Isaiah 26
1 In that day shall this song be sung in the land of Iudah, We haue a strong citie: saluation shall God set for walles and bulwarkes.
Nianang adlawa pagaawiton kini nga awit diha sa yuta sa Juda: Aduna kami lig-on nga siyudad; gihimo sa Dios ang kaluwasan ingon mga paril ug mga salipdanan.
2 Open ye the gates that the righteous nation, which keepeth the trueth, may enter in.
Ablihi ang mga ganghaan, aron makasulod ang matarong nga nasod nga nagtipig sa ilang pagtuo.
3 By an assured purpose wilt thou preserue perfite peace, because they trusted in thee.
Ang hunahuna nga nagpabilin kanimo, pagatipigan nimo siya sa hingpit nga kalinaw, kay nagasalig siya kanimo.
4 Trust in the Lord for euer: for in the Lord God is strength for euermore.
Salig kang Yahweh hangtod sa kahangtoran; kay kang Yah, si Yahweh, usa ka bato nga walay kataposan.
5 For hee will bring downe them that dwell on hie: the hie citie he will abase: euen vnto the ground wil he cast it downe, and bring it vnto dust.
Kay ipaubos niya kadtong nagkinabuhi nga mapahitas-on; tumpagon niya ngadto sa yuta ang lig-ong siyudad; itupong niya kini sa abog.
6 The foote shall treade it downe, euen the feete of the poore, and the steppes of the needie.
Tamak-tamakan kini sa mga kabos ug mga timawa.
7 The way of the iust is righteousnesse: thou wilt make equall the righteous path of the iust.
Patag ang dalan sa matarong, Matarong nga Dios; gihimo nimong tul-id ang dalan sa matarong.
8 Also we, O Lord, haue waited for thee in the way of thy iudgemets: the desire of our soule is to thy Name, and to the remembrance of thee.
Oo, maghulat kami kanimo Yahweh diha sa dalan sa imong mga paghukom; gitinguha namo ang imong ngalan ug ang imong kadungganan.
9 With my soule haue I desired thee in the night, and with my spirit within mee will I seeke thee in the morning: for seeing thy iudgements are in the earth, the inhabitants of the world shall learne righteousnesse.
Nagtinguha ako kanimo diha sa kagabhion; oo, nangita gayod kanimo sa tinuoray ang akong espiritu sulod kanako. Kay sa dihang moabot na ang imong mga paghukom dinhi sa kalibotan, makakat-on ang lumolupyo sa kalibotan mahitungod sa pagkamatarong.
10 Let mercie bee shewed to the wicked, yet hee will not learne righteousnesse: in the land of vprightnesse will he do wickedly, and will not beholde the maiestie of the Lord.
Tugoti nga ang pabor mapakita ngadto sa daotan, apan dili siya makakat-on sa pagkamatarong. Nagbuhat siya ug daotan sa yuta sa pagkamatarong ug wala makakita sa kahalangdon ni Yahweh.
11 O Lord, they will not beholde thine hie hande: but they shall see it, and bee confounded with the zeale of the people, and the fire of thine enemies shall deuoure them.
Yahweh, gipataas ang imong kamot, apan wala sila nakamatikod. Apan makita nila ang imong pagkamainiton alang sa katawhan ug mapakaulawan sila, tungod kay lamoyon sila sa kalayo sa imong mga kaaway.
12 Lord, vnto vs thou wilt ordeine peace: for thou also hast wrought all our workes for vs.
Yahweh, magdala ka ug kalinaw alang kanamo; kay sa pagkatinuod, gitapos mo usab ang tanan namong mga bulohaton alang kanamo.
13 O Lord our God, other lords beside thee, haue ruled vs, but we will remember thee onely, and thy Name.
Yahweh nga among Dios, gawas kanimo nagdumala ang ubang mga agalon nganhi kanamo; apan ang imong ngalan lamang ang among daygon.
14 The dead shall not liue, neither shall the dead arise, because thou hast visited and scattered them, and destroyed all their memorie.
Patay na sila, dili na sila mabuhi; patay na sila, dili na sila mobangon. Sa pagkatinuod, mianhi ka sa paghukom ug paglaglag kanila, ug gihanaw ang matag handomanan nila.
15 Thou hast increased the nation, O Lord: thou hast increased the nation: thou art made glorious: thou hast enlarged all the coastes of the earth.
Gipadaghan mo ang mga nasod, Yahweh, gipadaghan mo ang mga nasod; gitahod ikaw; gipalapdan mo ang tanang utlanan sa yuta.
16 Lord, in trouble haue they visited thee: they powred out a prayer when thy chastening was vpon them.
Yahweh, mangita sila kanimo panahon sa kalisdanan; mag-ampo sila sa hilom sa dihang anaa kanila ang imong pagpanton.
17 Like as a woman with childe, that draweth neere to the trauaile, is in sorow, and cryeth in her paines, so haue we bene in thy sight, O Lord.
Sama sa mabdos nga babaye nga hapit na manganak, sa dihang magbati siya ug maghilak sa hilabihang kasakit sa pagpanganak, sama usab nga anaa kami diha sa imong atubangan, Ginoo.
18 We haue coceiued, we haue borne in paine, as though we should haue brought forth winde: there was no helpe in the earth, neither did the inhabitants of the world fall.
Namabdos kami, nagbati kami, apan daw sama lamang nga naghimugso kami sa hangin. Wala kami nagdala ug kaluwasan ngadto sa yuta, ug wala nangapukan ang mga lumolupyo sa kalibotan.
19 Thy dead men shall liue: euen with my body shall they rise. Awake, and sing, ye that dwel in dust: for thy dewe is as the dew of herbes, and the earth shall cast out the dead.
Mabuhi ang imong patay, mobangon ang ilang mga patay nga lawas. Pagmata ug pag-awit sa kalipay, kamo nga nagpuyo sa abog; kay ang imong yamog mao ang yamog sa kahayag, ug banhawon sa kalibotan ang mga patay niini.
20 Come, my people: enter thou into thy chambers, and shut thy doores after thee: hide thy selfe for a very litle while, vntill the indignation passe ouer.
Lakaw, akong katawhan, sulod kamo sa inyong mga lawak ug sirad-i ang inyong mga pultahan; tago sa makadiyot, hangtod nga mahanaw ang hilabihang kasuko.
21 For lo, the Lord commeth out of his place, to visite the iniquitie of the inhabitants of the earth vpon them: and the earth shall disclose her blood, and shall no more hide her slaine.
Kay tan-awa, mogawas na si Yahweh sa iyang dapit aron sa pagsilot sa mga lumolupyo sa kalibotan alang sa ilang kasal-anan; ipakita na sa yuta ang naula nga mga dugo niini, ug dili na tabonan pa ang iyang mga gipamatay.
