Isaiah 40
1 Comfort ye, comfort ye my people, will your God say.
तिमीहरूका परमेश्वर भन्नुहुन्छ, “सान्त्वना, मेरा मानिसहरू सान्त्वना ।
2 Speake comfortably to Ierusalem, and crye vnto her, that her warrefare is accomplished, that her iniquitie is pardoned: for she hath receiued of the Lords hand double for all her sinnes.
यरूशलेमसँग कोमलत भएर बोल । अनि त्यसलाई घोषणा गर, त्यसका युद्ध समाप्त भएको छ, त्यसका अधर्म क्षमा गरिएको छ, आफ्ना सबै पापहरूका निम्ति त्यसले परमप्रभुबाट दोब्बर पाएको छ ।”
3 A voyce cryeth in the wildernesse, Prepare ye the way of the Lord: make streight in the desert a path for our God.
एउटा आवाजले कराउँछ, “उजाड-स्थानमा परमप्रभुको बाटो तयार पार । अरबमा हाम्रा परमेश्वरको निम्ति मुल बाटो सोझो बनाओ ।”
4 Euery valley shall be exalted, and euery mountaine and hill shall be made lowe: and the crooked shalbe streight, and the rough places plaine.
हरेक मैदानलाई माथि उठाइनेछ, र हरेक पर्वत र डाँडालाई समतल पारिनेछ । खाल्टाखुल्टी जमिनलाई समतल बनाइनेछ र नमिलेको ठाउँहरूलाई मैदान बनाइनेछ ।
5 And the glory of the Lord shalbe reueiled, and all flesh shall see it together: for the mouth of the Lord hath spoken it.
र परमप्रभुको महिमा प्रकट गरिनेछ र सबै मानिसहरूले एकसाथ यो देख्नेछन् । किनकि परमप्रभुको मुखले यो बोलेको छ ।
6 A voyce saide, Crie. And he saide, What shall I crie? All flesh is grasse, and all the grace thereof is as the floure of the fielde.
एउटा आवाजले भन्छ, “करा ।” अर्कोले जवाफ दिन्छ, “मैले के भनेर कराउने?” सबै प्राणी घाँस हो र तिनीहरूका विश्वस्तताका करार सबै खेतबारीका फुलजस्तै हो ।
7 The grasse withereth, the floure fadeth, because the Spirite of the Lord bloweth vpon it: surely the people is grasse.
यसमाथि परमप्रभुको सास पर्दा घाँस ओइलाउँछ र फुल सुक्छ । निश्चय नै मानवहरू घाँसै हुन् ।
8 The grasse withereth, the floure fadeth: but the worde of our God shall stand for euer.
घाँस ओइलाउँछ, फुल सुक्छ, तर हाम्रा परमेश्वरको वचन सदासर्वदा रहन्छ ।”
9 O Zion, that bringest good tidings, get thee vp into the hie mountaine: O Ierusalem, that bringest good tidings, lift vp thy voyce with strength: lift it vp, be not afraide: say vnto the cities of Iudah, Beholde your God.
ए सुसमाचार ल्याउनेहरू हो, उच्च पहाड सियोनमाथि जाओ । हे यरूशलेम ठुलो सोरमा कराओ । ए सुसमाचार ल्याउनेहरू हो, आफ्ना सोर उचाल, नडराओ । यहूदाका सहरहरूलाई भन, “तिमीहरूका परमेश्वर यहाँ हुनुहुन्छ!”
10 Beholde, the Lord God will come with power, and his arme shall rule for him: beholde, his rewarde is with him, and his worke before him,
हेर, परमप्रभु परमेश्वर विजयी योद्धाझैं आउनुहुन्छ र उहाँका शक्तिशाली बाहुलीले उहाँको निम्ति शासन गर्छ । हेर, उहाको इनाम उहाँसँगै छ र उहाँले उद्धार गर्नुभएकाहरू उहाँको अगि-अगि जान्छन् ।
11 He shall feede his flocke like a shepheard: he shall gather the lambes with his arme, and cary them in his bosome, and shall guide them with young.
