< Isaiah 23 >

1 The burden of Tyrus. Howle, yee shippes of Tarshish: for it is destroied, so that there is none house: none shall come from the lande of Chittim: it is reueiled vnto them.
Ĩno nĩyo ndũmĩrĩri nditũ ĩkoniĩ itũũra rĩa Turo: Atĩrĩrĩ, inyuĩ marikabu cia Tarishishi, ta girĩkai. Nĩgũkorwo itũũra rĩa Turo nĩrĩanange, rĩgatigwo rĩtarĩ nyũmba kana gĩcukĩro kĩa marikabu. Ũhoro ũcio nĩũmakinyĩire marĩ o kũu bũrũri wa Kitimu.
2 Be still, yee that dwell in the yles: the marchantes of Zidon, and such as passe ouer the sea, haue replenished thee.
Atĩrĩrĩ, inyuĩ andũ a gĩcigĩrĩra, na inyuĩ onjorithia a Sidoni, ta kirai o inyuĩ mũtongetio nĩ andũ arĩa mageragĩra iria-inĩ.
3 The seede of Nilus growing by the abundance of waters, and the haruest of the riuer was her reuenues, and she was a marte of the nations.
Kũu maaĩ-inĩ maingĩ nĩkuo kwageragĩrio ngano ya Shihoru, namo magetha ma Nili nĩmo maarĩ uumithio wa itũũra rĩa Turo, narĩo rĩgĩtuĩka ndũnyũ ya ndũrĩrĩ.
4 Be ashamed, thou Zidon: for the sea hath spoken, euen the strength of the sea, saying, I haue not trauailed, nor brought forth children, neither nourished yong men, nor brought vp virgins.
Atĩrĩrĩ wee Sidoni, o nawe, kĩĩhitho kĩrũmu kĩa iria-inĩ, conokai, nĩgũkorwo iria nĩrĩarĩtie rĩkoiga atĩrĩ: “Niĩ ndirĩ ndagĩa na ruo rwa kũrũmwo, kana ngaciara; ndirĩ ndaarera aanake, kana ngarera airĩtu.”
5 When the fame commeth to the Egyptians, they shall be sorie, concerning the rumour of Tyrus.
Hĩndĩ ĩrĩa ũhoro ũcio ũgaakinya bũrũri wa Misiri, andũ akuo nĩmakaagĩa na ruo rũnene mũno maigua ũhoro ũcio wa Turo.
6 Goe you ouer to Tarshish: howle, yee that dwell in the yles.
Atĩrĩrĩ, ringai mũthiĩ mũrĩmo wa Tarishishi, ta girĩkai inyuĩ mũtũũraga kũu gĩcigĩrĩra-inĩ.
7 Is not this that your glorious citie? her antiquitie is of ancient daies: her owne feete shall leade her afarre off to be a soiourner.
Rĩĩrĩ nĩrĩo itũũra rĩanyu inene rĩa ikeno cia ũrĩĩu, itũũra inene rĩa kuuma tene, o tene mũno, itũũra rĩrĩa andũ aarĩo maathiĩte na magũrũ magatũũre mabũrũri ma andũ a kũraya mũno?
8 Who hath decreed this against Tyrus (that crowneth men) whose marchantes are princes? whose chapmen are the nobles of the worlde?
Nũũ waciirĩire atĩ itũũra rĩa Turo rĩũkĩrĩrwo, o itũũra rĩu rĩheanaga tanji cia ũthamaki, o rĩo onjorithia a rĩo arĩ ariũ a athamaki, na endia a rĩo marĩ igweta thĩ yothe?
9 The Lord of hostes hath decreed this, to staine the pride of all glorie, and to bring to contempt all them that be glorious in the earth.
Jehova Mwene-Hinya-Wothe nĩwe waciirĩire ũndũ ũcio, nĩgeetha aniine mwĩtĩĩo wa riiri wothe, na aconorithie andũ arĩa othe marĩ igweta a gũkũ thĩ.
