Isaiah 35
1 The desert and the wildernes shall reioyce: and the waste ground shalbe glad and florish as the rose.
Men öknen och ödemarken skall lustig varda, och vildmarken skall glädjas och blomstras, såsom en lilja.
2 It shall florish abundantly and shall greatly reioyce also and ioye: the glory of Lebanon shalbe giuen vnto it: the beautie of Carmel, and of Sharon, they shall see the glory of the Lord, and the excellencie of our God.
Hon skall blomstras och fröjdas i all lust och glädje; ty Libanons härlighet är henne gifven, Carmels och Sarons skönhet. De se Herrans härlighet, vår Guds majestät.
3 Strengthen the weake handes, and comfort the feeble knees.
Stärker de trötta händer, och vederqvicker de magtlösa knä.
4 Say vnto them that are fearefull, Bee you strong, feare not: beholde, your God commeth with vengeance: euen God with a recompense, he will come and saue you.
Säger till de förtviflada hjerta: Varer vid godt mod, frukter eder intet. Si, edar Gud, som vedergäller, han kommer till att hämnas, och skall hjelpa eder.
5 Then shall the eyes of the blinde be lightened, and the eares of the deafe be opened.
Då skola de blindas ögon upplåtne varda, och de döfvas öron skola, öppnade varda.
6 Then shall ye lame man leape as an hart, and the dumme mans tongue shall sing: for in the wildernes shall waters breake out, and riuers in ye desert.
Då skola de halte springa såsom en hjort, och de dumbas tunga skall lofsjunga; ty vatten skola flyta i öknene hit och dit, och strömmar i vildmarkene.
7 And the dry ground shalbe as a poole, and the thirstie (as springs of water in the habitation of dragons: where they lay) shall be a place for reedes and rushes.
Och der tillförene hafver torrt varit, der skola dammar vara, och der vattulöst hafver varit, der skola rinnande källor vara; der tillförene ormar legat hafva, der skall gräs, rö och säf stå.
8 And there shalbe a path and a way, and the way shalbe called holy: the polluted shall not passe by it: for he shalbe with them, and walke in the way, and the fooles shall not erre.
Och der, skall vara en stig och väg, hvilken den helige vägen heta skall, så att ingen oren skall gå deruppå, och den samme skall vara för dem, att man deruppå gå skall; så att ock det fåvitske icke behöfva der ville fara.
9 There shall be no lyon, nor noysome beastes shall ascend by it, neither shall they be found there, that the redeemed may walke.
Der skall intet lejon vara, och intet rifvande djur träda deruppå, eller der funnet varda; utan man skall gå der fri och säker.
10 Therefore the redeemed of the Lord shall returne and come to Zion with prayse: and euerlasting ioy shall bee vpon their heads: they shall obteine ioye and gladnesse, and sorow and mourning shall flee away.
Och Herrans förlöste skola igenkomma, och komma till Zion med glädje; evig fröjd skall vara öfver deras hufvud; lust och glädje skola de få, och värk och suckan måste bortgå.
