Isaiah 35
1 The desert and the wildernes shall reioyce: and the waste ground shalbe glad and florish as the rose.
Le désert et la terre aride se réjouiront. Le désert se réjouira et fleurira comme une rose.
2 It shall florish abundantly and shall greatly reioyce also and ioye: the glory of Lebanon shalbe giuen vnto it: the beautie of Carmel, and of Sharon, they shall see the glory of the Lord, and the excellencie of our God.
Il fleurira abondamment, et se réjouissent même avec joie et en chantant. La gloire du Liban lui sera donnée, l'excellence du Carmel et du Sharon. Ils verront la gloire de Yahvé, l'excellence de notre Dieu.
3 Strengthen the weake handes, and comfort the feeble knees.
Renforcez les mains faibles, et raffermir les genoux fragiles.
4 Say vnto them that are fearefull, Bee you strong, feare not: beholde, your God commeth with vengeance: euen God with a recompense, he will come and saue you.
Dites à ceux qui ont le cœur craintif: « Soyez forts! N'ayez pas peur! Voici que votre Dieu viendra avec la vengeance, le châtiment de Dieu. Il viendra et vous sauvera.
5 Then shall the eyes of the blinde be lightened, and the eares of the deafe be opened.
Alors les yeux des aveugles s'ouvriront, et les oreilles des sourds seront débouchées.
6 Then shall ye lame man leape as an hart, and the dumme mans tongue shall sing: for in the wildernes shall waters breake out, and riuers in ye desert.
Alors le boiteux sautera comme un cerf, et la langue du muet chantera; car les eaux éclateront dans le désert, et des ruisseaux dans le désert.
7 And the dry ground shalbe as a poole, and the thirstie (as springs of water in the habitation of dragons: where they lay) shall be a place for reedes and rushes.
Le sable brûlant deviendra une mare, et le sol assoiffé des sources d'eau. L'herbe avec les roseaux et les joncs sera dans l'habitation des chacals, où ils pondent.
8 And there shalbe a path and a way, and the way shalbe called holy: the polluted shall not passe by it: for he shalbe with them, and walke in the way, and the fooles shall not erre.
Une autoroute sera là, une route, et elle s'appellera « La voie sacrée ». Les impurs ne passeront pas dessus, mais ce sera pour ceux qui marchent dans le Chemin. Les méchants fous ne doivent pas y aller.
9 There shall be no lyon, nor noysome beastes shall ascend by it, neither shall they be found there, that the redeemed may walke.
Aucun lion ne sera là, et aucun animal vorace ne montera dessus. On ne les trouvera pas là; mais les rachetés y marcheront.
10 Therefore the redeemed of the Lord shall returne and come to Zion with prayse: and euerlasting ioy shall bee vpon their heads: they shall obteine ioye and gladnesse, and sorow and mourning shall flee away.
Alors les rachetés de Yahvé reviendront, et venez en chantant à Sion; et une joie éternelle sera sur leurs têtes. Ils obtiendront l'allégresse et la joie, et la tristesse et les soupirs s'en iront. »
