Isaiah 37
1 And when the King Hezekiah heard it, he rent his clothes, and put on sackcloth and came into the House of the Lord.
Miabot ang panahon nga sa dihang nadungog ni Haring Hezekias ang ilang balita, gigisi niya ang iyang mga bisti, pagkahuman nagbisti siyag sako, ug miadto sa balay ni Yahweh.
2 And he sent Eliakim the stewarde of the house, aud Shebna the chanceller, with the Elders of the Priestes, clothed in sackcloth vnto Isaiah the Prophet, the sonne of Amoz.
Gipadala niya si Eliakim, nga mao ang gipiyalan sa panimalay, ug si Sebna nga eskriba, ug ang mga katigulangan sa mga pari, silang tanan nagbisti ug sako, ug miadto kang Isaias nga anak ni Amos, nga propeta.
3 And they sayd vnto him, Thus saith Hezekiah, This day is a day of tribulation and of rebuke and blasphemie: for the children are come to the birth, and there is no strength to bring foorth.
Miingon sila kaniya, “Nag-ingon si Hezekias, 'Kini nga adlaw mao ang adlaw sa kaguol, pagbadlong, ug kaulaw, sama nga ang bata andam na nga ihimugso, apan ang inahan walay kusog sa paghimugso sa iyang anak.
4 If so be the Lord thy God hath heard the wordes of Rabshakeh, whom the King of Asshur his master hath sent to raile on the liuing God, and to reproch him with wordes which the Lord thy God hath heard, then lift thou vp thy prayer for the remnant that are left.
Tingali ug madungog ni Yahweh nga imong Dios ang mga pulong sa labawng pangulo, nga gipadala sa hari sa Asiria nga iyang agalon aron sa pagbugalbugal sa buhing Dios, ug badlongon ang mga pulong nga nadungog ni Yahweh nga imong Dios. Karon ipatugbaw ang imong mga pag-ampo alang sa kaliwatan nga ania pa gihapon dinhi.'”
5 So the seruants of the King Hezekiah came to Isaiah.
Busa miadto ang mga sulugoon ni Haring Hezekias ngadto kang Isaias,
6 And Isaiah sayde vnto them, Thus say vnto your master, Thus saith the Lord, Be not afrayd of the wordes that thou hast heard, wherewith the seruants of the king of Asshur haue blasphemed me.
ug giingnan sila ni Isaias, “Ingna ang imong agalon: miingon si Yahweh, “Ayaw kamo kahadlok sa mga pulong nga inyong nadungog, gikan sa mga sulugoon sa hari sa Asiria aron sa pag-insulto kanako.
7 Beholde, I wil send a blast vpon him, and he shall heare a noyse, and returne to his owne land, and I will cause him to fall by the sword in his owne land.
Tan-awa, butangan ko siya ug espiritu, ug makadungog siya ug usa ka balita ug mobalik gayod siya sa iyang kaugalingong yuta. Himoon ko nga mahagba siya pinaagi sa espada ngadto sa iyang kaugalingong yuta.''”
8 So Rabshakeh returned, and found the King of Asshur fighting against Libnah: for he had heard that he was departed from Lachish.
Unya mibalik ang labawng pangulo ug nakaplagan niya ang hari sa Asiria nga nakig-away batok sa Libna, kay nadungog niya nga nakasibat ang hari gikan sa Lakis.
9 He heard also men say of Tirhakah, King of Ethiopia, Beholde, he is come out to fight against thee: and when he heard it, he sent other messengers to Hezekiah, saying,
Unya nadungog ni Senakerib nga si Tirhaka nga hari sa Etiopia ug sa Ehipto nagpundok ug mga tawo aron sa pagpakig-away batok kaniya, busa nagpadala siya pag-usab ug mga mensahero ngadto kang Hezekias uban sa mensahe nga:
10 Thus shall ye speake to Hezekiah King of Iudah, saying, Let not thy God deceiue thee, in whom thou trustest, saying, Ierusalem shall not be giuen into the hand of the King of Asshur.
“Ingna si Hezekias, nga hari sa Juda, 'Ayaw tugoti nga limbongan kamo sa Dios nga inyong gisaligan, nga nag-ingon, “Dili gayod itugyan ang Jerusalem ngadto sa kamot sa hari sa Asiria.”
11 Beholde, thou hast heard what the Kings of Asshur haue done to all lands in destroying them, and shalt thou be deliuered?
Tan-awa, nadungog nimo kung unsa ang gibuhat sa hari sa Asiria sa tanang yuta pinaagi sa pagpukan kanila sa hingpit. Busa maluwas ka kaha?
12 Haue the gods of the nations deliuered them, which my fathers haue destroyed? as Gozan, and Haran, and Rezeph, and the children of Eden, which were at Telassar?
Nakaluwas ba kanila ang mga dios sa mga nasod, ang mga nasod nga gipanglaglag sa akong amahan nga mao ang: Gosan, Haran, Resep, ug ang katawhan sa Eden sa Telasar?
