Isaiah 43
1 But nowe thus sayeth the Lord, that created thee, O Iaakob: and hee that formed thee, O Israel, Feare not: for I haue redeemed thee: I haue called thee by thy name, thou art mine.
| اما ای اسرائیل، خداوند که تو را آفریده است اینک چنین می‌فرماید: «نترس! زیرا من بهای آزادی تو را پرداخته‌ام. من تو را به نام خوانده‌ام. تو مال من هستی. |
2 When thou passest through the waters, I wil be with thee, and through the floods, that they doe not ouerflowe thee. When thou walkest through the very fire, thou shalt not be burnt, neither shall the flame kindle vpon thee.
| هنگامی که از آبهای عمیق بگذری من با تو خواهم بود. هنگامی که سیل مشکلات بر تو هجوم آورد، نخواهم گذاشت غرق شوی! هنگامی که از میان آتش ظلم و ستم عبور کنی، شعله‌هایش تو را نخواهند سوزاند! |
3 For I am the Lord thy God, the holy one of Israel, thy Sauiour: I gaue Egypt for thy ransome, Ethiopia, and Seba for thee.
| زیرا من یهوه، خدای مقدّس تو هستم و تو را نجات می‌دهم. مصر و حبشه و سبا را فدای آزادی تو می‌کنم. |
4 Because thou wast precious in my sight, and thou wast honourable, and I loued thee, therefore will I giue man for thee, and people for thy sake.
| تمام ممالک جهان را فدای تو خواهم کرد، زیرا تو برای من گرانبها و عزیز هستی و من تو را دوست دارم. |
5 Feare not, for I am with thee: I will bring thy seede from the East, and gather thee from the West.
| «نترس، زیرا من با تو هستم. فرزندانت را از مشرق و مغرب، |
6 I will say to the North, Giue: and to the South, Keepe not backe: bring my sonnes from farre, and my daughters from the ends of the earth.
| از شمال و جنوب جمع خواهم کرد. پسران و دخترانم را از گوشه و کنار جهان برخواهم گردانید. |
7 Euery one shall be called by my Name: for I created him for my glorie, formed him and made him.
| تمام کسانی که مرا خدای خود می‌دانند، خواهند آمد، زیرا ایشان را برای جلال خود آفریده‌ام.» |
8 I will bring foorth the blinde people, and they shall haue eyes, and the deafe, and they shall haue eares.
| خداوند می‌گوید: «قوم مرا که چشم دارند، اما نمی‌بینند و گوش دارند، ولی نمی‌شنوند، به حضور من فرا خوانید. |
9 Let all the nations be gathered together, and let the people be assembled: who among them can declare this and shewe vs former things? let them bring foorth their witnesses, that they may be iustified: but let them heare, and say, It is truth.
| همهٔ قومها را جمع کنید و به آنها بگویید از آن همه بتهایی که دارند، کدام یک هرگز چنین رویدادهایی را پیشگویی کرده است؟ کدام یک می‌تواند بگوید فردا چه می‌شود؟ چه کسی دیده است که آنها یک کلمه حرف بزنند؟ هیچ‌کس گواهی نمی‌دهد، پس باید اعتراف کنند که تنها من می‌توانم از آینده خبر دهم.» |
10 You are my witnesses, saith the Lord, and my seruant, whom I haue chosen: therefore yee shall knowe and beleeue me and yee shall vnderstand that I am: before me there was no God formed, neither shall there be after me.
| خداوند می‌فرماید: «ای اسرائیل، شما شاهدان و خدمتگزاران من هستید. شما را انتخاب کرده‌ام تا مرا بشناسید و ایمان بیاورید و بفهمید که تنها من خدا هستم و خدایی دیگر هرگز نبوده و نیست و نخواهد بود. |
11 I, euen I am the Lord, and beside me there is no Sauiour.
| من خداوند هستم و غیر از من نجات دهنده‌ای نیست. |
12 I haue declared, and I haue saued, and I haue shewed, when there was no strange god among you: therefore you are my witnesses, sayeth the Lord, that I am God.
| من بودم که از آینده خبر می‌دادم و به کمک شما می‌شتافتم. خدای دیگری نبوده که این کارها را برای شما انجام داده است. شما شاهدان من هستید. |
13 Yea, before the day was, I am, and there is none that can deliuer out of mine hand: I will doe it, and who shall let it?
| من خدا هستم و همیشه نیز خدا خواهم بود. کسی نمی‌تواند از دست من بگریزد و هیچ‌کس نمی‌تواند مانع کار من بشود.» |
14 Thus sayeth the Lord your redeemer, the holy one of Israel, For your sake I haue sent to Babel, and brought it downe: they are all fugitiues, and the Chaldeans crie in the shippes.