एक जना गोठालोले झैं उहाँले आफ्ना बगाललाई खुवाउनुहुनेछ, उहाँले थुमाहरूलाई आफ्नो बाहुलीमा जम्मा गर्नुहुन्छ र तिनीहरूलाई आफ्ना हृदयको छेउमा बोक्नुहुन्छ, अनि पाठाहरूलाई दूध खुवाउने भेडाहरूलाई कोमल भएर डोर्याउनुहुन्छ ।
12 Who hath measured the waters in his fist? and counted heauen with the spanne, and comprehended the dust of the earth in a measure? and weighed ye mountaines in a weight, and the hilles in a balance?
पानीलाई कसले आफ्नो हातमा नापेको छ, आकाशलाई कसले आफ्नो हातले नापेको छ, पृथ्वीको धूलोलाई कसले डालोमा राखेको छ, पहाडहरू वा पर्वतहरूलाई कसले तराजुमा जोखेको छ?
13 Who hath instructed ye Spirit of the Lord? or was his counseler or taught him?
परमप्रभुको मनलाई कसले बुझेको छ, वा उहाँको सल्लाहकार भएर उहाँलाई कसले सिकाएको छ?
14 Of whom tooke he counsell, and who instructed him and taught him in the way of iudgement? or taught him knowledge, and shewed vnto him the way of vnderstanding?
कसबाट उहाँले कुन बेला सुझाव पाउनुभयो? उहाँलाई कुराहरू गर्ने ठिक तरिका कसले सिकाएको छ, अनि उहालाई कसले ज्ञान सिकाएको वा उहाँलाई कसले समझको बाटो देखाएको छ?
15 Beholde, the nations are as a drop of a bucket, and are counted as the dust of the balance: beholde, he taketh away the yles as a litle dust.
हेर, जातिहरू बाल्टीमा एक थोपा पानीजस्तै हुन् र तराजुहरूमा धूलोजस्तै ठानिन्छ । हेर, उहाँलले टापुहरूलाई छेस्कोझैं जोख्नुहुन्छ ।
16 And Lebanon is not sufficient for fire, nor the beastes thereof sufficient for a burnt offering.
लेबनान दउराको निम्ति पर्याप्त छैन न त यसका जङ्गली जनावरहरू होम बलिको निम्ति पर्याप्त छन् ।
17 All nations before him are as nothing, and they are counted to him, lesse then nothing, and vanitie.
उहाँको सामु सबै जातिहरू अपर्याप्त छन् । उहाँले तिनीहरूलाई केही जस्तो पनि ठान्नुहुन्न ।
18 To whom then wil ye liken God? or what similitude will ye set vp vnto him?
तब तिमीहरूले परमेश्वरलाई केसँग तुलना गर्नेछौ? तिमीहरूले उहाँलाई कुन मूर्तीसँग तुलना गर्नेछौ?
19 The workeman melteth an image, or the goldsmith beateth it out in golde, or the goldesmith maketh siluer plates.
एउटा मूर्ती! एक जना कारीगरले यसलाई बनाउँछः सुनारले यसमा सुनको जलप लगाउँछ र यसको निम्ति चाँदीको सिक्री बनाउँछ ।
20 Doeth not the poore chuse out a tree that will not rot, for an oblation? he seeketh also vnto him a cunning workeman, to prepare an image, that shall not be moued.
बलि चढाउनलाई कसैले अग्राखकै दाउरा ल्याउँछ । नढल्ने मूर्ती बनाउन उसले एक जना निपुण कारीगर खोज्छ ।
21 Know ye nothing? haue ye not heard it? hath it not bene tolde you from the beginning? haue ye not vnderstand it by the foundation of the earth?
के तिमीहरूले जानेका छैनौ? के तिमीहरूले सुनेका छैनौ? के सुरुदेखि नै यो कुरा तिमीहरूलाई भनिएको छैन? पृथ्वीको जगहरू बसालेदेखि नै तिमिहरूले बुझेका छैनौ?
22 He sitteth vpon the circle of the earth, and the inhabitants thereof are as grashoppers, hee stretcheth out ye heauens, as a curtaine, and spreadeth them out, as a tent to dwell in.