13 Where is the King of Hamath, and the King of Arpad, and the King of the citie of Sepharuaim, Hena and Iuah?
Asa naman ang hari sa Hamat, ang hari sa Arpad, ang hari sa mga lungsod sa Sefarvaim, sa Hena, ug Ivva?'”
14 So Hezekiah receiued the letter of the hand of the messengers and read it, and he went vp into the House of the Lord, and Hezekiah spread it before the Lord.
Nadawat ni Hezekias kini nga sulat gikan sa kamot sa mga mensahero ug iya kining gibasa. Unya mitungas siya ngadto sa balay ni Yahweh ug gibukhad niya kini sa atubangan ni Yahweh.
15 And Hezekiah prayed vnto the Lord, saying,
Nag-ampo si Hezekias ngadto kang Yahweh:
16 O Lord of hostes, God of Israel, which dwellest betweene the Cherubims, thou art very God alone ouer all the kingdomes of the earth: thou hast made the heauen and the earth.
“Yahweh nga labawng makagagahom, ang Dios sa Israel, ikaw nga naglingkod ibabaw sa kerubim, ikaw lamang ang Dios nga labaw sa tanang gingharian sa kalibotan. Ikaw ang nagbuhat sa langit ug sa yuta.
17 Encline thine eare, O Lord, and heare: open thine eyes, O Lord, and see, and heare all the wordes of Saneherib, who hath sent to blaspheme the liuing God.
Ikiling ang imong igdulungog, Yahweh, ug paminawa. Bukha ang imong mga mata, Yahweh, ug tan-awa, pamatia ang mga pulong ni Senakerib, nga iyang gipadala aron sa pagbiaybiay sa buhing Dios.
18 Trueth it is, O Lord, that the Kings of Asshur haue destroyed all lands, and their countrey,
Tinuod gayod, Yahweh, nga gipangpukan sa mga hari sa Asiria ang mga nasod ug ang ilang mga yuta.
19 And haue cast their gods in ye fire: for they were no gods, but the worke of mans hands, euen wood or stone: therefore they destroyed them.
Gipangbutang nila ang ilang mga dios ngadto sa kalayo, tungod kay dili man gayod sila mga dios apan binuhat lamang sa kamot sa mga tawo, mga kahoy lamang ug bato. Busa gilaglag sila sa mga taga-Asiria.
20 Nowe therefore, O Lord our God, saue thou vs out of his hand, that all the kingdomes of the earth may knowe, that thou onely art the Lord.
Busa karon, Yahweh nga among Dios, luwasa kami gikan sa iyang gahom, aron nga ang tanang mga gingharian sa kalibotan masayod nga ikaw si Yahweh ug wala nay lain pa.
21 Then Isaiah the sonne of Amoz sent vnto Hezekiah, saying, Thus sayth the Lord God of Israel, Because thou hast prayed vnto me, concerning Saneherib king of Asshur,
Unya si Isaias nga anak ni Amos nagpadala ug mensahe ngadto kang Hezekias, nga nagkanayon, “Si Yahweh, ang Dios sa Israel nag-ingon, 'Tungod kay nag-ampo ka man kanako kabahin kang Senakerib nga hari sa Asiria,
22 This is the worde that the Lord hath spoken against him, the virgine, the daughter of Zion, hath despised thee, and laughed thee to scorne: the daughter of Ierusalem, hath shaken her head at thee.
mao kini ang pulong nga gisulti ni Yahweh mahitungod kaniya: “Gitamay ka sa berhen nga babayeng anak sa Zion ug nagkatawa uban ang pagtamay kanimo; nagpanglingo ang anak nga babaye sa Jerusalem kanimo.
23 Whome hast thou railed on and blasphemed? and against whome hast thou exalted thy voyce, and lifted vp thine eyes on hie? euen against the holy one of Israel.
Kinsa man ang imong gitamay ug giinsulto? Batok kang kinsa man nimo gipataas ang imong tingog ug gipataas ang imong mga mata uban sa garbo? Batok sa Balaang Dios sa Israel.
24 By thy seruants hast thou railed on the Lord, and sayd, By the multitude of my charets I am come vp to the top of the mountaines to the sides of Lebanon, and will cut downe the hie cedars thereof, and the faire firre trees thereof, and I will goe vp to the heightes of his top and to the forest of his fruitfull places.
Pinaagi sa imong mga sulugoon gibiaybiay nimo ang Ginoo ug miingon ka, 'Uban sa daghan nako nga mga karwahe mitungas ako sa mga habog nga mga kabukiran, sa pinakahabog nga dapit sa Lebanon. Pamutlon ko ang tag-as nga mga kahoyng sedro niini ug mamili ug sepres nga mga kahoy didto, ug mosulod ako sa pinakalayong mga dapit niini, sa dapit diin hilabihan ang pagpamunga sa kalasangan.
25 I haue digged and drunke the waters, and with the plant of my feete haue I dryed all the riuers closed in.
Nagkalot ako ug mga atabay ug nag-inom ug tubig; Gipahubas ko ang tanang kasapaan sa Ehipto ilalom sa mga tikod sa akong mga tiil.'
