh.”