पृथ्वीको क्षितिजभन्दा माथि विराजमान हुनुहुने उहाँ नै हुनुहुन्छ । अनि यसका बासिन्दाहरू उहाँको सामु फट्याङ्ग्राहरू जस्तै छन् । आकाशहरूलाई उहाँले पर्दाझैं तन्काउनुहुन्छ र तिनीहरूलाई बस्ने पालझैं फिंजाउनुहुन्छ ।
23 He bringeth the princes to nothing, and maketh the iudges of the earth, as vanitie,
उहाँले शासकहरूलाई बकामको बनाउनुहुन्छ र पृथ्वीका शासकहरूलाई नगन्य बनाउनुहुन्छ ।
24 As though they were not plated, as though they were not sowen, as though their stocke tooke no roote in the earth: for he did euen blow vpon them, and they withered, and the whirlewinde will take them away as stubble.
ती रोपिनेबित्तिकै, छरिनेबित्तिकै, तिनका जरा जमिन पर्नेबित्तिकै, जब उहाँले तिमाथि फुक्नुहुन्छ, तब तिनीहरू ओइलाउँन्, र हावाले तिनलाई परालझैं लैजान्छ ।
25 To whom nowe will ye liken me, that I should be like him, saith the Holy one?
परमपवित्र भन्नुहुन्छ, “तब तिमीहरूले मलाई कोसँग तुलना गर्छौ, म कोजस्तो छु?”
26 Lift vp your eyes on hie, and beholde who hath created these things, and bringeth out their armies by nomber, and calleth them all by names? by the greatnesse of his power and mightie strength nothing faileth.
माथि आकाशमा हेर! यी सबै ताराहरूलाई कसले सृजेका हुन्? उहाँले ती बनाउनलाई उहाँले नै नेतृत्व गर्नुहुन्छ र ती सबैको नाउँ काढेर बोलाउनुहुन्छ । उहाँको शक्तिको माहन्ता र उहाँको सामर्थ्यको शक्तिद्वारा एउटा पनि हराएका छैनन् ।
27 Why sayest thou, O Iaakob, and speakest O Israel, My way is hid from the Lord, and my iudgement is passed ouer of my God?
ए याकूब, तँ किन यसो भन्छस्, ए इस्राएल, तँ किन घोषणा गर्छस्, “मेरो बाटो परमप्रभुबाट लुकाइएको छ र मेरो परमेश्वरले मेरो बदलाको वास्ता गर्नुहुन्न”?
28 Knowest thou not? or hast thou not heard, that the euerlasting God, the Lord hath created the endes of the earth? he neither fainteth, nor is wearie: there is no searching of his vnderstanding.
के तैंले जानेका छैनस्? के तैंले सुनेका छैनस्? परमप्रभु अनन्तका परमेश्वर, पृथ्वीको अन्तसम्मका सृष्टिकर्ता थकित वा हैरान बन्नुहुन्न । उहाँको समझको कुनै सिमा छैन ।
29 But he giueth strength vnto him that fainteth, and vnto him that hath no strength, he encreaseth power.
उहाँले थकितहरूलाई बल दिनुहुन्छ । अनि कमजोरहरूलाई उहाँले नयाँ ऊर्जा दिनुहुन्छ ।
30 Euen the yong men shall faint, and be wearie, and the yong men shall stumble and fall.
जवान मानिसहरू पनि थकित र हैरान हुन्छन्, अनि जवानहरूले ठेस खान्छन् र ढल्छन्:
31 But they that waite vpon the Lord, shall renue their strength: they shall lift vp the wings as the eagles: they shall runne, and not be wearie, and they shall walke and not faint.
तर परमप्रभुमा आशा गर्नेहरूले आफ्नो बललाई नयाँ बनाउनेछन् । तिनीहरू चिलहरू झैं पखेटाहरूले माथि-माथि उड्नेछन् । तिनीहरू दौडनेछन् र हैरान हुनेछैनन् । तिनीहरू हिंड्नेछन् र मूर्छा पर्नेछैनन् ।
