Isaiah 35
1 The desert and the wildernes shall reioyce: and the waste ground shalbe glad and florish as the rose.
Freuen sollen sich die Wüste und das dürre Land; die Steppe soll jubeln und aufsprießen wie Krokus!
2 It shall florish abundantly and shall greatly reioyce also and ioye: the glory of Lebanon shalbe giuen vnto it: the beautie of Carmel, and of Sharon, they shall see the glory of the Lord, and the excellencie of our God.
Üppig soll sie aufsprießen und jubeln, ja jubeln und jauchzen! Die Herrlichkeit des Libanon wird ihr geschenkt, die Pracht unseres Gottes.
3 Strengthen the weake handes, and comfort the feeble knees.
Stärkt die lassen Hände und festigt die wankenden Kniee!
4 Say vnto them that are fearefull, Bee you strong, feare not: beholde, your God commeth with vengeance: euen God with a recompense, he will come and saue you.
Sprecht zu denen, die bestürzten Sinnes sind: Seid getrost, habt keine Furcht! Da ist euer Gott! Die Rache kommt, die Vergeltung Gottes! Er selbst kommt und hilft euch.
5 Then shall the eyes of the blinde be lightened, and the eares of the deafe be opened.
Dann werden sich die Augen der Blinden aufthun, und die Ohren der Tauben sich öffnen.
6 Then shall ye lame man leape as an hart, and the dumme mans tongue shall sing: for in the wildernes shall waters breake out, and riuers in ye desert.
Dann wird der Lahme springen wie ein Hirsch, und die Zunge des Stummen wird jauchzen; denn in der Wüste brechen Wasser hervor, und Bäche in der Steppe,
7 And the dry ground shalbe as a poole, and the thirstie (as springs of water in the habitation of dragons: where they lay) shall be a place for reedes and rushes.
und die Kimmung wird zum Teich und das durstige Land zu Wasserquellen. An der Stätte der Schakale, an ihrem Lager, entsteht ein Gehege für Schilf und Rohr.
8 And there shalbe a path and a way, and the way shalbe called holy: the polluted shall not passe by it: for he shalbe with them, and walke in the way, and the fooles shall not erre.
Und eine gebahnte Straße wird es dort geben; der heilige Weg wird sie heißen, kein Unreiner wird sie betreten. Er selbst wird für sie des Weges ziehn; so werden auch Thörichte nicht irren.
9 There shall be no lyon, nor noysome beastes shall ascend by it, neither shall they be found there, that the redeemed may walke.
Nicht wird es dort Löwen geben, noch werden reißende Tiere zu ihr hinauf steigen; keines läßt sich dort betreffen, und sicher wandeln die Erlösten.
10 Therefore the redeemed of the Lord shall returne and come to Zion with prayse: and euerlasting ioy shall bee vpon their heads: they shall obteine ioye and gladnesse, and sorow and mourning shall flee away.
Jahwes Befreite kehren heim und gelangen nach Zion mit Jauchzen, und ewige Freude umschwebt ihr Haupt. Wonne und Freude erlangen sie, Kummer und Seufzen entfliehn.
