Isaiah 55
1 Ho, euery one that thirsteth, come ye to the waters, and ye that haue no siluer, come, bye and eate: come, I say, bye wine and milke without siluer and without money.
E! e nga tangata katoa e matewai ana, haere mai ki nga wai! me te tangata kahore ana moni; haere mai, hokona, kainga! Haere mai, hokona he waina, he waiu; kaua he moni, kaua he utu.
2 Wherefore doe ye lay out siluer and not for bread? and your labour without being satisfied? hearken diligently vnto me, and eate that which is good, and let your soule delite in fatnes.

3 Encline your eares, and come vnto me: heare, and your soule shall liue, and I will make an euerlasting couenant with you, euen the sure mercies of Dauid.

4 Beholde, I gaue him for a witnes to the people, for a prince and a master vnto the people.
Nana, kua waiho ia e ahau hei kaiwhakaatu ki nga iwi, hei rangatira, hei kaiwhakahau mo nga tauiwi.
5 Beholde, thou shalt call a nation that thou knowest not, and a nation that knew not thee, shall runne vnto thee, because of the Lord thy God, and the holy one of Israel: for hee hath glorified thee.
Nana, ka karanga koe i te iwi kihai i mohiotia e koe; ka rere mai ano ki a koe nga iwi kahore i mohio ki a koe; mo Ihowa hoki, mo tou Atua, mo te Mea Tapu o Iharaira; nana hoki koe i whakanui.
6 Seeke ye the Lord while he may be found: call ye vpon him while he is neere.
Rapua a Ihowa, kei kitea ana ia: karangatia atu, kei tata ana mai ia.
7 Let the wicked forsake his wayes, and the vnrighteous his owne imaginations, and returne vnto the Lord, and he wil haue mercy vpon him: and to our God, for hee is very ready to forgiue.
Kia whakarere te tangata kino i tona ara, te tangata mahi he i ona whakaaro; kia hoki ki a Ihowa, a ka aroha ia ki a ia; ki to tatou Atua hoki, he nui rawa hoki tana mahi tohu.
8 For my thoughtes are not your thoughts, neither are your wayes my wayes, sayth the Lord.
Ehara hoki oku whakaaro i o koutou whakaaro, o koutou hurarahi i oku huarahi, e ai ta Ihowa.
9 For as ye heauens are higher then the earth, so are my wayes higher then your wayes, and my thoughtes aboue your thoughts.
Ta te mea e ikeike ake ana te rangi i te whenua, waihoki ko oku huarahi e ikeike ake ana i o koutou huarahi, ko oku whakaaro i o koutou whakaaro.
10 Surely as the raine commeth downe and the snow from heauen, and returneth not thither, but watereth the earth and maketh it to bring forth and bud, that it may giue seede to the sower, and bread vnto him that eateth,
Ka rite hoki ki te ua raua ko te hukarere e rere iho ana i te rangi, a e kore e hoki ki reira; engari e whakamakuku ana i te whenua, e mea ana kia whai hua, kia pihi ake, kia homai ano he purapura ma te kaiwhakato, he taro ma te tangata e kai an a:
11 So shall my worde be, that goeth out of my mouth: it shall not returne vnto me voyde, but it shall accomplish that which I will, and it shall prosper in the thing whereto I sent it.
Ka pena ano taku kupu e puta ana i toku mangai: e kore e hoki kau, mai ki ahau; engari ka meatia taku i pai ai, ka taea hoki taku i unga atu ai.
12 Therefore ye shall go out with ioy, and be led forth with peace: the mountaines and the hilles shall breake foorth before you into ioye, and all the trees of the fielde shall clap their handes.
Ta te mea ka haere atu koutou me te hari ano, ka arahina i runga i te rangimarie; ka pakaru mai te waiata a nga maunga, a nga pukepuke, i to koutou aroaro, a ka papaki ringa nga rakau katoa o te whenua.
13 For thornes there shall grow firre trees: for nettles shall growe the myrrhe tree, and it shalbe to the Lord for a name, and for an euerlasting signe that shall not be taken away.
He tataramoa i mua, ka puta ake he kauri; he tumatakuru i mua, ka puta ake he ramarama: a ka waiho hei ingoa ki a Ihowa, hei tohu mo a mua tonu atu, e kore e motuhia.