26 Hast thou not heard howe I haue of olde time made it, and haue formed it long ago? and should I now bring it, that it should be destroyed, and layde on ruinous heapes, as cities defensed?
Wala ka ba makadungog kung giunsa ko kini pagplano sa una pang mga panahon ug gitrabaho kini sa kaniadto pang mga katuigan? Karon ipahamtang ko na kini. Ania ka aron sa pagpakunhod sa mabungahon nga mga siyudad sama sa mga uhot nga mangabungkag.
27 Whose inhabitants haue small power, and are afrayd and confounded: they are like the grasse of the field and greene herbe, or grasse on the house tops, or corne blassed afore it be growen.
Ang ilang mga lumulopyo, nga wala kaayoy kusog, nabungkag ug naulawan. Mga tanom sila sa kaumahan, nga lunhawng mga sagbot, mga sagbot nga anaa sa atop o sa kaumahan, nga gipadpad sa hangin sa sidlakan.
28 But I know thy dwelling, and thy going out, and thy comming in, and thy fury against me.
Apan nasayod ako sa imong paglingkod, sa imong paggawas, sa imong pagsulod, ug ang imong kasuko batok kanako.
29 Because thou ragest against me, and thy tumult is come vnto mine eares, therefore will I put mine hooke in thy nostrels, and my bridle in thy lips, and wil bring thee backe againe the same way thou camest.
Tungod sa imong kasuko kanako, ug tungod kay miabot sa akong mga dalunggan ang imong pagkahambogiro, ibutang ko ang akong kaw-it diha sa imong ilong, ug ang akong rinda diha sa imong baba; pabalikon ko ikaw sama sa pamaagi sa imong pag-abot.”
30 And this shalbe a signe vnto thee, O Hezekiah, Thou shalt eate this yeere such as groweth of it selfe: and the second yeere, such things as growe without sowing: and in the third yeere, sowe ye and reape, and plant vineyards, and eate the fruite thereof.
Mao kini ang timaan alang kanimo: Karon nga tuig magkaon kamo sa mga nanubo sa kalasangan, ug sa ikaduhang tuig sa mga nanubo gikan niana. Apan sa ikatulo nga tuig kinahanglan kamong magtanom ug mag-ani, pagtanom ug mga paras ug kaon sa ilang mga bunga.
31 And the remnant that is escaped of the house of Iudah, shall againe take roote downward and beare fruite vpward.
Ang nahibilin sa panimalay ni Juda nga nakalahutay mangugat pag-usab ug mamunga.
32 For out of Ierusalem shall goe a remnant, and they that escape out of mount Zion: the zeale of the Lord of hostes shall doe this.
Kay gikan sa Jerusalem mogawas ang nahibilin; gikan sa Bukid sa Zion moabot ang mga nakalahutay. Ang kasibot ni Yahweh nga labawng makagagahom mao ang magbuhat niini.'”
33 Therefore thus sayth the Lord, concerning the King of Asshur, He shall not enter into this citie, nor shoote an arrow there, nor come before it with shield, nor cast a mount against it.
Busa nag-ingon si Yahweh niini mahitungod sa hari sa Asiria: “Dili siya makasulod niini nga siyudad, ni makapana padulong dinhi. Ni makaduol niini uban ang taming o makatukod ug patunganan batok niini.
34 By the same way that he came, he shall returne, and not come into this citie, saith the Lord.
Ang paagi nga siya naabot mao usab ang paagi sa iyang pagbiya; dili siya mosulod niini nga siyudad—mao kini ang gisulti ni Yahweh.
35 For I will defend this citie to saue it, for mine owne sake, and for my seruant Dauids sake.
Kay panalipdan ko kining siyudara ug luwason kini, alang sa akong kaugalingong kaayohan ug alang kang David nga akong alagad.”
36 Then the Angel of the Lord went out, and smote in the campe of Asshur an hundreth, fourescore, and fiue thousand: so when they arose early in the morning, beholde, they were all dead corpses.
Unya migawas ang anghel ni Yahweh ug gisulong ang kampo sa mga Asirianhon, gipamatay ang 185, 000 ka mga kasundalohan. Sa pagmata sa mga kalalakin-an sa sayo sa kabuntagon, nakita nila ang mga patayng lawas nga nagbuy-od sa bisan asang dapit.
37 So Saneherib king of Asshur departed, and went away and returned and dwelt at Nineueh.
Busa mibiya sa Israel ug mipauli sa iyang balay ang hari sa Asiria nga si Senakerib ug nagpuyo sa Nenive.
38 And as he was in the temple worshipping of Nisroch his god, Adramelech and Sharezer his sonnes slewe him with the sword, and they escaped into the land of Ararat: and Esarhaddon his sonne reigned in his steade.
Sa wala madugay, samtang nagsimba siya didto sa balay ni Nisrok nga iyang diosdios, ang duha niya ka anak nga mga lalaki nga si Adramelek ug si Sharezer mipatay kaniya gamit ang espada. Unya misibat sila ngadto sa yuta sa Ararat. Ug ang iyang anak nga si Esarhadon maoy mipuli kaniya sa paghari.