10 Passe through thy lande like a flood to the daughter of Tarshish: there is no more strength.
Atĩrĩrĩ, wee mwarĩ wa Tarishishi, thiĩ ũkarĩme bũrũri waku o ta ũrĩa kũrĩmĩtwo hũgũrũrũ-inĩ cia Rũũĩ rwa Nili, tondũ rĩu ndũrĩ na gĩcukĩro kĩa marikabu rĩngĩ.
11 He stretched out his hand vpon the sea: he shooke the kingdomes: the Lord hath giuen a commandement concerning the place of marchandise, to destroy the power thereof.
Jehova nĩatambũrũkĩtie guoko gwake igũrũ rĩa iria, na agatũma mothamaki marĩo mainaine. Nĩathanĩte atĩ ciĩgitĩro iria nũmu cia Foinike cianangwo.
12 And he saide, Thou shalt no more reioyce when thou art oppressed: O virgin daughter of Zidon: rise vp, goe ouer vnto Chittim: yet there thou shalt haue no rest.
Akoiga atĩrĩ, “Wee mwarĩ gathirange wa Sidoni ikeno ciaku cia ũrĩĩu nĩ thiru, rĩu ũrĩ mũhehenje! “Ũkĩra ũringe, ũthiĩ ũkinye Kitimu; no rĩrĩ, o na kũu ndũkoona ũhurũko.”
13 Behold the lande of the Caldeans: this was no people: Asshur founded it by the inhabitantes of the wildernesse: they set vp the towers thereof: they raised the palaces thereof and hee brought it to ruine.
Ta rora bũrũri wa Ababuloni, andũ acio rĩu maagĩĩte kĩene! Ashuri magũtuĩte gĩikaro kĩa nyamũ cia werũ; nĩmaakire mĩthiringo mĩraihu na igũrũ ya kũrĩthiũrũrũkĩria, na magĩtiga ciĩgitĩro ciao itarĩ kĩndũ, magĩtũma bũrũri ũcio wanangĩke biũ.
14 Howle yee shippes of Tarshish, for your strength is destroyed.
Atĩrĩrĩ, inyuĩ marikabu cia Tarishishi, ta girĩkai; nĩgũkorwo gĩikaro kĩanyu nĩkĩanange.
15 And in that day shall Tyrus bee forgotten seuentie yeeres, (according to the yeeres of one King) at the ende of seuentie yeeres shall Tyrus sing as an harlot.
Hĩndĩ ĩyo itũũra rĩa Turo nĩrĩkariganĩra mĩaka mĩrongo mũgwanja, o ta ũrĩa matukũ ma mũthamaki ũmwe maigana. No mĩaka mĩrongo mũgwanja yathira-rĩ, Turo gũgaacooka kũhaana ta mũmaraya ũrĩa ũganagwo na rwĩmbo ta ũũ:
16 Take an harpe and go about the citie: (thou harlot thou hast beene forgotten) make sweete melodie, sing moe songes that thou maiest be remembred.
“Oya kĩnanda kĩa mũgeeto, ũtuĩkanie itũũra inene, wee mũmaraya ũyũ ũtũũrĩte ũriganĩire; Hũũra kĩnanda kĩa mũgeeto wega, ũine nyĩmbo nyingĩ, nĩgeetha ũririkanwo.”
17 And at the ende of seuentie yeres shall the Lord visite Tyrus, and shee shall returne to her wages, and shall commit fornication with all the kingdomes of the earth, that are in the world.
Mĩaka mĩrongo mũgwanja yathira-rĩ, Jehova nĩagacookerera Turo. Itũũra rĩu nĩrĩgacooka wĩra-inĩ warĩo ũcio ũrehaga uumithio ta rĩkũhũũra ũmaraya, rĩonjorithanagie na mothamaki mothe ma thĩ.
18 Yet her occupying and her wages shall bee holy vnto the Lord: it shall not be laied vp nor kept in store, but her marchandise shalbe for them that dwell before the Lord, to eate sufficiently, and to haue durable clothing.
No rĩrĩ, wonjorithia warĩo na uumithio warĩo nĩikamũrĩrwo Jehova; itikaigwo igĩĩna-inĩ kana ihithwo. Uumithio warĩo ũgaatuĩka wa arĩa matũũraga marongoragia Jehova, moonage irio nyingĩ na nguo njega.
