Isaiah 26
1 In that day shall this song be sung in the land of Iudah, We haue a strong citie: saluation shall God set for walles and bulwarkes.
An jenem Tage wird im Lande Jehudahs dies Lied gesungen: Wir haben eine starke Stadt. Zum Heile stellet Er Mauern und Vormauer.
2 Open ye the gates that the righteous nation, which keepeth the trueth, may enter in.
Öffnet die Tore, daß einziehe eine gerechte Völkerschaft, welche die Treue hält;
3 By an assured purpose wilt thou preserue perfite peace, because they trusted in thee.
Dem stetigen Gemüte bewahrst Du Frieden, den Frieden; denn es vertraut auf Dich.
4 Trust in the Lord for euer: for in the Lord God is strength for euermore.
Vertrauet auf Jehovah fort und fort, denn in Jah Jehovah ist der Fels der Ewigkeiten.
5 For hee will bring downe them that dwell on hie: the hie citie he will abase: euen vnto the ground wil he cast it downe, and bring it vnto dust.
Denn Er beugt, die in der Höhe wohnen; die emporragende Stadt niedrigt Er; Er niedrigt sie bis zur Erde, bringt sie nieder bis in den Staub.
6 The foote shall treade it downe, euen the feete of the poore, and the steppes of the needie.
Der Fuß zerstampft sie, die Füße des Elenden, die Fußtritte des Armen.
7 The way of the iust is righteousnesse: thou wilt make equall the righteous path of the iust.
Gerade ist des Gerechten Pfad; gerade ebnest Du das Geleise des Gerechten.
8 Also we, O Lord, haue waited for thee in the way of thy iudgemets: the desire of our soule is to thy Name, and to the remembrance of thee.
Auch auf dem Pfade Deiner Gerichte, o Jehovah, haben wir auf Dich gehofft, nach Deinem Namen und nach Deinem Gedächtnis ist der Seele Sehnen.
9 With my soule haue I desired thee in the night, and with my spirit within mee will I seeke thee in the morning: for seeing thy iudgements are in the earth, the inhabitants of the world shall learne righteousnesse.
Nach Dir sehnt sich meine Seele in der Nacht, auch sucht nach Dir mein Geist in meinem Inneren in der Frühe; denn wie Deine Gerichte auf der Erde, lernen Gerechtigkeit, die in der Welt wohnen.
10 Let mercie bee shewed to the wicked, yet hee will not learne righteousnesse: in the land of vprightnesse will he do wickedly, and will not beholde the maiestie of the Lord.
Begnadigt man den Ungerechten, so lernt er nicht Gerechtigkeit. Im Land der Nichtigkeit tut er Verkehrtheit und sieht nicht die Hoheit Jehovahs.
11 O Lord, they will not beholde thine hie hande: but they shall see it, and bee confounded with the zeale of the people, and the fire of thine enemies shall deuoure them.
Erhöht ist, Jehovah, Deine Hand, sie erschauen es nicht. Sie werden es erschauen und sich schämen ob dem Eifer des Volkes; ja, Feuer fresse sie, Deine Dränger.
12 Lord, vnto vs thou wilt ordeine peace: for thou also hast wrought all our workes for vs.
Jehovah, Du bestellst Frieden für uns; denn auch alles unser Tun hast Du für uns gewirkt.
13 O Lord our God, other lords beside thee, haue ruled vs, but we will remember thee onely, and thy Name.
Jehovah, unser Gott, gemustert haben uns Herren außer Dir, in Dir allein gedenken wir Deines Namens.
14 The dead shall not liue, neither shall the dead arise, because thou hast visited and scattered them, and destroyed all their memorie.
Die Toten leben nicht auf, die Rephaim erstehen nicht, weil Du sie heimsuchtest, sie vernichtetest, und lässest verzehren all ihr Gedächtnis.
15 Thou hast increased the nation, O Lord: thou hast increased the nation: thou art made glorious: thou hast enlarged all the coastes of the earth.
Hinzugetan hast Du, Jehovah, zu der Völkerschaft, hinzugetan zu der Völkerschaft, Du wardst verherrlicht, all des Landes Enden hast Du fern gemacht.
16 Lord, in trouble haue they visited thee: they powred out a prayer when thy chastening was vpon them.
Jehovah, in der Bedrängnis suchten sie Dich, gossen ihr Flüstern aus, als Du sie züchtigtest.
17 Like as a woman with childe, that draweth neere to the trauaile, is in sorow, and cryeth in her paines, so haue we bene in thy sight, O Lord.
Wie einer Schwangeren, wenn es nahet, daß sie gebären soll: sie kreißet, schreit in ihren Geburtsnöten, also waren wir vor Deinem Angesichte, o Jehovah.
18 We haue coceiued, we haue borne in paine, as though we should haue brought forth winde: there was no helpe in the earth, neither did the inhabitants of the world fall.
Wir empfingen, wir kreißten und gebaren gleich wie Wind; doch kein Heil taten wir dem Land, und die Bewohner des Erdkreises fielen nicht.
19 Thy dead men shall liue: euen with my body shall they rise. Awake, and sing, ye that dwel in dust: for thy dewe is as the dew of herbes, and the earth shall cast out the dead.
Es werden leben Deine Toten, auferstehen mein Leichnam; erwachet und jubelt ihr Bewohner des Staubes; denn ein Tau der Pflanzen ist Dein Tau, aber das Land der Rephaim stürzest Du hinab.
20 Come, my people: enter thou into thy chambers, and shut thy doores after thee: hide thy selfe for a very litle while, vntill the indignation passe ouer.
Gehe hin, mein Volk, gehe hinein in deine Kammern, schließ deine Türe hinter dir, verstecke dich einen kleinen Augenblick, bis daß der Unwille vorüber ist.
21 For lo, the Lord commeth out of his place, to visite the iniquitie of the inhabitants of the earth vpon them: and the earth shall disclose her blood, and shall no more hide her slaine.
Denn siehe, Jehovah geht aus von seinem Orte, daß Er die Missetat der Bewohner der Erde heimsuche; und die Erde wird ihr Blut aufdecken und nicht mehr bedecken ihre Erwürgten.