| خدای مقدّس که خداوند و نجا‌ت‌دهندۀ اسرائیل است می‌فرماید: «ای اسرائیل، برای نجات شما، سپاهی به بابِل می‌فرستم تا بابِلی‌ها را اسیر کرده، آنان را در کشتی‌هایی بریزند که به آنها فخر می‌کردند و از وطنشان دور کنند. |
15 I am the Lord your holy one, the creator of Israel, your King.
| ای اسرائیل، من خدای مقدّس شما هستم. من آفریننده و پادشاه شما هستم. |
16 Thus sayeth the Lord which maketh a way in the Sea, and a path in the mighty waters.
| من همان خداوندی هستم که آبها را کنار زده، از میان دریا راهی باز کردم |
17 When hee bringeth out the charet and horse, the armie and the power lie together, and shall not rise: they are extinct, and quenched as towe.
| و سربازان قوی مصر را با همهٔ ارابه‌ها و اسبانشان بیرون آوردم تا زیر امواج دریا فرو روند و شمع زندگیشان تا ابد خاموش شود. |
18 Remember yee not the former things, neither regard the things of olde.
| «اما آن را فراموش کنید، زیرا در برابر آنچه که می‌خواهم انجام دهم هیچ است! |
19 Behold, I do a new thing: now shall it come foorth: shall you not knowe it? I wil euen make a way in the desert, and floods in the wildernesse.
| می‌خواهم کار تازه و بی‌سابقه‌ای انجام دهم. هم اکنون آن را انجام می‌دهم، آیا آن را نمی‌بینید؟ در بیابان جهان برای قومم جاده‌ای می‌سازم تا به سرزمین خود بازگردند. برای ایشان در صحرا نهرها به وجود می‌آورم! |
20 The wilde beastes shall honour mee, the dragons and the ostriches, because I gaue water in the desert, and floods in the wildernesse to giue drinke to my people, euen to mine elect.
| حیوانات صحرا، شغالها و شترمرغها از من تشکر خواهند کرد که در بیابان به آنها آب می‌دهم. بله، چشمه‌ها در بیابان جاری می‌سازم تا قوم برگزیده‌ام را سیراب کنم. |
21 This people haue I formed for my selfe: they shall shewe foorth my praise.
| ای بنی‌اسرائیل، شما را برای خود به وجود آوردم تا در برابر قومهای دیگر مرا ستایش کنید. |
22 And thou hast not called vpon mee, O Iaakob, but thou hast wearied me, O Israel.
| «ولی ای قوم من، شما مرا ستایش نمی‌کنید و از من خسته شده‌اید. |
23 Thou hast not brought me the sheepe of thy burnt offrings, neither hast thou honoured me with thy sacrifices. I haue not caused thee to serue with an offring, nor wearied thee with incense.
| گوسفند برای قربانی سوختنی به من تقدیم نکرده‌اید. با قربانیهای خود مرا احترام ننموده‌اید. من از شما نخواسته‌ام هدیه و بخور برای من بیاورید، تا باری بر شما نگذاشته باشم و شما را خسته نکرده باشم. |
24 Thou boughtest mee no sweete sauour with money, neither hast thou made mee drunke with the fatte of thy sacrifices, but thou hast made mee to serue with thy sinnes, and wearied mee with thine iniquities.
| نه بخور خوشبو برای من خریده‌اید و نه با تقدیم چربی قربانیها خشنودم کرده‌اید. به جای آنها بار گناهانتان را به من تقدیم کرده‌اید و با خطاهایتان مرا خسته کرده‌اید. |
25 I, euen I am he that putteth away thine iniquities for mine owne sake, and will not remember thy sinnes.
| با وجود این من خدایی هستم که به خاطر خودم گناهان شما را پاک می‌سازم و آنها را دیگر هرگز به یاد نخواهم آورد. |
26 Put me in remembrance: let vs be iudged together: count thou that thou maist be iustified.
| «آیا دلیل قانع کننده‌ای دارید که به من ارائه دهید و ثابت کنید که شما بی‌گناه هستید؟ |
27 Thy first father hath sinned, and thy teachers haue transgressed against me.
| جدّ اول شما نسبت به من گناه ورزید و رهبران شما احکام و قوانین مرا شکستند. |
28 Therefore I haue prophaned the rulers of the Sanctuarie, and haue made Iaakob a curse, and Israel a reproche.
| به همین علّت من کاهنانتان را برکنار نمودم و شما را دچار مصیبت ساختم و گذاشتم تا رسوا شوید.» |
